They went from 3000 square feet to a 10x10 storage unit and Tim's guys got the job done painlessly. My parents were extremely overwhelmed by the move (I mean, my 6th grade art project was still floating around in the attic) but the move itself was the easiest thing they had to do throughout the whole downsizing process. Tim's guys even dismantled their solid mahogany bedroom set, drove it to my brother's house, and reassembled it there for him. Their fee was extremely reasonable and they got the job done with time to spare which was so appreciated because it also happened to be the day of the first December snow storm! Phew! I'll also add that my parents are in Rockland so although they are in Westchester there were no issues in services in another county. My sister also used Tim for her smaller move within Tuckahoe last year and was very pleased. It's such a relief to find a reasonable and trustworthy mover these days!

We were stressed about the move but it went so smooth, and they made it so easy, that we had nothing to worry about. We had them pack all of our belongings, best choice we ever made. It would have taken us days to do it ourselves and things would have broken along the way. They did it quickly and securely and it went off without any incidents. This was my first time hiring movers and J & G Moving exceeded my expectations! The move went so…read moresmoothly that I highly recommend them. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.

Maria is a very experienced, intelligent, friendly and resourceful person to work with. Maria works with the client's wishes and understands their hesitance about parting with certain items. She doesn't judge, only pleasantly offers suggestions which the client can consider. I find that her suggestions are often better than the ideas I had, however, which got me into this big clutter situation to begin with... so I'd trust her:) Maria's work is also a great value for the price! Maria leaves your space much more open, clearer, cleaner, and much more organized than when she first gets there. She works with great energy, enthusiasm and passion for helping to create a positive, more usable and more welcoming environment for her client to live in...and that also brings the client mental peace and a newfound hopefulness about their space and their life.
