This is the coffee bar inside Whole Foods (it took me a minute to figure it out but WFM = Whole Foods Market). Anyway, I've only had one espresso drink here and it was very average, probably Starbucks-grade, so if that's your jam, you might like the coffee here. But there's definitely no one here curling a mustache and deconstructing the composition of crema.
I'm not too sure why anyone would come here for coffee, aside from maybe they were getting groceries in the morning and wanted to buy coffee in the grocery store? Honestly I'd just go down the street to Jones (or even the aforementioned Starbucks).
But the real reason I'm even leaving this review is the 75-cent upcharge on non-dairy milk. What???? I know this is common practice, but it's Whole Foods... the whole ethos is eating well, nurturing ourselves and the planet, etc etc. Why then does Jeff Bezos need my 75 cents when I chose oat milk in place of cow's milk? Have they seen how milk cows are treated? And what if I'm lactose intolerant? What a silly, silly upcharge. You can do better Whole Foods. read more
