We are on vacation and wanted good seafood. Here is the place in Destin. The Maui Maui was excellent. The other had a PoorBoy Shrimp and a shrimp . The service was very good and friendly. The place was clean with a 10 minutes wait. Got ther at 4:30 pm.

Olivia was our server and she was splendid. The place is open aired and beachside so your experience is laid back and relaxed. The food was tasty and everyone enjoyed their dish. The crab claws were meaty and my blackened grouper was seasoned well and not too hot. I recommend this spot..

Dined here for Mother's Day. Seems like a pretty popular restaurant. We were told we had a 40 min wait but seemed to only be 20 mins. Our server was Olivia and she was great. I ordered the fried crab claws and the blackened grouper sandwich with double fries, the sandwich comes with coleslaw and you can substitute for any sides on the menu. The crab claws were meaty and seasoned very well. The grouper sandwich was a large piece of fish, seasoned well with lettuce and tomato with a pickle on the side. Highly recommend. Located on the beach, we had a perfect view of the sunset. For my beverage I ordered the virgin pina colada and it was delicious. Parking can be tricky but there is a large parking lot across the street.

Last meal in vacation and The Back Perch was recommended ... Night time dining with the beach view ... and how lucky our waitress has a sense of humor I started with the crab and spinach Dip for my appetizer... wasn't bad but it's very cream cheese heavy... personally I would have loved for it to be served hotter but no biggie. For my entree I went with the Amberjack Parmesan ... with mash potatoes and the green bean medley . Ladies and Gentle WE GOT ONE... the mash potatoes nothing special , green bean medley I would get double mash next time .... BUT the star of the show was the Amberjack fish ... cook perfectly where I could enjoy the actual taste of the fish. And the sauce on top was a the perfect topping. Be sure to stop by

First - our server was Bilol was fantastic. He was so attentive and could tell he wanted us to have a great experience. We kept him running and he offered no complaint. Excellent service. Second - I'm not a seafood or fish gal and found the selections limited. But the rest of my table enjoyed a variety of seafood dishes with elation. Third - Casual but good vibe. Last - Don't dottle - arrive early.

4 stars coz nachos wasn't my fave! Everything else was good though. Waitress was wonderful. Great view of the ocean. Kids meal come with a frisbee and my 7yr old had a wonderful time afterwards by the shore. Wait was only 15-20 mins.. crowded though.

In all honesty a 4.5 but had to go with a 4 vs a 5 since you can't give half stars. Me and wife came here for dinner the day we arrived in town. We looked at some places and this seemed to have the best reviews. The restaurant is right on the beach with really nice views. It appeared as if the bar was filled with locals which to me was a good sign. The staff were very friendly and we were seated right away. I'm not huge into seafood so I ordered the chicken and Swiss sandwich with fries. It was delicious and the fries were fantastic. It is a chargrilled breast with bacon and Swiss cheese. The wife ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and it came with southern corn and a side. She chose the twice baked potato. The size of the dish is really enough for two. She said it was excellent. She was really impressed with how fresh and delicious it was. I did have some of the potato and it was really good. I also ordered a side of onion rings and they were good as well. All in all I highly recommend this place for the food views and vibes.

Not the best food for the price. We went there for dinner. It may be worth going just for the view. I am sure they have a beautiful view during the day. We did get a piece of orange cake for dessert that was phenomenal. I have to say our waiter he was good also. Just not allot to say about our meal.

Easy to locate but just far enough off the main drag, we (four adults, one 15 year old) went to The Back Porch for lunch today. The restaurant is large, perched right on the beach, clean and comfortable. Our waitress was knowledgeable, kind, timely, and professional. Three of us got the Amberjack, one got the Mahi, and the youngest got the chicken and swiss. Everything was delicious. We even ended up splitting a piece of the key lime pie (also pretty amazing). Highly recommended.

This is the perfect spot on the beach. I mean, the views are amazing. And that's what you're paying for. Parking is limited but I noticed most people just walk to this place. It is big and can accommodate big and small parties. If you have a group, everyone must be present for you to get a table. The service is good, everyone was attentive. The food, just average and frankly, a bit overpriced. And again, that view!!!! Perfection.

We sat outside, enjoyed the live music, and the atmosphere was perfect for a group celebration. Service was quick and attentive, especially considering how busy they were. Food wise, the pimento cheese dip was unfortunately not a hit for our group. It had a very thick, almost paste like consistency and was difficult to spread. I also ordered the corn and crab bisque, and personally was not a fan of the sweeter flavor. For my meal, I ordered the summer salad and absolutely loved it. I finished every bite. Our server also highly recommended the first three fish options on the menu, and everyone who ordered fish completely cleaned their plates. Portion sizes were very generous. The only issue we had was the bride's steak being overcooked, but the manager personally came over, addressed it, and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, great atmosphere, live music, generous portions, and solid service. A fun spot for groups and celebrations!

The restaurant is very large with indoor and outdoor dining areas, and it is casual, but classy. Overall, we had a great experience. The host was fine; however, lacked empathy and customer service skills. He was a full 30 seconds ahead of us, and if we wouldn't have been tracking him with our eyes, we wouldn't have known where to sit. By the time we got to the table, he was nowhere to be found; however, the menus were in a pile on the table. Our server, on the other hand, was very pleasant. He was kind, caring and kept us informed and checked in on us frequently. The table shared the crab cakes and the blue crab claws, both of which were very good. Of course, the complimentary hush puppies are definitely a hit as well. For my entree I had the Grouper Louisianne. It was a tasty piece of fish, that came with a great side salad and a super delicious twice baked potato. Other than the host, the other reason for the minus one star, was the unusually long time it took between the salad course and the main course. It was a full 20 minute wait, after we were done with our salads, for the main course to arrive. Otherwise, I would likely try the restaurant again at a future time, if something brought me back to the area.

Chef Terrance was sensational and worked his magic for real! He took our fresh haul of fish and prepared it three different ways! The Vermilion snapper was fried to golden-brown perfection, the Tuna was blackened with a deep and sultry flavor, while the Triggerfish was beautifully seared. And let's not forget about those phenomenal sides which included roasted broccolini, crispy Brussels sprouts, fried corn, French fries, and some of the best creamy gouda grits I've ever had. We even had an amazing seared Lionfish dish as this was during the Emerald Coast Open. But the day would not have been complete it was not for our server, Naz. No words can describe how much he elevated the experience! The attention to detail was flawless, and his anticipation of our needs was so on-point I don't think we ever had to ask for a anything.
