The drive time is absolutely ABYSMAL. I arrived in the drive thru at 12:18 I did not leave that place until 1:20. There is 0 since of urgency. The workers are just in there moving at a leisurely pace CONSTANTLY. Does this place even have a manager?? I would be genuinely humiliated if I was the owner or GM. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I could've gone into longhorns steakhouse, been seated, served, and out the door in half the time it takes to get a meal here. I don't see how this place is still open for business. I am pleased Daphne has a Whataburger . The only burger I like to eat occasionally. As Texans we were disappointed about the lack of choices until this location opened. The favorite burger of Texas . Always excellent. I am extremely sensitive to chemicals in foods . I don't normally frequent restaurants of any type . I tolerate Whataburger welll for my occasional treat . I don't like thick burgers so these are perfect. Their chicken is good also. I feel more at home with Whataburger. read more

Tip to visitors, go inside...those cashiers were standing around with nothing to do. Tip to the owner, learn from Chic-fil-A. Worst cashier we experienced just right now, she seems like not happy about her job. Just stopped by there on our way home from Florida. The moment I ordered the cashier gave us an attitude, I ordered salad and while ordering something else she said "dressing, dressing, dressing" in a very rude way. I said Italian dressing pls. Then she put thousand island and I said to her Italian dressing, then she said they know what that will be. We got our order. Didn't give us any utensils for my salad. Went there asked for a utensils and she was rude again. Then I am about to eat my salad and found out she didn't give me any dressing for my salad. To the point I didn't go back anymore to her and asked because is so rude. Just decided to not eat my salad. So sad that people act like that at work, I know work situation is so stressful and maybe her life is stressful. But don't forget that the people you're encountering might be having a bad day too. This is the worst Whataburger I have ever been to. We had to wait an hour for our food because they were having to make more biscuits. They pull us to the side while several people that were behind us get their food and leave. We go back again to give them another chance and they messed up our order. The cashier was extremely rude and treated us like crap. I will never go back to this Whataburger again! If you want Whataburger just go across the bay or to Pensacola. Spur of the moment for this lunch choice. Hatch Chile burger was good. Double jr cheese burger was cold. Bun not soft, cheese not melted. Even cold flavor was good. Fries and onion rings so-so. Hate to say quality was low because of being busy. KUDOS that they did have staff out there on the pavement trying to keep things moving. On a chilly rainy day in the Florida panhandle , Taking orders and payment to keep line moving and down food staff let cold food out. Kudos they carried our food to a second line The second order line was blocked by vehicles and staff didn't help with that. However when we were able to get into the second order station it seemed to move slower than primary. Was difficult to understand the person taking our order. Was Sunday nov 29 at noonish. Very busy. My husband and I like to go out for a burger every now and again. Whataburger is usually a good place to enjoy a burger. This location is convenient for us but the management is not doing the best job here at this location. The food has been ok, not great. Last night, we dined in and the lobby was fairly clean this time. I had to use the restroom and I was not pleased with the facility. One stall was clocked up, it was not very clean, and one paper towel holder was left open and empty. The other paper towel holder was also open but at least it had a roll of paper towels but you had unroll it yourself because the holder did not work. In the midst of Covid, restrooms should be more clean and functional! read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. This location is by far the worst fast food drive-thru in South Alabama. Every time I've been there I've had to wait at least 30 minutes--5 minutes at the intercom after placing my order. During my last visit I had already waited at least 15 minutes to place my order and another 5 at the intercom after placing my order. The order taker was very rude and blamed the wait on lack of employees. (I have a feeling any good employee that had worked there had quit, leaving the bad apples.) Once I got past the intercom I would have had to wait another 10 minutes or longer to get my food. By then the burger would have been cold, the bun soggy, the fries cold, and the milk shake warm milk. So I got out of line leaving my order for them to "eat". If the Malbis location of Whataburger can't improve soon, fire the current employees, hire more employees, or shut it down! read more

This is the absolute worst Whataburger I have ever been too. & mind you! I'm from TEXAS!! & I thought south padre island was bad. What should have been a 30 min stop to eat real quick. Turned into an almost 2 hour stop!!! Waiting 30 mins for our order. Had to send my salad back because they didn't grill the onions or jalapeños. & yes it was on the receipt. Had to send the fries back also because they definitely were old. Asked for fresh fries & they came back. 100% not fresh. Plus when the salad came back there were very little jalapeños which were not grilled AGAIN & I Thats because I paid for 2x jalapeños so that they could add twice as much. I was fed up so I went up & paid for 2x MORE JALAPEÑOS PLUS MEDIUM fries just so that I can ask for them to be fresh. Which also took another 20-30 mins to come out. An hour later I was finally able to eat. After eating my husband ordered a chocolate milkshake that took literally 30 mins to come out. 2hours this stop wasted us. Where do I start, well 2 weeks ago I had the day off so I decided to get some breakfast. Since it was last minute I didn't order off my app, just got into the drive through line. After waiting in the line for 10 minutes, the line from hell you can't get out of, I finally got to order. That's was just the start of an additional 20 minute wait and 2 tries at getting my order right and giving me a crappy coupon. If I had to be at work by a certain time it would had been a bad day, I felt sorry for everyone left in line. Now as for today 12/11/20, ordered on my app because I am able to walk in and get my food without sitting in the from drive through from hell, get out of my truck and the door was locked. An employee was standing there and opened the door telling me the inside was closed. I showed him I had ordered for takeout and I wasn't going to wait in the drive through, a manager Gus came over and said I had to go through the line, I told him I wasn't, this was a crock of Shit. He finally told me to hold on after asking his name. He came to the door with my order and I left. Whataburger is an every morning stop for me and I will not stop at the Spanish Fort location for breakfast again. I will just wait until my favorite Chickasaw location opens back up for my morning stop. Just pathetic. read more

To start off... The store was out of shake mix. Not a huge deal but annoying. Only a couple people in front of us which was nice. Still took 14 minutes to get a burger, fries and three biscuit sandwiches. Line is now out the door with like 20 people waiting for food. I get the covid nonsense but that is no longer an excuse for not getting your operation together - it should not be OMG how do we handle this after over a year of it being an issue - and 8 months for this particular store. Food came out and the person who brought it was super annoyed in her body language that we asked for extra ketchup... And do you think if you have 25 cars in the drive through and people walking away from the door because of the line your folks would put on a little hustle? NOT HERE! It's like a sloth migration with someone yelling from inside the kitchen loud enough to be heard at the far end of the dining room. Oh, by the way, you should either be able to handle a drive through and inside dining or not open one or the other. My time and money is just as important as someone's in a car... Why does all the food go out the window at a ration of about 8:1 to inside orders being fulfilled? Terrible service, terrible attitudes, ok food and not worth the frustration! To be sure, there is no issue with the food. However, if you want to use their "rewards program", forget it. Utterly sux. I've had nothing but issues with it since the place first opened in Daphne. Using their mobile app to "add a visit" is a complete fail, on several occasions. My most recent attempt to "add a visit" was a third fail on this front. Frustrated, I used the feedback feature within the app, and went in to detail about the situation and history. What did I get, a dumb, useless canned response from their "customer engagement" team or whatever unoriginal label they've given themselves. I will no longer do business here under any circumstances. If this is the best they can do, it speaks to their integrity in my opinion, regardless of the food quality. I will make my way just up the street to the newly opened Freddy's which is just as good or better and I won't waste time with any fake "rewards programs". Such a joke. read more
