This review is for the sales side. Shopping for a car is never stress free and there is always the obligatory bait and switch every dealer tries to nail you with. This one is no different on that front. They do tend to have better overall prices on their new Kia's than other local dealers so I still favor them for that reason. Kia used to be the car you bought if you just needed a cheap beater. They have come a long way now and you can purchase something basic and reliable, a Niro with better overall mileage than the Prius, even if you're other half is a lead foot, or a decked out SUV with heated/cooled leather seats and warmed steering wheel. We already had one Kia in the household we are impressed with and have found very reliable so we decided to purchase the Niro. We ended up getting our Niro at this dealer, despite the usual games because they had the blue mister lead foot wanted and the manager did end up honoring what he said he would, after we adamantly stated we would walk otherwise. I wish we didn't have to go through these hoops and nonsense but they all do this. Despite the sales manager ridiculousness, I was happy with our sales person. She was genuine, thoughtful and kind. If Darshay is still there, you want to work with her. She makes the reindeer games a tad less nasty. read more

This is to inform car buyers to stay away from Weston Kia of Weston Kia. Day one purchased vehicle in good faith. Drove vehicle and made a few stops. Then when I tried to access the Ford Focus 2012, the battery was completely covered. How can you check a vehicle and not see this! Dead as a door nail. Fortunately, a friend worked on it over an hour. It finally started. I was told to drive back for day two to replace battery. Registered 12 amps when it should have been 13 amps. They did Not replace it whatsoever. Then drove away. That night the alarm failed to work. I was told to bring it back on Tuesday. I told them I was done and wanted my original vehicle back. Then I said I should report this as the Lemon Law. They said it was only good on new cars not used cars. I tried to talk to Terri Brewer the Customer Relations manager. I was told she is no longer employed there!!! I spoke on Monday to Josh Weston, the grandsons, who promised to fix the chipped paint and new battery on the car, then take it to Ford to fix the alarm! Really? I was in tears numerous times. I worked for Verizon over 26 years. If I ever treated a customer this way, I would be out if a job! I drove out there and my car is on the lot. Now tomorrow, and was promised a fill up if the deal fell apart. Also, I explained that my caddy runs on premium gas. If they use a lower grade of fuel, the car will be worth nothing. Let it not be this way I pray. I am retired on a fixed income and a senior citizen too. No one needs this stress in their lives. I will post the outcome tomorrow. Well not a great experience. I am still having to make payments on my trade in after having had the new car for almost two weeks. When I talked to Weston kia finance dept the person I talked to said she would call the lender, then she called me back and said she had to leave voicemail. She said I should call the lender that my trade in was financed thru and talk to them about getting an extension as Weston cant pay off my old loan until the new loan was paid for by the lender.so now I an out an additional payment and not only that each additional day the old loan is not paid off costs me more interest. If you look at my other reviews I've been guilty of only rating my bad experiences with car dealerships; I want to change that with this review. I went into Weston Kia with my wife following a very bad experience on 122nd, (that review will follow). We had been looking for a newer SUV for my wife and her commute to PDX each day. We wanted something newer, but without paying all that money that disappears as soon as you leave the lot when buying new. We did a lot of research; checked several different mid and compact sized vehicles. Knowing the Weston reputation for being fair and honest people we decided to stop at Tonkin and look at three of the 5 varied interest rigs prior to heading out there. We saw Toyota, Honda and Mazda... all three were at one location, two lots, Tonkin Mazda and Toyota. After a less than positive experience there we drove out east to Weston Kia and talked with Mike. Mike was energetic and helpful. He sought us out as we walked around the new cars, (something we usually don't appreciate, but Mike did it casually). After explaining what we were looking for Mike took us directly to a used 2013 Kia Sorento. He knew all about the model and did what he could to inform us on this particular vehicle. Mike did well with his intro, but kept his distance and we found ourselves in at his desk after asking to take a moment outside. Without a lot of fanfare and to get to the point Mike asked us what we thought of the Kia and our thoughts on what we wanted to spend. I told him what I knew about KBB pricing and he literally pulled up that same website to confirm what I'd found. Mike