BE CAREFUL! Very poor food quality. With the amount of raw or undercooked items in their dishes, you are really rolling the dice with this place. Tuna was stale and so was the rice it was sitting on. The lobster noodles are supposed to be their signature entree. The noodles were from a bag of Birdseye frozen Asian noodles. They didn't even melt the frozen sauce puck completely before serving. The lobster tastes like it had been sitting out all night and smelled like it will make you very sick. read more

I didn't get a photo of our Maui Smash Burger and Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl, but both were delicious. We had several drinks there throughout the week (all good) but our favorites were the Rumpanion and the Margarita Fría! We will definitely be adding this to our "must stop" list for future Seaside trips. read more

We decided to give this place a try on a whim. The stand out part of our meal here was the Thai Seafood Green Curry. Wow was this good! It had a great amount of heat to it, which was balanced with the subtle coconut flavor. We loved the fish and mussels in it, but sadly, the amount of both were very little. The veggies in it were great. The two starters we got were just okay...The Tuna Crunchy Rice and Volcano Shrimp. The tuna dish was decent (oddly sweet), but the shrimp was a total miss. It did not have much flavor outside of fried batter. We likely would not order either again. I got the So Fresh and So Clean cocktail, which was very refreshing. I liked it a lot. My husband got a drink that was a nightly special and said it was just okay. Service was not great either (even while the restaurant was half empty). One particular complaint is that they brought the dishes out too quickly and close together, which made it hard to enjoy each dish we ordered. Overall, the decor was very fun and inviting. We are not fans of Seaside restaurants. In general, there are long wait times and overpriced menus. But it was my son's bday and he wanted to go to Seaside for dinner. We stumbled across The Daytrader, were quoted a 35-45 min wait and may have waited around 20 mins. Hostess and waitress were super friendly and helped us w menu options. My little got the kids chicken tenders- and they were kids chicken tenders . We started w the boiled peanuts and they were a hit. The girls got virgin contrails and said they were the best they had tasted (which is good bc that price tag ). Three of us had the burger and hands down, all agreed they were some of the best burgers they've ever eaten. My husband got the Mongolian beef, portion was kinda small for the price, but we loved it and two of us got one of the bowls and I can't remember the name but it's the one w steak- we also loved that. We were sat inside out of the heat so that was nice. Overall we will make the trip to Seasode for their burgers again, but as far as value... I mean for 30A it's typical, but still hurts when ya have a large family. Great job tho, we did seriously love it! read more

The Daytrader is in a great location, just outside of Seaside's Central Square. It's the perfect spot to escape the summer heat, cool off in the AC, enjoy a few cold drinks, and grab a quick lunch. The location is definitely prime, but the food fell a little short for us. The smashburger was good, but it lacked the thin, crisp-edged patties you usually expect from a true smashburger. The Spam Musubi was very salty, likely because the rice was seasoned as well. On the plus side, the Dos Pilotos draft was excellent, though unfortunately they ran out after just one glass. The fries were perfectly cooked and the drinks were cold, both a big plus on a hot July day. Service was friendly and efficient, but for a $120 lunch that consisted of a smashburger, kids burger, Spam Masubi two drinks and fries, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. We'd definitely come back but will probably try their happy hour next visit. read more

For the price, we were underwhelmed by The Daytrader. The Hawaiian food was average, but not as good as other Hawaiian restaurants in the local area. The main issue we had was with the Grouper "fresh catch". Grouper in and of itself is very mild, but when truly the daily catch, it has almost no taste. For a $30 sandwich, that is what was expected. Instead, we were met with a fillet that was fishy and tasted eerily similar to a frozen fillet. Take that how you will. At the price point, we would come back for cocktails, but eat elsewhere in the area. read more

I hadn't been to seaside in like 4 years and so I was excited to see something new there and especially a tiki bar Overall the ambiance was fun and especially since we were there during the Christmas pop up it was decorated really cutely I will also state that I thought our server was great, though I can't remember her name. She was very welcoming and helpful. However the other servers either seemed to not want to be there or had weird attitudes. I heard another server ask a woman at the table behind " do you really want that?" After she ordered and then tried to push the lobster on her. Which the woman luckily stood her ground and didn't get it. The prices are wild. I asked about the lobster noodles that I had seen posted on their FB and found out they were $65 and a lobster poboy was 40 something, most of the things on the menu were pretty pricey The food was good though and I got the sangria which was a good value because it was like 2 and 1/2 glasses in one cost and very tasty However due to the high prices I don't know if I would come back again read more

Love that it's just off the beach! We sat outside and the service was great. We went during happy hour and enjoyed the Maui sliders along with a mocktail for me and a few various cocktails for my husband! Ended up ordering dinner as well. I got the shrimp teriyaki bowl which was 10/10. My husband got the Maui burger and was a little disappointed, said the sliders version was better (that maybe the forgot some of the toppings?)
