    After searching for and testing many small and mid sized SUVs, the Mazda CX-3 won me over. Sporty, super fun to drive. cushy, comfortable seats, and enough storage for my needs - a deal was finally made! For a person who has only owned 2 seater sports cars, this was a huge decision! But lifestyle now dictates a need for more seats and ability to haul , so here's to the next chapter! Bob greeted me and unlike other sales people, he immediately inquired about my needs, not what car I wanted. Originally there to see a CX-5, he quickly realized it was too much car for me. He introduced me to Erin Perez who took me for a test drive in a CX-3. A real test drive! Not just down 2 blocks and back. We went on the freeway, country roads, up hill, around curves. The more I drove, the more I knew this car met my driving needs. While they didn't negotiate on price since it was supposedly on sale for July 4th, I did get almost what I was asking for my SLK 250. Right? I know what your thinking. It did break my heart seeing my shiny sportscar leave my garage, but the joy of driving the Mazda quickly took over. Like all dealerships they try to get you to pay ridiculous amounts for unnecessary add ons like undercoating. Since I bought a used car - my first - I did purchase the 8 year/100k miles full dealer warranty at half the sale price they offered. Everything is negotiable, my friends! Erin was fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable and not pushy. She knows what she is doing. Did I mention the test drive? While prices are higher than right down the street in Oregon City, I still give 5 stars for overall package and experience.

    Oil change appointment at the time I needed. Excellent service in and out quickly. Got my free car wash to get on my own time. Love Gladstone Mazda!

    Honest, offered me a great deal and didn't push too hard. They really just wanted to get me in the car I was there to buy. Didn't push much for random extras and were transparent with the end price. they showed me the cost and gave me tips to lower certain fees, showed me monthly payments at different rates and loan length. Great experience and I would recommend them over any other Mazda dealer in the area. Couldnt offer me the same trade in value as carmax but understood that I wouldn't leave money on the table and even came and picked me up from carmax after I sold my car.

    Truly, the best car purchase experience I've ever had. Only went to test drive but the car was perfect. Decided to go ahead and purchase. Between Jonathon (Sales Manager) and Joey, our salesman, it went smooth and easy. NO hidden fees, NO tricky deals! Up front. Honest. And no pressure. Even the finance guy was great! Took me through the signing process quickly and easily. You just can't get better than that. They also made sure the car was detailed and full of gas before we left.

"If it's over 20 years old, our computer can't tell us what the problem is". Are you kidding me?!!!!!! I'm so glad to be back and see Mel's Auto Repair is still here! I won't go to any other mechanic again. He fixed my truck and my Van and my Motorcycle and my car and everything I've ever taken to him. I won't ever go anywhere else again!     When the shop was owned by Mel, I could rely on the diagnostics and work. In November, Had an O2…read moresensor that needed to be replaced (to get tags renewed) and caused my check engine light to stay on. Replace the O2 sensor, light stayed on, diagnosed the intake manifold (much more $$), no change to engine light. Replaced another sensor and everything they could think of, $2000 later on my used car. Engine light stayed on. Decided to run it to DEQ FOR ME (and charged me for the time) so ensure I could get new tags, engine light is still on. In March, car was overheating and leaking coolant, and remnants of a broken zip tie was found in the engine. Took it back in, they assured me that it was the thermostat housing and not having to do with previous work, replaced the Thermostat housing (including the thermostat, all in one), car continued to overheat. Brought it back 3 separate times, for a couple days each time. Discharged stating it was fixed for sure (with paperwork stating same) charged $800. Drove for 5mins, car was overheating again. Mgr said that it's OK for temp to fluctuate as long as no RED. Also to continue to drive it, and send them videos of what is happening because they could not replicate. I know from having the car almost overheat before, that ALMOST overheating and OVERHEATING happens very quickly.continue to drive the car, sent several videos of the car getting 75% of the way up on the gauge, several times. Sent messages. Left voicemails. No resolution. Car has never been the same. Engine light still on. $2800 down on the car without any issues actually fixed. One thing to note: diagnostic fee is NOT worked into the labor and is $200 each time you take it in. Non negotiable.

    After looking at a couple different shops based on reviews, we went with Advanced Automotive to do…read morea pre-purchase inspection of a vehicle we were interested in buying (2017 Suburban Premier). After a few hours they called and went over the couple issues they had found and should be replaced which they were very nice and helpful. They found that one control arm had some play in it and should be replaced, the brake vacuum was bad, and one of the window switches auto up didn't work. After taking this to the dealer they fixed the issue and all was well. After driving 100 miles back home we noticed the car didn't handle any bumps or turns very well. We took it to a local mechanic where they found the following wrong with it- Self leveling shock system (air bags and shocks) torn and blown out- $1500 Compressor for shocks burnt out and hasn't been operational for a long time- $1000 Upper passenger control arm causing stability issues and creaking (needs replaced and alignment)- $950 We paid $199 to have them check the important components of a car before buying. Now we are stuck with a bill totaling over $3000 on a vehicle with less than 150 miles from us driving it. Do not take your car here for pre-purchase inspections. These are all common failure points for this vehicle with this many miles as confirmed with multiple other trusted local mechanics in our area. The least they could do is refund this inspection fee to help cover the cost of repairs of a car we wouldn't have bought in the first place if due diligence was done as we trusted it would be.
