Crab Claws - Market Price
Russell G.

Ash took good care of us as our server. I had the crab claws meal . They were very good. Sides were good as well. Everyone was pleased with their meals. The restaurant was well kept with a good vibe and most of us had enough food to take home after dinner.

Kainan was the best! He served the 8 of us with great care. The triple tail Parmesan was so delicious!!

We had a great experience at this seafood spot! The service really stood out, our server was super attentive and even shared some fun stories about his life, which made the whole meal feel more personal. You don't often get that kind of connection anymore, so it was genuinely appreciated. I ordered the mahi-mahi street tacos (my first time trying them!) and they were delicious. I'm slowly exploring seafood again after having a past allergy, and this dish was a win. The sauce on top was flavorful, but there was quite a bit of lettuce felt more like a taco-salad hybrid, haha. Still tasty though! The house salad with their homemade blue cheese dressing was amazing. I'd go back just for that. Fries were just okay kind of bland and I tried a hush puppy, which didn't have much flavor either. But overall, pricing was fair and the main dish and service made it worth it.

Food is always great! Hush puppies are delicious! Collard greens are full of flavor! Nice spot near the boardwalk. Check it out!

We went here for lunch had the blackened triple tail and fries others had the shrimp everything was good

Blackened Snapper

Blackened snapper was amazzzzing, we also tried the fried mahi tacos. The roumalde was to die for. Service was quick and thorough. Upper deck area seating was great, beautiful view of the harbor.

Pecan Crusted Triple Tail

The server and food were good! We enjoyed the complimentary Cole Slaw. I had the pecan crusted triple tail (server recommended) and was very pleased with the entree. I requested a salad for a side and had to substitute both the mashed potatoes and green beans it normally is served with to avoid paying additional. We went as a family and several felt the French fries were soggy. I was disappointed in the lack of any greeting when we entered the establishment. 3 girls were at the host stand with heads down, in their phones. It wasn't a good first impression but thankfully our server made up for it. We went shortly after 4 with no wait for seating.

The dock just outside the restaurant

We went for the harbor marina views on their heated covered patio at sunset, and I highly suggest and have yourself a Dock Rocker beverage. Service was fast, very nice, and drinks were excellent. Food was good, but of the 11 of us in our group, about 3 or 4 of us had meals that were overcooked. We had a bit better seafood at some of the other locations in Destin and Miramar. We'd definitely return for the ambience and drinks if nothing else, and maybe try some of the fried seafood options.

This is a local treasure. Everyone comes here at least one time during their stay. We have all your regular fried things. Hush puppies are delicious. Fried shrimp yummy my husband had the mahi it was grilled and delicious. That sphere can't be beat. Beautiful view on the dock. They have the best Keylime pie.:)

Blackened fish

I knew when I asked for a glass of wine and it was served with someone's lipstick on the side, I should've run the other way. This restaurant should be ashamed of themselves. Following putting your name on a list you're given the opportunity to grab a drink at "the window." This is literally a hole they cut out of the building that someone from the bar passes you a drink. Mind you, if you're lucky you might just get a clean glass. I, however, was not that fortunate. The restaurant is located on the harbor and for that, I give it 2 stars. It was nice to walk around and look at the boats while waiting to be seated. The server was super nice and very efficient. The problem didn't come when ordering dinner. It came with eating dinner. Even beyond the lipstick stained glass from earlier, dinner itself was the truly shameful part. You can't just fry something with no flavor and call it a meal. On the flip side, serving fish with a half inch layer of spices and call it blackened doesn't constitute something edible. Even the fries were straight out of the same frozen bag my grandmother used to throw in the oven. Difference is she knew to add salt. We couldn't wait to pay the check and pretend we had've chosen a different avenue for dinner. I'm just gonna end this review with this. It was bad. It was very bad.

Fried Shrimp
Aja F.

Found this place in yelp and wanted to try due to the raves. It's in an old shack on the water. The service was quick and everyone was friendly and helpful. The ambiance was relaxing because you enjoy your food outside on the dock. The food was fried to perfection but needed some seasoning. It's an experience to try.

This was a classic fish house environment, which is perfect. The stuffed shrimp was really awesome. Crab cakes were also very good. The sauce with the crab cakes is unbelievable. Also, considering the line to order was a little long, but we ordered and got our food surprisingly quick. Job well done Dewey Destin's!!!

boiled stuffed shrimp

Ate here while on vacation. Staff were friendly, and we were seated quickly. We ordered the hot crab dip for the table, and it was very tasty topped with the cajun seasoning. The stuffed shrimp was extremely greasy and made it hard to enjoy the plate. Pricing was a little high, but seafood was fresh and delicious! Overall would recommend for a dinner.

