A must-try for Italian food! I celebrated my birthday weekend in Destin and had the pleasure of dining at Mimmo's. We started with fresh bread served with olive oil and a classic caprese salad. For my entrée, I ordered the Pappardelle All'Aragosta--pappardelle pasta with lobster that truly feeds your soul and fills your heart (and stomach) with love. It was rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. My husband went with the Pizza Fiorentina (chicken pizza). The sauce was creamy and garlicky, pairing perfectly with the toppings and making every bite delicious. To end the night, we celebrated with a birthday cannoli and bourbon bread pudding--both the perfect sweet finish to a special dinner. After a day at the beach my group stopped by Mimmo's to order pizza to enjoy at the house. While waiting my friend and I sat at the bar and had great conversation with the staff. The pizza was ready so fast we couldn't even finish our cocktails. Lol Our group loved the pizza so much I couldn't even get a picture. One of the only restaurants that actually takes reservations on 30A, which is very convenient if you don't want to wait. For drinks, we ordered the Rossini and Sunshine State of Mind. The Sunshine drink tastes exactly like an orange popsicle. We ordered the Melenzana alla Siciliana, which is cheese and ham stuffed eggplant. This was our favorite; I highly recommend it. For the entrees, we ordered the salmon salad and margarita pizza. The salmon salad comes with a full piece of salmon, so delicious. Our waitress Inesa W was very friendly and attentive, and we were seated as soon as we arrived for our reservation time. We had a great experience here. read more

Had an elegant, fun, and tasty first Mimmo's experience. As soon as you walk in, you understand Mimmo's mission. The decor, food, and staff all align well (around said mission). As we walked to our table (be sure to make a reservation on the weekend), every plate looked delicious. We ordered a rose bottle and also tried the red. Both great choices. Food was all fresh and presented well. Dishes included the caprese, garlic knots, ravioli, and lasagna. Sauce (gravy) was fresh and just sweet enough. This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and has a warm, rustic Italian ambiance that's both inviting and comfortable. The service was excellent, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. It's clear that the kitchen uses only high-quality, fresh ingredients, and you can taste the difference. Everything we tried was good, but the Pappardelle All' Aragosta was the standout. It's a house-made pappardelle pasta with fresh lobster meat, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, and a creamy seafood vodka sauce, finished with fresh Parmesan. It was spectacular, and I'll be ordering it again on our next visit without question. Came here for the first time with the party of four and had a reservation for outside. When we were arrived, we got seated promptly by the hostess and greeted by our server. Our server was very kind and thoughtful throughout our entire meal. For my entrée, I got the pappadelle, lobster pasta, and it was amazing! We really liked this place and when we got a little tired of eating seafood at the beach, this was a great alternative (even came back twice). First, the atmosphere of this place really stands out - large location that just has a lot of energy and love the interior decor. The food was also really good - the creamy chicken Parmesan was really good as well as the caprese salad. The Marsala is not your normal chicken Marsala but really liked the flavor and good portion size. The service was really good both nights we were there - place was packed but they were very quick delivering the food and gave good recommendations on the food to order and very friendly. We tried this restaurant over the weekend. This place is quite busy so definitely make reservations in advance. Service was definitely slow. Our drinks came after the food, which is not good. I'm generous with still giving them 4 stars because of the food but they need to do a better job with their service. Ambiance inside is nice. Our server also messed up a couple of times. I asked my pasta to be substituted with broccolini and that didn't happen. So I had to order broccolini again and wait for it on the side. Then we ordered Tito's straight but they ended up adding some watermelon syrup to it, so we couldn't drink that because of all that sugar. Amazing pizza! We missed Happy Hour by 15 mins because the website says 4-6pm but it's actually 3-5pm. No biggie but since we ate lunch we weren't looking for sit down meal though the menu Selection and ambience is excellent. Mimmo's - I'd heard a lot of buzz about this place and am just getting to visit myself. The decor is lovely. High ceilings and some very nice features. We had a reservation but it did seem pleasantly busy. Interesting note - there was foam padding under our table which I suspect is to "dampen" the sound since the room would be VERY noisy without: Concrete floors, wood tables, etc. Our server was earnest though not as knowledgeable as one might hope regarding dietary needs and how various menu items met them. We finally landed on our orders. They do bring a complimentary plate of bread with Olive Oil for dipping. The olive oil has pepper flakes and is a nice changeup for that. I went with the Gamberi Alla Diavola (in the Appetizer area). Our server did mention it was spicy and it does have hot peppers with the shrimp, so there is kick but I found it very good. I think this is the same Sauce they use for the corresponding pasta dish and it would be delicious. I also had the Beet and Goat Cheese salad which was really good. Candied walnuts are a nice touch of crunch. Glad I finally made it. read more

I was served at the bar and helped by Damien, who was 10/10. He was super helpful, great vibes. kind, patient, and gave great recommendations. I ordered a Pappardelle Corlene and ITS SO FREAKING GOOD! I'm not the biggest mushroom fan, but the mushrooms mixed with the beef in this beautiful sauce.... Mouth watering! I loved the tomatoes as it added a fun texture (also not a tomato person) and I highly recommend this dish. Also, the pasta noodles are made in house! The staff was extremely friendly and I loved seeing people recognize staff from previous visits and the staff also recognizing the patrons and greeting them by name and welcoming them back. Some of the freshest food around! Start with the bruschetta and your night of quality cuisine will awaken your palette unlike anything you've experienced. The calamari and Caesar salad were also super delicious. For dinner I got one of the seafood specials with shrimp and scallops. My husband got the Lobster Gnocchi and my son ordered the Vodka Rigatoni with chicken. Everything was beyond amazing! Very rare do you find a restaurant that knows how to produce fine quality dishes and maintain a nice vibe while not forgetting the details. This restaurant has it down. Beautiful atmosphere with several chandeliers and the name glowing in lights. I appreciate the beautiful details to the drinks like clipping a small baby's breath to my martini or adding crushed coconut to the side of my cocktail. It's the little things that make a restaurant memorable. For dessert we had the tiramisu and cannoli paired with a cappuccino. It was the perfect ending to an exceptional night.
