Never been to Whataburger, first timer, expected your typical fast food burger joint. Ordered burgers, they were good, the mustard really hits the spot. Ice tea was really good, tastes like home made. Chicken tenders were good as well. Expected nothing less than a fast food joint and got what we expected. What is COMPLETELY surprising was the onion rings and vanilla shake. The onion rings were thinly battered with a nice crunch. It's better than 90% of onion rings served in pubs. Actually it's probably the best onion rings I've ever tasted in a fast food joint. The vanilla shake was not too sweet and has a real different taste to it. More premium. Stopped here for a quick lunch while in Destin. I have had whataburger in the past on a couple other trips down south so I knew what to expect. I got the bacon and cheese whataburger combo. The burger was very good, not as good as Wendy's burgers but I'd say above average. The location was clean. Workers were very friendly and were giving out free iced coffees when we were there for some reason. Everyone's order was correct and were happy with their meals. For 2 combos and 1 kids meal it was around $32, so I personally think it is on the pricier side for fast food but everything is up in price these days. I would come here again. read more

This Whataburger is located across the way from the Harbor Walk Boulevard. We came here to eat before going on a boat ride. We dined in of course and I got the Bacon Cheeseburger and my friend got the Regular Whataburger. We got the opportunity to try their Spicy Ketchup Edition 1 and 2. Edition 2 was limited edition. Managed to swipe up a few packets to take back home since it was limited edition. My friend was actually impressed with this Whataburger vs. the one we stopped at in Alabama. To me it tasted the same not a bad thing but, I will say customer service was better here. Our burgers of course were delish and so were the fries. I loved the spicy ketchup edition 2 not so big on the first edition it tasted like a bell pepper or something like that. The 2nd tasted like a ketchup with a kick. Whataburger location inside of Destin Florida me and my family stopped in at for breakfast on our way leaving our family vacation back home to Louisville. Before this visit I had been to a Whataburger 3 times in my life including once earlier that week for lunch at a location in fort walton Florida. I enjoy there food. At the other two I visited (Houston and Oklahoma City) I had terrible service and they masers my order up. This location and the fort walton one both did great on those aspects. We was curious about here breakfast menu so we stopped at this one on our way out. Breakfast menu is extremely limited. But the cool thing is they serve there lunch/dinner menu the whole time too. So that's a cool and different approach. I wasn't that interested in there breakfast options so i stuck with a Whataburger and chivalry shake. Good stuff. My wife and daughter got a breakfast sausage burrito and liked it a lot. They came with little hash brown sides that I sampled and it was pretty good. Overall I enjoy Whataburgers. Good food and Better then most major franchise fast food burgers. I wish we would get some back home here in Lousiville Kentucky. read more

Y'all, this place should be called Wheredaburger, because it's so damned hard to get food here. Our first attempt was the drive thru at around 8:00 pm. In line for about 30 minutes. The line appeared to move every 7 or 8 minutes but as we got closer we realized people were just pulling out of line and leaving! My daughter went inside to get some info or order there, but there was literally one person working the counter and the drive thru and she saw only one person in the kitchen. The line of cars was down the street and the restaurant interior was full of folks waiting to order. We left. We went back the next day at 11:00 am and after sitting in the drive thru for 15 min and not moving, we pulled to the lot and went inside. We ordered there and finally got food. Not gonna lie, it was tasty. I hate fast food due to its mostly unhealthy nature, but promised two New Orleans teens Whataburger and couldn't back out. We came during dinning hours and they have what looks like an adequate amount of employees but no body seemed to have an assigned task. So I had to see what all the hype was about as we do not have these restaurants back in the St. Louis area where I'm from. The drive-thru really could not accommodate the number of cars trying to even pull onto the property, leaving us and several behind us on hwy 98 holding up traffic. The line did not move all that fast but we finally got through the line. Fresh burger. I got the standard Whataburger with cheese and it was massive. I wasn't a fan of the bun, which was a bit tough. Fries were well past their prime by the time they were passed out the window to us. Large drink cups were a nice touch. As burger joints go, this is one of the best! The size of the burgers are great and the flavor is awesome! This blows McDonald's or Burger King out of the water! The staff here were friendly and helpful. Our daughter dropped her burger on the ground after her first bite. They replaced it for us for free!!
