Very disappointed with my experience. I took my car in because it was running badly, and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They ended up telling me it was the injectors and I spent around $1,200, only to bring the car home and figure out the actual problem myself in about 5 minutes. Bought my CPO Mazda3 Hatchback here in 2023. They didn't pay my DMV fees for almost three months and kept saying they'd figure things out. Finally got to the DMV myself and paid the fee and told Mazda I was gonna report them to the DMV for holding onto my money and not paying my registration. Then they go and pay to register my car AFTER I paid it so I was sent another set of plates. Manager said they'd return the $250 but guess what? I never saw a lick of that money and every time I call them, there seems to be a new manager who doesn't know what's happening and I get the runaround again. I even told the last person I spoke to I'd settle for a set of all-weather mats but still nothing. 2 years later I'm still mad. So waste your time here if you want. read more

My 80 year old mom took here car for a diagnostic and it turned out to be a dead battery and the ended up walking away with a $1,000 bill. Charging 279 for a batters and I was told that they had to perform multiple diagnostics. Price gouging and dishonest. I'd be very wary of using this service center. To start, we love this 2020 cx5 Signatrue. Car was purchased and maintained by Mazda of Gladstone, last time was 5/7/2024 with 24,902 miles. We bought it 3/4/2026 with 26,400 miles. I do my own maintenance and have been for over 40yrs. While changing the oil at 29,757 miles the oil drain plug very hard to get out, not my first Rodeo! The drain plug was installed with an impact wrench and stripped. Called MAZDA OF GLADSTONE , Talked with the service manager and was told that is was not there fault because it had been more the 6-months since the had seen it. She was right, it had been exactly 4,855 miles. The only oil changes ever done were by them, 9 total visits documented by CARFAX. THERE mechanic was the one that caused the issue and I was told to go pound sand. I even ask just give me a new oil pan and I would do the job myself, mostly because I already don't trust there service department to do a simple oil change. There service department is incompetent. If you need an air or cabin filter you might be fine. If they screw up they will not honor there work and find a way to fault you, the owner! Just looked at my post. We've been going to them for regular service/maintenance since purchasing our CX5 here years ago. They've always been a great team but my most recent experience with them really shows how much integrity they have. My car battery was completely dead and, even with a jumpstart, it wouldn't detect my key fob. I had it towed to Tonkin Mazda first because it was closer. They tried to rip me off from the start. They convinced me to replace the battery first. Days later, they insisted that the entire transmission needed to be replaced, which would cost over $6k. I called Gladstone and they were incredulous with Tonkin's recommendation. David was sincere from the start, so neighborly and reassuring. I got their follow up video within half an hour of my car's arrival. As soon as the car had arrived, they had located a blown fuse and got the car running before even bringing it inside the shop. They didn't even charge me for a new fuse. Even after pickup, they were very responsive and helpful for any follow up questions. read more

Sporty, super fun to drive. cushy, comfortable seats, and enough storage for my needs - a deal was finally made! For a person who has only owned 2 seater sports cars, this was a huge decision! Bob greeted me and unlike other sales people, he immediately inquired about my needs, not what car I wanted. Originally there to see a CX-5, he quickly realized it was too much car for me. He introduced me to Erin Perez who took me for a test drive in a CX-3. A real test drive! Not just down 2 blocks and back. We went on the freeway, country roads, up hill, around curves. The more I drove, the more I knew this car met my driving needs. While they didn't negotiate on price since it was supposedly on sale for July 4th, I did get almost what I was asking for my SLK 250. Right? I know what your thinking. It did break my heart seeing my shiny sportscar leave my garage, but the joy of driving the Mazda quickly took over. Like all dealerships they try to get you to pay ridiculous amounts for unnecessary add ons like undercoating. Since I bought a used car - my first - I did purchase the 8 year/100k miles full dealer warranty at half the sale price they offered. Everything is negotiable, my friends! Erin was fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable and not pushy. She knows what she is doing. Did I mention the test drive? While prices are higher than right down the street in Oregon City, I still give 5 stars for overall package and experience. read more