came back to me with a hard copy of the KBB information and a number that represented what Weston thought the vehicle was worth. Then, Mike did what was most impressive.. without any pushy sales tactics he flat out asked me what I wanted to pay for the car. I gave him my figure, ( a very low, but fair amount that matched what KBB said was the actual fair market value); he excused himself and then returned to shake my hand.... we had a deal.. that fast and on a used car. Mike had the car immediately detailed and finished sending us off to the finance guy. In no time we were signing forms and walked away with exactly what we had agreed to. I was and am still so impressed with this... even the finance guy was very pleasant and positive. Mike contacted us within three days to see if we were happy and remind us of the free oil change; two days later we received a written reminder of that free service. I have to say this was the single best used car buying experience in all my years of buying them and I've even switched over to Weston to take over servicing my other new GM car after a bad experience elsewhere. After three separate visits to the service center I couldn't be happier with how they treat me and the no-surprise rates for my repairs, (thank you Brian Raymond). I took my 2012 Kia Optima in to have a trunk lock that was malfunctioning looked at. They told me that they would not touch it because I installed an aftermarket alarm. I went looking for my first brand new car and I was nervous cause of all the typical car salesperson hoopla you always hear about. I went in with an open mind and not sure what I was looking for and was gonna let the car choose me in a way. I was very privileged and happy that I was referred by a friend to see Diego Williams as a genuine person who could help my new car journey. Just upon meeting Diego I could tell from his demeanor that he was very polite, professional and made me feel like a person not just dollar signs within the first couple minutes. We immediately took a few cars on some test rides. I knew I wanted something brand new (less then 100 miles) however was not sure yet what vehicle type I was really gonna like. After about 6 different models while listening to his expansive knowledge of the vehicles and packages they can include. I decided on a 2016 Optima with the tech package. I was instantly in love with this car. With Only having 30 miles on it and having everything I was looking for we started the next process. I knew it might be a reach to get into this car with my current situation of monthly cash flow and credit. I was completely expecting the usual salesperson back and fourth pitch, upgrades, add on's etc. I was not prepared for how flawless and easy going it turned out to be. Diego and his team went above and beyond to get me into the car without adding extra strain on me. I took my car home that day after everything was said and done. Took a nice long car ride and couldn't stop smiling. This was the best car experience I have ever had the pleasure of going through. Weston Kia is truly a dealership unlike any other. They care about the people, they hire fantastic employee's and build a relationship with its customers that bonds them for many many years to come. I commend Kia for having Diego Williams a part of their team. I can't say I would of seen through the deal if not for such a genuine and compassionate individual. He was not pushy or tried to force anything on me. All he wanted was for me to be happy with my purchase and love the vehicle I picked out that was gonna be my commitment for many years. Diego has followed up with me over the last few months ensuring I was happy and if anything he could do. I highly recommend Diego and the Weston family!! If only all dealerships were as caring as Weston and Salespeople as unique as Diego, this world would look at car dealerships in such a positive experience. I was out of town about 4 hours North in WA this past week for a few days, and ran into car trouble yesterday when I attempted to drive back home. I do all of my car maintenance at Weston Kia and always have outstanding customer service. So of course I called them to see how they could help me out, if at all considering I was so far from home. My best friend Amanda is the warranty clerk and of course is always there to help me in any way she can so I called her first. But from there the service writer Kris went above and beyond for me. He got a tow truck all lined up for me and now they are getting me set up in a rental while my car is in the shop. The tow truck driver's name is Don with Integrity Towing. He drove 3.5hrs to pick me up. He made sure myself and my car got back home safely. He made sure I was comfortable. Their master tech Mike is super knowledgeable and has been very helpful in this process. I always feel welcomed and taken care of whenever I am there. My fiance and I were on a road trip and driving home to Seattle, when my car broke down in Medford. We were able to make it to Gresham and stayed the night since everything was closed on Sunday. We