Great service, delicious food, and incredible views of the water. This place is so dreamy and the view of the water is otherworldly.

We went here for a Mother's Day Brunch, on 5/10/26. The price was $95/person. We ate at least one of everything to ensure we got our moneys worth. Everything was lukewarm, and not fresh. The prime rib was actually well done, and tough. The salmon Benedict was chewy, not supposed to be. Potatoes were actually cold, when I went to get my prime rib, one of the workers did not want to help me, so he simply stepped back and pointed at another worker to help me. We were served water in plastic cups, and no decorations on any of the tables, for the fantastic Mom's. The Bloody Mary was not good...no mix, just vodka and Tobasco. The photograph on their advertisement for this Mother's Day brunch, showed a plate of food and a mimosa. They offered no description of what was included for the $95 per person. I called them twice and left two messages. I also left a message on their Facebook page, simply asking for a description of what the $95 included. No response, nothing. This is a place that is highly recommended on 38, and we see no reason to recommend this place to anybody or to ever revisit going here. Also, upon asking our waitress for our check, we were told that there would be an automatic gratuity added, which turned out to be just over $60. Non negotiable. We watched the manager who was resting a khaki colored suit, white hair, and glasses, walk around to almost every table in the restaurant, except for ours. We will not be back. Our opinion is that it is overpriced, subpar, quality food, nothing fresh about anything, average service, and really sneaky with the service fee that they add on after your meal is completed. We dined at Vue on 30A last night and, unfortunately, our experience didn't quite live up to expectations. We had a 7:15 reservation and still waited over 30 minutes to be seated. While we enjoyed a drink at the bar during the wait, we had arrived early, so it felt like quite a long delay. Once seated, the view was beautiful, though we didn't get to see the sunset from our table. I ordered the fried chicken, which was actually delicious and perfectly cooked. However, my husband had the red snapper special and only made it through a few bites--it just didn't sit well and wasn't enjoyable. We ended up skipping dessert because of this. The staff was friendly and courteous, but the dining area felt like it could use some attention--there were visible water spots on the ceiling and an overall sense that the space could use some refreshing. All in all, while the setting is lovely and the staff was kind, the experience left us quite underwhelmed. read more

We came here for a group dinner on our trip and made some great memories. We had a reservation for 5:45pm on a weekday. I loved that they have their own private lot that is large and an overflow lot across the street that is even bigger. We were able to park in the main lot easily and were greeted at the door with someone opening it for us. We were seated immediately and ordered drinks and then some appetizers. The lamb lollipops were my favorite as the cook was perfect and the chimichurri marinade spot on. For my main meal I for the filet, which was a bit dry, but still tasty. The mashed potatoes it came with was just ok. We did get up and take pictures outside during sunset as it has an elevated view and it turned out great. Dined at Vue on 30a this past weekend with friends and had a great time. If you want to just go to the bar and watch the sunset this place has epic views. The service was great from being greeted when walking out after dinner. Our waitress was professional and gave great recommendations and knew the menu inside and out. I started out with the wedge salad w no blue cheese crumbles and had it with ranch dressing. The salad came out cold and crisp. My entree I had southern style fish and chips. I got my grouper grilled not fried. It was very good and the fish was cooked perfectly. Other dinner companions had the filet and they said the meat cut like butter. For dessert I had the raspberry crème brûlée. The presentation was great, but I would suggest the chocolate mousse or beignets. We were told to get reservation, so we did for 6:00. Glad we did by 6:30 the restaurant filled up. We started out with drinks, I got a Margarita, noticed how big it is, it was good. On to appetizers, Lamb Lillipops, they were good, and the Ember Shrimp, they were amazing!! We got 2 orders for a table of 5. Glad we did, because we cleaned both the plates!!! These are a must to get! I got the Gumbo, it was ok, didn't have the Cajun flavor I was looking for. For my entree I got the Southern-Style Fish and Shrimp with Chips. Very boring, lacked flavor. Most amazing experience! We had reservations at 7:45pm and had to wait a short time for our table and the hostess offered to comp our drinks and appetizer! The view was gorgeous at sunset! For an appetizer we had the ember shrimp and it was so delicious. Then for a meal I shared the Southern Fried Chicken Breast that was super delicious. Someone recommended coming here this since we were staying close. Great ambience, got in rather quickly. After a few minutes waiting we got some drinks ordered and some apps. I ordered the beef poke, never had beef this Way before. Quite surprised by the taste texture, and set up of it. It was very good didn't taste like I was eating raw meat. Also, I ordered Cesar salad and scallops. Scallops were cooked perfectly light sear, not overcooked. During the time of our appetizers, the restaurant had cleared out at this time about 8 o'clock. It's got a great atmosphere a lot of windows to see the ocean, private members area if you belong to the country club, large bar and plenty of seating inside and out. For dinner we had vegetable pasta, which my friend said was very good filet mignon cooked perfectly with a demi-glaze sauce. A halibut special which might be the best I've ever had, Light flakey and juicy. Overall nice place, plenty of parking and nice staff. Try it if your in the area. read more