The worst! Bought a new Mazda CX-5 & noticed an irritating rattle in the dash. Took it in under warranty on Feb 12th w 20,637 mi. Tech thought it was in the arm of the windshield but I had noticed in the center of dash over speedometer. Rattle was still there & called to make sure it was still under warranty as we had passed our 3 yr mark on Mar 14th, yes it is...brought it in today and they want $195.just to look for a rattle and if it's not in the place where they had "fixed" a rattle before it wouldn't be covered. Had one dealership closer to me damage the paint on one pre-delivery and refuse to fix it, and another dealership closer to me play endless games on pricing. Mazda Gladstone was the first dealership I found that knew what they were doing, didn't play games, and ultimately got me the car I was looking for. Even went out of their way to help arrange to have it trailered to me so I could get it PPF'd before driving it, since I live a couple of hours away. The salesman SWORE on his life this was the best extended warranty on the market bumper to bumper no questions asked. Well to be fair the headlights are not on the bumper but it covers NOTHING electric or mechanical. Both headlights are going out. A known problem with Mazda. Scam artists for sure. Haven't purchased a vehicle here but I have come for service. They're good about getting you home, if you're local and your car needs to stay for a time. I recently went on a jaunt around town seeking a place to replace my fob battery. Went to AutoZone, they don't do it. They suggested some lightbulb place in Oregon City and all I could think was that it shouldn't be this difficult. Decided to pop into the service center with my two fobs, both had dying batteries. Handed them over to a kind young lady and she took them somewhere, replaced the batteries, and then came back handing them to me. Made a purchase back in December 2023. Saw the car online, went in the next day. I told them I had intentions of buying the vehicle so I brought a check. I was rushed straight to the finance department was told the vehicle was in detailing and I wasn't able to test drive it, but assured me it drives like a dream. Drove it off the lot, heard a funny noise. Thought I was being paranoid, eventually took it in. Ended up needing a whole new rear differential. The car had 30000 miles on it. I was also assured that all the fluids have been recently changed and all other important maintenance things like the transmission flush ect had been done. I also asked about the brakes. All of which was either new or still with a great amount of life in them, so they claimed. I've requested my service records for the vehicle weeks ago so I could see specifically what has and hasn't been done . And have made 2 phone calls over the period of 2 weeks which was supposedly given to a higher up to assist me with the matter both times. I've yet to receive service records or a call back. And now not even 3 months after my purchase I already have to pay more money and do maintenance to a vehicle I just paid a good chunk of money for. My questions had a purpose, and would have made me second guess the purchase had I been able to test drive it or had they been honest about the wear on the brakes and that certain flushes had not been done. As a single mother with no knowledge with how to check these things myself. I relied on the knowledge and honesty of the dealership ....and that proved to be a mistake. I do understand that it is my fault not listening to my gut and should have waited to move forward with the purchase until I have actually seen and drove the car in person. The sales manager Johnathon is rude doesn't follow through with anything. I'm upset because when I bought my 2018 Mazda CX-5 one of the two questions I asked was about apple car play. When asked if my car had it I was told "Yes, Just plug it right in" I didn't have a power cord on me so I didn't do it. Upon realizing that it doesn't have it i've been told it is a $700 upgrade. It should of came with my car, I am not paying for this. I just graduated college and am starting a business. The audacity of these men to be so dismissive and not make a SIMPLE mistake right is insane. These people do not have good business morales at all. You're better off going to any other Mazda dealership it seems. There was so much wrong but the worst experience was the financing. The "systems were down" which meant I had to e-sign, and the monitor "didn't turn around" and so she just "will explain it verbally to you"..... if any of these terms are being used with you RUN. I had agreed to my terms in the lobby with my salesperson and when I went to financing, magically $5800 worth of extras were added to my loan. I specifically requested these to be removed during the initial agreement and so I assumed they were right in the financing process. WRONG. It took me many calls, going in person three times to get them to agree to remove the shitty warranty. They said they would send me the form and never did. Have had to call again and am still waiting. I usually don't leave reviews but this was such a negative experience I feel I have to warn others who may not be experts in the car buying process like myself. read more

Terrible customer service, which ends the moment your purchase is complete. After speaking with two salespersons and a finance person, we were told that we could put a $3,000 payment on our credit card once the 'no payment for ninety days' offer ended. Upon receiving the first notice from Mazda Financial Services, I was then told that this wasn't an option. On multiple occasions, I spoke with management, who promised they would 'call back in twenty minutes'. That never happened. I was then told that I would have an answer by the end of the week. Likewise, that didn't happen. Upon asking to speak with said individual, I was told that both my partner and I misunderstood our conversations during the purchase. There was no accountability for poor communication, poor follow-up, and a lack of professionalism and/or training on behalf of their salespersons and finance personnel. In a field where quality customer service and communication is valued, they were sorely lacking. I will not give them my business, and likewise will discourage my friends and colleagues from doing so. read more