called at 7am on Monday morning and they told me to bring my car in. They were extremely friendly and patient while my fiance explained what was going on with my car. Within 30 minutes, they figured out the problem and told us it would be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The fix ended up only taking a little over an hour and the guy working actually gave us a little bit of a discount. He said he felt really bad for our situation and wanted to help us out. It was pretty pricey ($600), but that's because my injectors, spark plugs, and coils were all bad. The previous night we had tried to fix it with new spark plugs and coils, but apparently we purchased the wrong type. The guy bagged it all up for us so we can try and return it to O'Reillys. They were so friendly there and I am so grateful they were able to fix my car so quickly!! They were able to tell me how to prevent this from happening and they even gave my car two computer updates that the Kia in Everett has never told me about! I would absolutely recommend them again. read more

I replaced my light bulb that wasn't working and it cost me $5 at the auto part store. My light bulb was still not working so I knew I had a connector issue, called these people and was told to bring my car in after 1 pm when lunch is over. Went there at 1 and they said, actually lunch is till 1:30! I stayed around the neighborhood till it was 1:30. At 3:30 finally got my car and they charged me $20 for another light bulb! ( I had just replaced that one for $5) and $55 for connector and with the labor a total of $102! That much to replace a simple bulb and connector! Will never go there again and if you want to not be ripped off, don't go there! I'm so glad I know them now so I never buy a car there either. read more

Don't buy from this dealer. I printed pricing from their ad online at yahoo autos. I was given a "price protection certificate" from yahoo autos. I spoke to the salesman Nick several times about the vehicle after he contacted me via the yahoo auto website. When I arrived to text drive and buy the car for the advertised price of $6000.00, they tried to tell me the price as now $10900.00. When I showed the salesman the price protection cert with the matching vin, he told me he would check with the manager. The sales manager, Larry Poe, came over to talk to me and claimed the price was a mistake and he would not honor the price. He was rude and short. Classic bait and switch. Stand behind your pricing. If you can't claim it was a mistake, find a way to make good on that mistake. "get it in writing" doesn't mean anything with this car dealer. Buy elsewhere. read more

The other reviews definitely represented how I felt about this place: I brought in my recently purchased 2007 Kia Spectra from a different dealer. This was the first oil change since I had the vehicle and my first time having another set of eyes making a quick inspection of it. I was at first anxious to see what recommend maintenance had not been performed. It turned out that this vehicle was actually bought new at Weston Kia and had been serviced there up until being traded in somewhere else. The gentleman that checked in the car was very upfront about seeing all these records, and let me know that all the recommended maintenance was completed well ahead of time (timing belt etc). After their inspection of the vehicle they confirmed everything looked good. I have worked at a dealer before and I am well aware of several "tricks" that are played in some service departments, like insisting air filters are replaced and tire rotations are done if there is even the remote possibility it was not done the last oil change, without really checking to see if these things are necessary before purchase. Dealers lose a lot of money providing oil changes at the prices they do and many times will do whatever possible to counteract this. This makes the integrity that much more valuable and I really appreciated it. I would definitely recommend this dealer, at least for service. When my car needs major repair down the road I definitely know where I will find an honest recommendation and quality repair. Having my car vacuumed and the free car wash coupon didn't hurt either. Had a leak in coming from the driver side front area of my Sorento. I took it into the dealership and Zon Bevens had already told his boss about my vehicle. Jordan in the front office was ready for me and kept informed on what was happening with my vehicle. The team of mechanics found the leak and did another pressure check for good measure and found the radiator leaking. The Kia team got another radiator and installed it all in one day. I started dealing with Weston about 3 years ago, for the first year i was super impressed and felt like i was treated great. Now, i feel the opposite. As far as the sales people go, i wouldn't deal w/ them. Once they have gotten you into a car, you're just another body to them. They will make sure to get you into something nice and then that's it, until the next time they need that extra sale for that month.
