When we planned our trip to Destin, in our research this was one of the restaurants that caught our eye. It looked like a nice, relaxing, elevated restaurant we could relax at after a day of excursions. It really wasn't that. After spending most of our days eating at the themed surf restaurants that decorate with shark heads, surfboards and tiki lights. We had hoped this would be a change, it's really not. It may not be grossly decorated with those tiki-style items, but most certainly is that same type of restaurant. It's not elegant, it's not elevated and its most certainly, not relaxing. The food was very good, the service from our waitress, Savannah was mediocre. She seemed bored or maybe having a bad night and was doing her best to cover it with a smile. We ate up at the skybar which does have a very lovely view. The high-top table and chairs are uncomfortable. My wife and I had to come off the chairs to stand next to the table for a few moments because the chairs were so uncomfortable. As far as their food goes, I had the shrimp tacos. They were made with very fresh tasting ingredients and the shrimp wasdelicious. At least the 2 pieces per taco they came with. Most of what was in the taco was just the filling. $22.00 for two tacos I expected more shrimp. My wife's Grouper Moreno and the conch fritter appetizer were both delicious. Dessert was the salted caramel cheesecake which was good, but ridiculously sweet (as you'd expect it to be) Overall, the food was very good though the tacos could have included more shrimp then they did. The service was just okay. The restaurant itself is nice, but not the quiet relaxing place it looks like on their website. It's just another surf themed style restaurant, without all the gaudy decorations. read more

If you are looking for a place that has decent food and drinks with live music and great views, definitely check out SkyBar. It is somewhat ducked away amongst other businesses. Also there is parking available but the spaces are pretty tight closer to the bar, so you may want to park up the hill away from the bar if you have a larger vehicle. Now they do have a restaurant downstairs if you don't want to sit at the bar. Even though the bar was packed, customer service was top notch. They also have brunch up until a certain time with unlimited mimosas. The food and drinks were good and we were entertained. We definitely will be back to visit again. read more

We went to The Edge on a Friday night without a reservation, during dinner time. We were able to sit at the bar without a wait and received full dinner service. Cooper was our bartender and she was great! She made the drinks perfectly and we could definitely tell there was alcohol in our drinks. I ordered the pasta with seafood. Going to be honest, it needed more flavor. It was incredibly bland but the shrimp and scallops were good perfectly. The star of the show was the whole fried snapper! No flavor was lacking and I should've gotten that. Overall, 4 out of 5! Service was great, ambiance was upbeat and everyone seemed to be happy to be working. Def will go again! read more

Ambiance is fabulous. Service and food was lacking. Prices were good but service kind of ruined it. I normally love calalamari app but it was over fried and had a sour taste and so did the red sauce served with it. I wanted tarter to counteract the sour flavor but it took 15 minutes to catch the server and it was cold by then. Went back a few days later and said 3x I wanted my salad before my tacos and Mac and cheese. She brought everything at once. I never got my side of ranch and she brought the salt my husband asked for after we were done eating. Music was good. Probably skip the food and just go for drinks and view. read more

For the patio area you need a reservation so be sure to make one if you want to sit with a beach view. We didn't have one so just saw in the restaurant which is open air. We had calamari and baked oysters to start. Both were amazing. Unfortunately, for my mahi mahi tacos I ordered the fish they served me was spoiled. They did take it off the bill and replace it with a different item but still left a bad taste in my mouth (literally). I opted for the chicken after that which was okay but not what I wanted when coming to a seafood place. Service was not the best. I was brought a salad with no dressing, a kid's meal with no dipping sauce, and had to ask for a refill multiple times because our waitress was too busy having conversations and giggling with other staff members. We had group dinner here. 18 people on a quiet rainy cold January Tuesday. We had a great time with fantastic service. The food top to bottom was outstanding. Apps were all good. Oysters and other shellfish were top notch. I had the grouper demonte. It came with a butter sauce, fried Brussels sprouts and garlic mashed. Excellent. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the FOOD was so fresh . At least the seafood was . My ahi wonton tacos were the BEST I have had in a while. So much flavor ! My friend had the Mahi tacos that I didn't get a photo of but she raved about how amazing those were. Unfortunately my other friend was not too fond of the seafood boil. Skybar at Edge offers some of the best views in Destin. You get great views of the harbor. They have multiple levels and a large dining area. They offer live entertainment most evenings. They also have great food. We got the whole fish and it can be shared between two people. Can't recommend this spot enough great food, views, and service. read more