We sat outside, enjoyed the live music, and the atmosphere was perfect for a group celebration. Service was quick and attentive, especially considering how busy they were. Food wise, the pimento cheese dip was unfortunately not a hit for our group. It had a very thick, almost paste like consistency and was difficult to spread. I also ordered the corn and crab bisque, and personally was not a fan of the sweeter flavor. For my meal, I ordered the summer salad and absolutely loved it. I finished every bite. Our server also highly recommended the first three fish options on the menu, and everyone who ordered fish completely cleaned their plates. Portion sizes were very generous. The only issue we had was the bride's steak being overcooked, but the manager personally came over, addressed it, and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, great atmosphere, live music, generous portions, and solid service. A fun spot for groups and celebrations!

The space has a cool indoor/outdoor setup, and the night we went they had live music, which made the whole place feel really lively. We started with the tzatziki, shrimp wonton rolls, and potstickers. All three were great, but the shrimp wonton rolls were my favorite. For my main, I ordered the grilled shrimp pita (loaded with shrimp) with fries--definitely hit the spot. Around the table we also had burgers, a Mediterranean bowl, and pork belly tacos, and everyone loved their meals. We were so full we didn't even make it to dessert. Overall, great vibe, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out--just plan on taking an Uber or Lyft since parking is limited.

We brought in our fresh catch for their "Hook and Cook" experience, and from the time we sat down the folks at Brotula's treated us like celebrities! The restaurant was spacious and well decorated and made you feel like you were on the beach but then nothing could compare to the experience which was simply amazing! Chef Terrance was sensational and worked his magic for real! He took our fresh haul of fish and prepared it three different ways! The Vermilion snapper was fried to golden-brown perfection, the Tuna was blackened with a deep and sultry flavor, while the Triggerfish was beautifully seared. And let's not forget about those phenomenal sides which included roasted broccolini, crispy Brussels sprouts, fried corn, French fries, and some of the best creamy gouda grits I've ever had. We even had an amazing seared Lionfish dish as this was during the Emerald Coast Open. But the day would not have been complete it was not for our server, Naz. No words can describe how much he elevated the experience! The attention to detail was flawless, and his anticipation of our needs was so on-point I don't think we ever had to ask for a anything. This is the type of service you can write a book about! So if you are in Destin and especially if you've been fishing and need a place to cook your catch, please do yourself a favor and hop on over to Brotula's! Huge thanks to Naz and Chef Terrance!

The main part consisted of 1lb snow crab, cluster crab, gulf shrimp, mussels, and king crab. The cajun flavor enhanced the dinner experience much more, and our entire family finished the whole plate. We have never ate seafood like this before, and it felt so good to explore another famous taste of authentic seafood. Try to enter around 6-7 pm, because the restaurant prioritizes outside seating and it does get packed after the said hours. When you visit Destin, maybe give this delicious seafood restaurant a try.

He was a full 30 seconds ahead of us, and if we wouldn't have been tracking him with our eyes, we wouldn't have known where to sit. By the time we got to the table, he was nowhere to be found; however, the menus were in a pile on the table. Our server, on the other hand, was very pleasant. He was kind, caring and kept us informed and checked in on us frequently. The table shared the crab cakes and the blue crab claws, both of which were very good. Of course, the complimentary hush puppies are definitely a hit as well. For my entree I had the Grouper Louisianne. It was a tasty piece of fish, that came with a great side salad and a super delicious twice baked potato. Other than the host, the other reason for the minus one star, was the unusually long time it took between the salad course and the main course. It was a full 20 minute wait, after we were done with our salads, for the main course to arrive. Otherwise, I would likely try the restaurant again at a future time, if something brought me back to the area.

It looked like a nice, relaxing, elevated restaurant we could relax at after a day of excursions. It really wasn't that. After spending most of our days eating at the themed surf restaurants that decorate with shark heads, surfboards and tiki lights. We had hoped this would be a change, it's really not. It may not be grossly decorated with those tiki-style items, but most certainly is that same type of restaurant. It's not elegant, it's not elevated and its most certainly, not relaxing. The food was very good, the service from our waitress, Savannah was mediocre. She seemed bored or maybe having a bad night and was doing her best to cover it with a smile. We ate up at the skybar which does have a very lovely view. The high-top table and chairs are uncomfortable. My wife and I had to come off the chairs to stand next to the table for a few moments because the chairs were so uncomfortable. As far as their food goes, I had the shrimp tacos. They were made with very fresh tasting ingredients and the shrimp wasdelicious. At least the 2 pieces per taco they came with. Most of what was in the taco was just the filling. $22.00 for two tacos I expected more shrimp. My wife's Grouper Moreno and the conch fritter appetizer were both delicious. Dessert was the salted caramel cheesecake which was good, but ridiculously sweet (as you'd expect it to be) Overall, the food was very good though the tacos could have included more shrimp then they did. The service was just okay. The restaurant itself is nice, but not the quiet relaxing place it looks like on their website. It's just another surf themed style restaurant, without all the gaudy decorations.
