I did didn't know a storage facility could be amazing, but this one is fantastic! Clean, accessible and actually lovely facility. The service is great and everything is indoors, well lit, climate controlled, and safe. My movers only had to carry my items a few feet to access my unit, and staff helped me pick the proper size. Natalie to the rescue at Westy........................... Have to say Arlene and Natalie are professional, efficient, and helpful every time I come in. Natalie this week came to the rescue. Had boxes of my mom's stuff in the car and found out I did not have the right key. Add another 50 miles and 90 minutes to my travels to get the key or cut the lock. Well Natalie got me a new lock, cut off the old one, charged the $13 new lock to my account with just a quick verbal approval from me. 5 minutes tops! Easy as could be. Thank you Natalie! Hi, I have used Westy Storage all over the county. All of them have been way above my expectations. I had the pleasure of using the facility in White Plains for the past 4 months. From the moment I waked in we were welcomed immediately. The gentleman that helped my self and my brother in law took Us for a tour so we could see the units and make a proper Decision. Immaculate facility, well lit, intelligently designed, and staffed by extremely nice people. Seems ridiculous that I would get a storage space so far from New York, but I was skeeved out by Manhattan facilities. They were dungeonlike and I imagined rats and mildew from most of them. This place is so clean that I expected to encounter robotic cleaners at every turn. Also, they offered to drive my stuff up from NYC (but they won't load or unload), as well as first month free rent. I can't remember how their prices stacked up in comparison to others, but they were probably the same or lower. And they are IMMACULATE. But it is faaaaaar from Manhattan; and it's a longish walk from the Metro North station. If you have things you really care about and won't be checking on for years, stash it here. read more

Is it a hotel or a storage facility? This Westy Self Storage is like walking into a hotel lobby! Onto some of the staff....Scott is understanding of your needs, explains in detail the "rules" of storing your items in their facility, types of payments they take, hours you can get into the building, etc. You pick your own 6 digit pin that you must use to get into the building/onto the premises. They even have a 12ft truck you may use to drive within a 40 mile distance without charging you. That is a huge perk folks! Natalie is another front desk gal. She made sure when I borrowed the truck I had extra blankets and dollies in the truck. Lastly, when shopping around for a climate controlled storage facility the White Plains Westy's has the best pricing in the area. read more

When I was first looking for a storage unit, I shopped around a bunch. When I spoke with Chris at Westy, he went out of his way to help me secure transportation for my stuff to their facility. Stupidly... I still ended up going with a competitor because it was $20 cheaper per month. When I got to the competitor's facility, their "5x10" was a "4.5x8.5" and not clean, it was egregious. I called Westy back that evening with my tail between my legs and spoke with Chris who could not be more helpful (again). Him and Doug went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate me when I was really in a bind. Could not be more thankful. They really saved me a lot of aggravation given the situation. read more

They don't have MICE this place is clean and spotless. Such a pleasure storing my stuff here for the past 3 months. They are professional and stand by their product. There was an issue with the moving company they recommended to me, but they quickly and amicably rectified the problem. Like the saying goes... You get what you pay for. I've visited a few storage facilities and this one is at the top of my list in terms of service, management, ,cleanliness and design. It's a real pleasure to walk into this place, and the storage areas are bright, cheery, flawless. Well worth the few dollars more. Only downside is limited access hours, but that's workable. read more

MICE! They have mice! If you don't mind the disgusting idea of mice rummaging through your things, and paying a premium price at the "hotel for storage" this is the place. I was a Westy's customer for almost 4 years at another location and 6 months at this location. Paying an estimated $15,000.00 for storage at their facilities. Never had a rodent problem at the other location, my rent was never late for either room. I was a long term customer. I really wanted to combine my two storage rooms to one. Unfortunately at the other location they did not have the room to accommodate me. They did have a room big enough in white plains and for a little more than I was paying I got an even bigger room than I was originally looking for so I brought things my family was holding for me at their house to my house considering I now had the extra space for it in storage. I hired a mover and loaded up the truck from the other location. When arriving at the wp Westy's the room was not clean and had rodent droppings. The hallways had dust balls not at all up to par with the other location. I addressed the manager and she assured me that it was a problem they had from a woman bringing in food on another floor 8 months prior, it was taken care of and the cleaners just forgot to clean that room. After her assuring me several times and cleaning out the room I unloaded my things. I came back a few days later and more droppings were in the room! So now my house and garage are full of things that were supposed to go to storage and mice were going through my things and my kids things! The owners response (via the manager, they never called me themself) was to move my things to the other location in two separate rooms (the point in moving was to have one room) I was already getting 1 month free at white plains so they said 2 months free to move but then full price for the rooms which in total was $100 more a month than the room in white plains which was already almost $600 a month! Since I am a long term customer I guess the owner thought they would take advantage of the situation to make more money off of me. I said no, it's bad enough I have rodents going through my things because of them, but now ultimately their solution is for me to pay $100 more a month for two separate rooms! After several days they did not budge on their "offer" all the while they were talking to me as if they were doing me this huge favor by offering me a free month. Going on a week of them not doing the right thing which would have been to offer me a comparable room at the other location for the same price, (if the two rooms (which together were the same square footage as my one room) was all they had at least keep the price the same (I wasn't even asking for anything extra)) they then came to me with "options" the same offer as before and they would pay for the move or they would move my things to the c line which was one hallway over as if the mice decided they were only going to stay in the D Line, where my room was at the time! at no point did they say we'll set traps, call the exterminator and take care of the mice (indication that they know they have a problem). I then spent the next week arranging movers (I paid for) and finding another storage facility. I called them on a Tuesday to reserve their truck for the move. The next day (almost three weeks later) miraculously a room smaller than the room I had opened up at the other location at the bargain price after the few months free of $45 MORE a month, then there's the issue of where am I putting the things I moved into my house in anticipation on the bigger room. The manager also then said the problem 8 months ago was in my room. Originally she told me it was another room on another floor! At that point it's three weeks later I spent a whole week making other arrangements for my things where in that Time I received no phone calls from Westy's. My things are now at another facility in a bigger room for less money, a second move that I paid for out of my pocket. When I picked up the truck the same manager who was insulting and rude on the phone mentioned the room at the other location to me again and the free months as if she were dangling a carrot in front of my face. Westy's is overpriced, over rated and the arrogance of management and the owners is unreal. I've paid in total over $15,000 to store my things in this family owned business and never asked for any extras, just something comparable to what I had and they refused to oblige! I'm sick to my stomach. These are my things, my children's clothes and toys, along with Some very expensive items. It's sad and aggravating that this is the way they've decided to run their business. read more
