I called the day before we needed to move it, and got lucky that they had a cancelation and could squeeze us in with 1 days notice. The unit was heavy and awkward and had to go down some steep stairs into a basement. The movers handled the job professionally and got the machine into the basement with no damage to the machine, the house, or themselves. That was quite an accomplishment!!! If I had one concern about All My Sons it's their failure to clearly communicate pricing and liability limitations. I was told that their minimum charge is 2 hours. It's actually 2 hours plus travel time. And, I wasn't told that their liability limitation is 60 cents per pound. That would have come out to $240 for a $1500 appliance -- definitely not enough to replace the appliance if something had happened. I might not have hired All My Sons if I'd seen this. We got lucky.

(tldr: lack of communication, damaged boxes and furniture upon arrival, poor quality of service) In the beginning, Jeff was very attentive and made us feel like "Yes! This is the quality of service we're looking for in a company!" and the quoted price was great. He told us everything we needed to know about our move and we were excited to move forward. (Disclaimer: Low price is because they have other moves on the same truck as yours. We figured it wouldn't be a problem... it was.) But once we had our stuff loaded on to the truck, that's when it went all downhill. First things first, the pick-up movers told us how much we should be tipping them (they said they wanted 20%), which was extremely unprofessional. I don't mind if they had just mentioned that tips are appreciated, but to have the balls to flat out tell me you want 20%? Really? I didn't hear from Jeff for about a week after our initial pick-up, and when he did respond, all he could tell me was that our stuff was still waiting to be put onto the truck and our 6 day delivery window remained the same. He told me he would update with information when he had some. I asked him if it was possible to get a tighter delivery window once the truck was in transit and he informed me that once we got closer to the delivery window he'd have a better estimate of when our stuff should be arriving. (At this point, we were 9 days from the first day of our delivery window and 7 days since pick-up.) Another week goes by without any correspondence from Jeff. I'm starting to get a little anxious because it's 2 days from the first day of our delivery window and we have no idea where our stuff is. So I contact him again asking if he had an update. The first day of the delivery window is pushed back a day. Still very vague. I ask again if he could provided a tighter delivery window since we're working people and need to make arrangements to receive this move if it does come on a work day. He said he'll try his best. So now it's the first day of the delivery window! Hurray! But silence on Jeff's end. At this point, we figured he'd have some sort of idea where the truck is and have an idea of when the truck should be arriving to us. I email Jeff and no response. I get that it's a Saturday, but if client is paying thousands of dollars to use your services, just a quick acknowledgement would be appreciated. We get a call later that day from the driver saying he's in the area and will delivery the following day or the next, depending on the other deliveries. Okay, great! But why wasn't Jeff able to provide that information to us? The driver told us that they're not actually a part of Movage and they're hired to do jobs within Movage (which was one of the first questions I asked because I wanted to make sure that the move wasn't being contracted out to third parties), so the drivers themselves weren't even in touch with Movage at all. And then our stuff finally arrives... boxes were damaged, wet, opened, our couch was soaked on one side... I'll let the pictures do the talking. The response we get after we express our extreme disappointment is just a very textbook: "I apologize for any inconvenience. This is not the typical feed back we receive from our customers. I will help you as much as possible as I have tried to do from the first time we spoke. I will attach a claims form to this email. Please fill it out at your earliest convenience so we can start a claim process for you. Thank you." If you're looking to do a long distance move, go with Mayflower. We deeply regret not choosing to go with them in the first place.

It was a long drive for them, and unfortunately, they did not arrive until 5 PM because one of the trucks broke down. What luck! When they finally arrived they were great, considering it was pitch black outside. Everything was moved in and set up promptly. From time to time with no proper notice, the price of my unit would jump up tremendously. When I would call to inquire as to why, "that's just the way it worked there," I was told. The price became so high ($371 a month for a 10 X 10 unit) I had no choice but to leave - which cost me more unnecessary money. I had to rent a truck and hire movers to help move me to another storage facility, not too far from this one to get the same size unit for $169 a month - that's $200 less!!! You would think someone which a sound business mind would make sure their rates were competitive and that they would want to retain good tenants - but not here. Greed reigns over integrity and good business practices here. All to say I'm happily out of there but the BS has t stopped. As of recently my phone has been blowing up from a collection agency claiming that I owe this place money, when everything has been squared away and settled. My entire life I've maintained perfect credit and I'll be damned if this place of business that lacks basic integrity is going to screw that up for me over a false claim. I've tried to get ahold of management multiple times - have been told that 'Greg' would get back to me to address this issue and weeks later I'm still waiting for that call. I have no choice but to leave this feedback that I've been trying to refrain from doing but you have to skip this place. Trust me. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this place!

He wrapped it in plastic, loaded it into a clean van, & not only did he drop it off but he delivered my old sofa to a friend. All for the price of one trip to my house. He was HALF the cost of anyone else. Restoration Hardware uses a team that charges SO much more. He was super easy to communicate with via text, with a copy of the conversation in the Yelp app. My friend asked me how I could trust someone randomly to pick up and deliver my couch, but I did & it really worked out. I will absolutely use his services again. He is a gem!!!!!