OK, thing number one about this restaurant is that they take reservations. You can count on one nose the number of restaurants on 30A that do the same. Number two, is that the restaurant that takes reservations is very good. Cocktails? Big glass, fat ice, nice pour. (It's a country club restaurant at its heart.) Number three. Good food. It trends towards country club fancy, but that's OK. Plenty of fried seafood joints up and down 30A. So order another cocktail, watch the sunset, and enjoy your evening. read more

Notttttt worth the money. Paid $46 for shrimp and scallops with 3 pieces of shrimp in it. Our reservation was at 7:30pm and we got our food around 8:45pm. We did have a big party and our server was very nice, but the bill was insane for food that's mediocre. read more

Come for the Vue, stay for dinner! That's what we did and what a lovely evening. Situated on the beachfront, it has great views of the ocean and sunset (if you are there for the sunset). Service was excellent! We were celebrating a birthday and he took special care of our honored guest. I ordered the Shrimp, Fish and chips plus a Caesar salad. The Salad was very good BUT if I go again I would skip because my entree portion was large and I brought home tons of the fries. The Shrimp, Fish and Chips is a great dish. As previously mentioned, tons of fries, good fried shrimp, but the Fish was outstanding. Very flavorful white fish that was certainly the highlight of the meal. We made a reservation for our anniversary so we were seated right away. Our waiter was super nice and everything was clean with a beautiful view! My husband ordered their special and I ordered the chicken dish. Both of us liked the sauces/veggies and contents of our dish other than the fish and chicken. Our extended family (9 adults and 2 children) went to dinner at Vue on 30a and we had a very nice experience. Our server was excellent, keeping all the food and drink orders straight! The cocktails that were ordered were delicious and the wine that was recommended was wonderful! We had Calamari, Fried Green Tomato and Crab Cakes as appetizers - all delicious. The Caesar salads were very fresh. I do not remember the entrée that everyone got, but whether it was steak or seafood, it was all prepared excellently and tasted wonderful. I would recommend this place. It has a local feel to it, with several obvious "regulars" who were dining there and also seated at the bar. We will be back! read more

We thought it was a great place to go for the view mainly and we were prepared for that but what a pleasant surprise... the food was awesome. Our reservations were at 5:00 and we arrived early and was able to enjoy a drink at the bar while we waited. The service was great! I would like to preface this review with a statement about fine dining. If you are ordering a starter, do not expect to receive Chili's size portions for $20 at a beachside restaurant. Don't be an idiot. The quality of the ingredients alone is enough to fill you up. The atmosphere was gorgeous. For being next to a clubhouse pool, it was surprisingly peaceful. The service was swift and nothing was prepared incorrectly. I tried a bit of almost every entree at my 8-top bachelorette party and everything was beautifully presented and delicious. My friends praised the espresso martini (thanks to the bartender). This might be the best beachside restaurant i've been to. Been coming to Santa Rosa for 25 year, love the Vue - white table cloth dining and fabulous gulf view (hence the name). Menu and venue never change, but a nice diversion from the "fried captains platter" of 30A. Aside from dropping in after a round of golf, we usually go there for dinner at least one evening in each visit for dinner but we also love walking along the beach from our house for a drink on the deck to watch the sun set. Said to my wife, we have plans to eat dinner later this week - but let's go grab a drink there. Walked the beach to the restaurant - one large table on the deck occupied but Every. Single. Other. Table. Empty. My wife asked the fella (huge beard dude) if we could get a drink and watch the sunset. His response - (1) need to ask the greeter at the front desk and (2) you can't go in cause your feet are sandy. Completely understand his house pride but weirdly aggressive. I got to go in because, presumably, I was less sandy. I navigated to the front desk and asked if it would be ok if we got a drink and sit at one of the empty tables outside for a while. The greeter - a petite mature lady - then proceeded to talk to me like I was a toddler. Apparently the only place that people are allowed to have a drink and sit is in the bar. Any outside tables and the restaurant itself - aka any tables overlooking the beach - were for people having dinner. I dared to point out that it was 5pm and (other than one table) none were occupied and would it be all right if we occupied one table while drinking, Her response was - are you having dinner? I restated my previous request and was met with a shoulder-shrug, face smirk "yeah" response, I honestly thought she was joking and waited for the - sure go grab a drink, sit down and if we need the table we'll let you know. Nope. My wife and I left, went to a bar east of the Vue, enjoyed a couple of cocktails and appetizers. Really weird to post this review, because we have such good memories and experiences at this place. Eh. I have been to 30a for many years and saw this place driving by. The hostess and manager are Snooty, and this establishment is trying to be "exclusive" almost like a country club.