There were no complaints with our meal here. Service was a bit slow but it was a holiday so some leeway is to be given there. We tried some cocktails, old fashioned and strawberry fields. They were good, but a true old fashioned isn't loaded with ice it's a single cube. Always a a downer when it's made with more than a single cube. We tried the ribeye, filet, crab boil, grouper Moreno, smoked fish dip, coconut shrimp kids cheeseburger, chocolate pie and key lime pie. All the dishes were delicious definitely recommend the Brussels as the accompanying side. Every one cleared their plates. Great ambiance too. Just eat here. read more

Food was incredible! We were looking for crab or a seafood boil, and this was surprisingly one of the few places in the near area that had crab. Very good price for the crab boil too! $44 for one pound of crab legs, half a cob of corn, two potatoes, and a piece of hot sausage. Great seasoning on top of it all too! Just two of us walked in and the lady at the front told us maybe an hour and a half wait for downstairs, but upstairs was a seat yourself situation. We walked up the steps and there was one two-person table right there so it worked out perfectly. The girls at the bar provided excellent service. I think there was a total of 3-4 girls that checked in on us throughout the night. We put our order in with our main waitress then another girl came by to ask if I needed a refill and she got me that along with a cup of gumbo from downstairs. The gumbo was the best I ever had. It came with about 10 crackers, had chunks of fish and duck in it as well. The view was awesome, got to watch boat go in and out of the harbor. We also enjoyed people watching everyone at the packed upstairs bar. It was a great night. Our total came to around $120 after two orders of crab boils, a cup of gumbo, and 3-4 Millers. Service was excellent. Left $150 total since we had a few waitresses that took good care of us. read more

Best mojito I have ever had! Such a gorgeous view and a fun relaxing atmosphere. The ceviche was good, but the shrimp were over cooked. I loved the mango salsa, but the chips were also soggy. Would not recommend this restaurant. Staff were fine and views were awesome. But the drinks and food weren't great. Ordered the calamari which came out cold with watered down tomato sauce for dipping. Not to mention most of the calamari was fried banana peppers. The chopped salad was okay, with watered down dresssing, honestly something you could get at home. Arrived for a scheduled fireworks dinner reservation of 8pm, didn't seat until after they ended. The front hostess with blonde hair has very little idea what she's talking about. She said our table was ready twice, it wasn't. She said fireworks started af 9, they don't. We sat, the waitress was nice but our appetizers came out after food. Food was also just okay. I surprised my Best Friend / Beautiful Bride yesterday by taking her and her favorite cousin to the Skybar on her "last non- Medicare" birthday. We drove over an hour to get to the Skybar because one of her favorite local bands was also playing there that afternoon = Goodbye August. We had a fantastic time due to (a) the food and drinks are delicious = we had the Seafood Tower, PARROT BAY COCONUT SHRIMP , and tasty Bloody Marys, (b) the 2nd floor outdoor seating provided amazing views and we even got to see about a dozen dolphins swimming very close by, and (c) our server Tabitha was/is AWESOME- - she was attentive without being overbearing, extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and has an incredible personality that my Lady really enjoyed ... we look forward to coming back here many more times during 2026, OOh Rah! read more

We sat up top at the SkyBar since the main dining area is reservation only during certain times. The view was absolutely gorgeous and the staff are very helpful! We ordered the gumbo to start and it was so flavorful and delicious. I ordered the shrimp and grits as they had been recommended and my husband has the Mahi tacos. Both entrees were delicious and the prices were very good. This wasn't the most expensive dinner we had this trip but it was by far the best and most scenic! read more

Fun bar with an awesome view and live music. Server was amazing. She was very attentive despite it being so busy and loud. We got us a table right by the band it was really loud. Unable to hold a conversation. Drinks were delicious. Conk fritter was a hit with my peers, it just wasn't my preference, just a little chewy for my taste. For dinner we shared Rockefeller oysters, mussels, and the grouper. I had never had grouper before but I would HIGHLY recommend it. It was delicious. So soft and flaky. Great unique & handcrafted seafood dishes. We loved the raw oysters, smoky Mahi Mahi Dip and Ahi Tuna tacos. They were amazing! We really enjoyed a few hours there as the view and weather were amazing on 6/28. As a bonus, the live music really added to the whole experience. Our waiter was really friendly, great vibe there.
