We went back to Crabby Steve's for what I think is the third time over the past few years. It's always a fun place to stop by when you've been spending most of the day at the beach in Seacrest Beach along 30A. We ordered two virgin drinks at the bar-- a Piña Colada and a Mango Daiquiri. Both were very refreshing on a hot summer day! The restaurant seemed decently busy, and the bartenders were nice. At one point, one of the bartenders checked the tip jar, which I thought was a little odd and probably something that shouldn't be done in front of guests. Other than that, everything was great! The only expectations I had for Crabby Steve's was beach vibes, views, and drinks - all of which I got - but the excellent food was a surprise. Everyone in our 7-person party enjoyed their apps and entrees. I tried the following: -Peel and eat jumbo shrimp- these royal red shrimp are apparently caught locally (in the gulf) and they are AMAZING. Succulent, flavorful, tender, a little sweet. The only comparable shrimp I remember having were at Penny here in New York and they were smaller and way more expensive. -Spicy tuna dip- also a highlight! The tuna is smoked and the dip has a medium fresh-green-pepper spiciness. -Ceviche Good! This was a special. The base ingredient was shrimp and aside from the citrus, there was some hot sauce drizzled on the top. Also served with tasty avocado. -Bushwacker (frozen; white rum, coffee, Irish cream, chocolate liqueur, float): I wanted to have one of these on the trip! I thought it was tasty and refreshing, tasted mostly chocolatey, and was served in a metal cup, which kept it nice and cold. It was obviously sweet, but not overly sweet. read more

Off the beach. Great place to grab a quick bite or a frozen drink to carry down to the beach. Cindy was our waitress and such a sweet woman - her recommendations were on point. We ordered the Cuban and the Guinness burger which both were awesome! The prices were reasonable. The only hard point is availability is limited. We had a party of 6 so our older kids sat at a different table (which they probably preferred) and we sat further away. They seat you as you arrive so make sure your whole party is there. Come without shoes or shirts because it doesn't matter- this place is super casual and outdoors. Closed Mondays! read more

I use a wheelchair and wanted to eat here, but they have no accessible entrance. They are only accessible through the hotel IF YOU'RE A GUEST, and only open to the public from the beach. My group wanted to eat there but could not without leaving me behind.... We tried to call to ask about an accessible entrance but their only posted phone number is suspended. Horribly sad that they basically only exclude handicap people who aren't guests. read more

Place is absolutely impossible to get to and should be better advertised that it's impossible to get to. Parking was a nightmare than had to walk half a mile just to be told we can't get to the restaurant. Then had to walk back. Wasted over an hour trying to just locate this place. read more

I went like 3 times during the week I stayed at seacrest. The drinks are great and it's on the beach and extremely convenient. Service is kind of slow because they're always busy, but the servers are really nice. Food is mid, but it gets the job done for beach eats. read more

I have no idea what is wrong with people that they'd give this place anything less than 4 or 5 stars? We thought the service was great and so was the food. We got an appetizer and drinks. I ordered a piña colada and the server recommended their special- a blueberry piña colada with an extra rum floater, it did not disappoint. We got chips and guacamole to snack on. It all came out quick and tasted so good! I love that it's only accessible by beach- it makes it feel more exclusive and really gives you the authentic beach bar experience. There were several locals there when we arrived (always a good sign). We are staying in Rosemary Beach and we thought the prices at CS's were very reasonable and refeshing. LOVED that you have amazing beach views and that it's all outdoor. Kick back, enjoy the views, the food, and the drinks. 11/10. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Great beach Pub! I think the public can only get to it from the beach since it is in a gated community. Had some drinks and sandwiches siting at bar. Everything was great. What an incredible location and fun spot to dine while enjoying the beach. Love that our only access is directly while on the beach. True Rating- 3.3/5 Stars Solid for a beach bar. The food was pretty good. Service was great and pretty quick. There is not much seating, and nothing indoors, but again - beach bar. I had the blackened grouper sandwich, and it was great. So were the sweet potato fries. Others in my party had the Jerk chicken sandwich and the chicken tenders. As far as I heard, only the chicken tenders weren't good. Their cocktail also had way too much salt. Facilities were typical beach bar. Not too much to write home about. I do not know if there were any bathrooms. Biggest knock against the place is it is only accessible via the beach. Cost was a bit pricey for my blood - but that's okay. It was good so no complaints. About a mile walk from Inlet public beach access on the beach and well worth it. Contrary to many reviews we read, the hostess, bartenders, and server were extremely warm and hospitable. Heads up. You can only get here from beach access. It's an absolute pain to get to from the street. We biked .5 miles more than needed and then were turned away still from another way to get to the restaurant and were told if we kept walking we could get there after another .5 walk- with two young children. A short beautiful waters edge walk from Rosemary beach and who should have to talk you into a beach walk to get to great food, frozen cocktails, fresh daily fish choices and a fun staff! This has been a go to for my family multiple summers now! When we vacation to 30A we make sure to have Crabby Steve's for at least 2-3 lunches. Drinks are delicious! Crab Cake sandwich is next level! Okay, okay. Five stars for a walk up beach restaurant? Absolutely!!!! CS has the best views (stunning,) the best crab cake sandwiches (fresh and grilled,) and the most iconic owner (Steve of course!) of anyplace on the beach! Located directly on the beach, CS offers an interesting menu of carefully prepared items every day. From their kimchi Reuben to their blackened salmon and avocado wraps, every item is delicious. There is a full bar and drinks can be carried down to the beach below. But this deliciousness doesn't come easy. If you aren't staying at the condo complex where CS is located you'll have to walk up some serious stairs to get there. Consider it the way to work off some of those delicious calories you are about to consume. Steve is meticulous and is constantly working to make sure diners are greeted, tables are bussed, and that every diner is pleased with their food. Overall I felt the food was good, I was hesitant after reading the reviews but this place was within walking distance of where we were staying. If you aren't staying on the property/hotel, the only way to access the restaurant is by the beach entrance. Prices were inline with the area. Service was quick. I read several reviews about poor service, but personally didn't experience any issues myself- I did notice the owner was pacing around and could see how people could interpret that. Jerk chicken was very juicy and I was very surprised. Drinks were fair, not too water downed. I would return if in the area. read more

We came to this bar to beat the rain at the beach and the entire staff was extremely rude and not accommodating. Blonde Bar tender w short hair yelled at us for standing under the bar to get dry while we were just trying to eat the food we had just paid for. If you are planning on coming here, it's vital to know that the only way to enter publicly is by walking through the beach. Otherwise, you can only enter through the hotel if you are staying there. The food is very good. I had the crab cakes and pasta salad. The pasta salad had a balsamic dressing which I thought was strange at first but it tasted alright. Their practices are behind on the times but it gives the restaurant charm. I think we met crabby Steve as the name accurately describes him haha. But our waitress was a doll. They are now on an electronic payment system but when you look at the bill there isn't an itemized receipt.
