Steer clear of these PARTS CHANGERS. Took my 2015 GMC with under 70 thousand on the clock to them for a check engine light. 800 dollars later the same check engine light and took it to GMC and they changed the bad sensor for $125 and no diagnosis time because they see it all the time. Gold Screw wanted to change the converters and the injectors. Better to change to someone who knows what they are doing. I have since sold the truck and the new owner has put another 10,000 miles on it with NO PROBLEMS. Steer clear of these rip off artists. Used to be good when I think his dad ran the place. The last time they had my truck for two days and it didn't move as the speedo reading was identical and they said they road tested it----must have been a very short road. read more

These guys seemed like a good bunch, got my diesel truck up and running great.... For about a month, then it broke down again. I followed their instructions at the bottom of the bill they gave me and went somewhere else to someone who had more diesel truck experience. Had to have the same repair done again due to a defective part. I go back to Gold Wrench and we discussed the situation. They reimbursed me 125.00 by check in the mail and that's it! Meanwhile I spent 800.00 in labor again to have another shop fix the exact same issue again. Asked Gold Wrench to split the labor with me since I felt the mechanic should still get paid for his efforts, but they think I should just eat it! So if you think that doing business in your local community is your best bet... usually it's a good thing to do. But beware of Gold Wrench's 12 month warranty because it's not worth the paper it's printed on! read more

These guys are honest. They won't sell you on something that doesn't need to be done. I've gone in several times for services I thought I needed and they either checked it out and told me I didn't need what I thought, or they found a different path to save me money. I've never had them "throw parts" at a problem to try to fix it - they diagnose and repair. Old school mechanics. read more

DANGER! DO NOT GO HERE! Had been driving my D21 truck around daily for about 7 months before a starting issue popped up. Took it in to be diagnosed and then a few days later I get a call from the owner saying I need a new rear end. Says the driveline is disconnected from the differential. I go down and sure enough it is. I asked the manager how this came to be he claimed his crew drove it about 80 feet. Upon startup it was "clunking until it popped out it must've been clunking before that's how you know they're going out" I personally have broken a differential in the past and I know what it sounds like. I said it was not making that sound (my girlfriend who rides with me daily can confirm) and pressed him further on how that came to be. He then got confrontational and said "I've been doing this for 20 years, don't you try and pull a fast one on me buddy" a few more words were exchanged then I left realizing I had been screwed and there was little I could do in this case. Had my sons Volvo towed into the shop after hours one night. After it wouldn't cooperate and go back together for me after replacing a lower control arm. Joe was my contact regarding the work to be done on the car. Considering that the car was dropped in their lap after hours with no appointment. They did a great job of diagnosing what needed to be done and replacing needed parts in a timely fashion. I also had the other control arm and a cv axle in the back seat ready to be installed on the other side. Joe took care of it and recommended the front brakes be done as well or at least within another 1000 miles. So I had them install the other parts and do the brakes. Considering the situation and how many vehicles they had already lined up to work on. I can't complain about how quickly they jumped on my sons car and got the job done. My other son has had some work done here on his JEEP as well and has been very happy with their work. I had them fix the heat in my Ford Explorer. They were fast, friendly, and professional. I would have given them five stars, but it ended up costing about $120 over the "Max" estimate that I was given over the phone. They said if it was complicated, and they had to pull apart the dash? Then it would cost $500ish. If easier, and they didn't have to take the dash apart? It could be as cheap as $250ish. When a different mechanic called me to give the final estimate, he admitted that it was easier, and they didn't have to pull the whole dash, so I was surprised when he then quoted me $600ish. That, and an oil change ended up costing $681. Great mechanics, nice guys, I just wish it had been a bit cheaper, as I had been led to believe it would be. read more

On our first visit to get our land rover repaired they not only did a fantastic job but did it for hundreds less with the same parts as the dealer. They have done repairs on all of our vehicles and we have always been 100% satisfied.
