We hired Blue Movers for a move within Manhattan. Jose and his team (he was joined by David and Eddie) did a superb job for us. I cannot say enough good things about this hardworking crew. They worked efficiently and quickly. We were amazed by the speed of the disassembly and reassembly of the furniture. They handled all the belongings with great care. In the last 4 years we have needed a moving service to prepare for the sale of our Brooklyn condo, starting with the staging and eliminating furniture, then the actual sale and move out of the condo. We downsized to a one bedroom in Fort Green and the rest of the furniture was moved up to Hudson Valley. Then, most recently we moved our office equipment to storage, also upstate. In total there have been 5 occasions that we needed a moving company that was trustworthy, provided competitive rates, arrived on time, work diligently, and completed the move within several very tight time frames of elevator availability. Most importantly, we needed our possessions to be treated with professional and caring knowledge, making sure they were secure and protected. Blue Moving came through with 5 stars each time!!! In the 5 different moves, we had some of the same crew, which was very reassuring; and each time we received the same professional care as the time before. And Nedi and his crew were simply superb! They hustled all day, were incredibly careful with our furniture and followed all Covid safety protocols. my experience with blue moving was surprising , first my moving date was set for 6/20/25 -but they waited for the check first than changed my moving date to 6/21/25! they camed early (i had packed my own furniture) after it took days waiting for my boxes, they scratch both sides of my bed, they scratch my wooden floors- they tryed to keep my 2 cases of bottles water, i still can't find my tray that goes on my livingroom table- i gave them a air conditioner and microwave (box of shoes) evertime the worker put down a box, he had to run to the bathroom ! they kept asking me for 20% tip and the job wasn't done! this was my first time dealing with a moving company, next time im going to used somebody else, this was a fucked up experience! and they took back my boxes that i didn't used, with out my permission! read more

I've used them to move my stuff cross country *twice* (NJ to CA). I can't believe I haven't put in a review yet. First move from NJ to CA was early pandemic in June 2020. They were very professional and careful with pandemic-era requirements. Very thorough in packing, labeling, and shipping. Everything arrived on time and not a single thing was lost or broken. 10/10 stars! When I was trying to move back from CA to NJ in 2022, they were my first phone call. Unfortunately they couldn't do a move in that direction, but I would've used their services without shopping around. Finally, this move in August 2023, we did another NJ to CA (hopefully our last cross country). Their team was super professional, I had a few boxes that I hadn't packed and they packed everything nicely, very polite and friendly. We had a great conversation as well. The whole experience was made easy and nerve-free by their flexibility. When they arrived, I ended up changing a few things with the quantity of items and they were very accommodating - no surprise fees/charges. Everything arrived in perfect condition, nothing missing, nothing broken. Staff that brought the items to my home in CA was different from the staff who picked up in NJ - equally friendly and professional. 100% would recommend especially for cross country moves. read more

I was intially very pleased with this company until the move was complete. Here are my reasons why I was happy and why I was disappointed: Happy: 1) I spoke to Edward who did a video call and took inventory of all the items to be packed and delivered. 2) Edward was very professional and was in communication with me throughout the process. 3) Edward gave me a great price Disappointed: 1) The packers were guided as to what to pack and what not to pack and they did not follow directions 2) The packers called Edward and informed him of all these extra boxes that were required which wasn't true. Once we moved and unpacked the boxes (days later) we found wardrobe boxes with dirty cat litter -with cat poop, empty boxes, empty paper towel rolls, dirty napkins, and literally garbage that we tolddddd the packers were GARBAGE) 3) Some of our items are missing. 4) Boxes were labeled but not placed in the appropriate rooms 5) We paid extra ($500+) to have a bedroom set moved to my in-laws but they left the bedside table in our small room. 6) They demanded a 15% tip from my mother in law after the move- tip cannot be DEMANDED and after seeing how many boxes of garbage they packed, we are glad we didn't. We have so far thrown out 6 wardrobe boxes of garbage. We are missing items. We had to move items from the basement to the 2nd floor. It was chaotic. I don't recommend these packers/movers. Edward was great but I'm not sure if he's aware of how horrible the workers are. read more

Probably the best move in my history of a dozen moves over last 30 yrs. Came COVID precautions prepared despite our +vaccination status, they continued to wear the masks. Smart. Now for the real test. They engineered the move down multiple levels of stairs with a turn and landings. In the end only one minor and quickly repairable ding to a corner of a piece of furniture. All appliances and big pieces were thickly cardboarded at the bottom 1/3, across all glass and padded, taped and/or plastic wrapped. Pieces too bulky were disassembled and returned to pre-move status on completion such as dining tables, chests of draws, bureau's, etc. Care was exercised in the protection and actual lifting and moving. And still they managed to move us into the next residence in swift fashion. Only criticism is with the lack of a commercial hand carts that has stair bumper rollers on it which would have reduced the need for two person carries down the stairs. A few of them would have expedited the move some. Highly recommended and a shout out to the professionals involved: Their lead-Nurbek and two moving compatriots, Sergio, the most positive moving person ever and Washington, a quiet and efficient laborer. read more

I searched and searched for a moving company after having a bad experience a long time ago with another moving company- I took a chance with Blue Moving and booked them (through an app/wesbite called Moved) for a cross country full service move from NY to San Francisco which included Blue providing all the boxes/materials, packing all of my belongings, and delivering them to my new home in SF. Moved (the app/website) provided excellent customer service and consistent communication, while Blue executed the packing and transporting of the belongings. The owners of Blue Moving are very professional and accommodating. Mitka did a video walkthrough of my one bedroom apartment to inventory how many boxes and materials/resources are needed. The team of 4 people (including Eddy, who was great!) arrived and were all very prepared and efficient in packing. They were able to expertly park the truck in the space I had reserved for them on a relatively narrow street in Park Slope. Since this was a cross country move, there was another group/team from Blue that did the drop off at the destination in SF. At drop off, the SF Blue Moving team did an equally amazing job, especially in protecting my entry way from accidental dings and damage while moving boxes and large furniture inside the main and second floor of the home. There was a slight hiccup upon unpacking in SF, where I quickly saw that we had few missing items like tv remote and connector cables. However, after contacting Blue and Moved (the app/website) to let them know what was missing, they were very responsive and replaced the tv remote/cables immediately. Great work ethic! I used Blue move two times. First time from NYC to Grafton, MA, and second time from Grafton, MA to Richmond, VA. I was very happy for the first time and decided to hire them for the second time. But the second time they sent 3 crews. Among them, one was an experienced person but the rest of the two crews were very new and had no experience in moving. They didn't pack my stuff well, didn't carry the piano to the expected floor, and made scratches on the walls. After several communications, blue move agreed to repair the damage instead of painting the entire wall which created a remarkable stain on the wall. My recommendation, not to hire them. read more
