These guys love to cut corners, and their laziness cost me big time. A very "used car salesman" type of place for sure. I purchased a Stealth trailer from Troy Snelling at Dayspring trailers back on February 13, 2020. Troy is a bit abrasive and cocky..not overly so..but enough to be a turn-off. I dealt with it because there was very few options around for what I was looking for..but if there had been other close by options..I would have gone there. I was hoping to avoid paying sales tax by purchasing in Oregon, but I found out later that my state, Arkansas, will still make you pay sales tax on anything over $3000..so that didn't work out anyway. The problem I have with Dayspring is that they are lazy..I had to get my trailer delivered from another state..and when I went to pick it up, it was dirty. Troy explained that the city does not allow them to use soap to wash things. I replied that you could still clean it up with high pressure water to get the mud and dust off. Its funny how they are not motivated to clean off the trailer for delivery, but they have the motivation to place their bumper stickers on it to get free advertising...another issue is the lot is hopelessly small for the business they are in..we actually had to meet down the street to hook the trailer up to my RV. I also asked if there were any dealer fees when I first went in and ordered my unit, and was told "no" by Troy, but when he was talking everything up a week later, he tried to slide a couple of hundred dollars in for some BS fee made to sound like its a state thing, but I knew better, and when challenged him on it he quickly made it disappear. On to the real issues....as I was finishing up the purchasing paperwork I asked for the temporary permit, and Troy said "the state of Oregon does not issue them for out of state buyers." Huh? ...He said I just need to "show the cop the paperwork" and thats how it's done. This all sounded fishy, but hey, he's the dealer who's been doing this for years, so I went with it. Well as you can probably guess from the tone of this review..I got a ticket. I explained, showed proof of purchase, the whole thing, but a cop in California gave me ticket anyway, and the only reason I was stopped was for the trailer not having a plate. I reached out DaySpring for help and was ignored multiple times..I kept calling back and would just get told a letter would be emailed to me "later" and they were very "busy". I contacted a a lady named Esther at the Oregon DMV board asking for a statement about not issuing permits for out of state buyers so that I could send it to the L.A court, an low and behold, said they SHOULD have issued a temp tag to me..and there ARE temp tags available for both in state and out of state. After 8 years in business its hard to believe that they didn't know that..and they should have known either way...that is their buisness. Troy did write a half-ass letter on my behalf to the court after the state or Oregon contacted him.. without actually clearly stating I asked for a permit and he told me the state does not issue them. He actually said in the letter they don't even like issuing LOCAL temp permits because "they fall off the back of the trailer with all the personal info" .. what a crock of bull. Temp tags can be secured in plastic sleeves if that were really an issue, or kept inside of the car if the BUYER decided he wanted to pull if off when the trailer was parked. How convienet that Troys "concern" for your information justify him cutting a corner. Why not give the CUSTOMER the choice of what they want Troy? Maybe some of us would rather not get harassed by law enforcement over the slight chance of a permit "falling off". I had to go back and forth mailing court documents and stressing about this for months before I finally got it dismissed. I would not recommend this place at all..but if you really need a specific trailer and they have what you want, then make sure they will give you a permit and watch them very close. read more

My experience at DSA&T was very good. I found the Alcom Stealth trailer for sale online through a referral site with no history with DSA&T. My electronic and phone contact with them was handled in a timely and professional way. My wife and I drove 5 hours to pick up the trailer and when we arrived the sales and service people were very helpful and patient with us as this is our first trailer purchase and we had lots of questions. She was very complimentary of them and said the experience was better than she expected as everyone respected both of us equally. And they are Duck fans which is always a good thing even though their building is Orange and Black. read more

These guys tried to sell my daughter a car. I insisted she take it to our mechanic to get it checked out before purchasing the car. The car turned out to be a piece of junk. My mechanic's exact words, "This car is technically totaled." In other words, the amount it would cost to get it repaired is close to it's sale price. He also said it's illegal for Dayspring Auto to sell the car in this condition. Dayspring Auto wasted $65 of my daughters money and hours of time. They knew the car was a piece of junk, and they let her go through the process anyway. This company has no ethics. It's one of those scumbag used car dealers that you hear about. I found Dayspring through an ad on Craigslist for the 2006 Honda Element that I saw. I was in dire need for a car and went to go look at it that day. I've known about Elements for a while so I didn't need to know much of the Specs. I was able to test drive another car before trying the Element, and I just fell in love with the Honda as soon as I started driving it. I decided right then and there to get it. I got all my paperwork worked out with this nice man Tim, I don't think he works there anymore but he was GREAT. The service was so fast and they were so helpful. I was able to take the car right off the lot right then and there with a temporary License plate paper that lasted me a few months until I got my real ones in hand. I needed a dependable car, I got it for a GREAT price and haven't had any troubles with it. I've seen a few bad reviews for this place but I had nothing but great service and help from these people, I could have lost my job if I didn't get this car so I'm super thankful! They helped get me an AMAZINGLY low monthly payment through a credit union and it's Great! read more

Amazing place to buy a car!! I got into a car accident and totaled my baby (2007 white subaru impreza) and I wanted the same car so I went on the hunt for a similar car. Dayspring Auto and Trailer had just the one (same everything but blue). I called them and told them I wasn't sure if I had the funds or not for the car but that I was very interested. They were great, even on the initial meeting on the phone to discuss the car. The man on the phone, Gary, was very kind and receptive. He listened like he actually cared about my problems and even told me there was a payment plan available if I needed it. I live two hours away but I made the trip there and fell in love with the car as soon as I drove it. She's a beaut and just the same as my old car. They even lowered the price by 200 dollars for me. They also had a deal where you pay a little extra (200 I believe?) for a 3 month warranty where if there is any damage to the engine or transmission they will cover it. Great added benefit. Gary helped me again at the office when I was there. Very kind, funny and genuinely thoughtful person. Was very pleased with his service. He made an effort to connect with me on a personal level, not just treat me like a dollar sign. Then today, a few months later, they texted me to see how everything was going! Very nice of them to check in like that. I feel like the place actually cared about me being happy with my car. It was a nice feeling and I am very appreciative. I first need to preface this review with, "I know I should never trust a used car dealer." That said, I will as briefly as possible tell you my experience with Dayspring Auto. My wife and I purchased a Mazda MPV minivan from these guys back in May. Just recently, after spending over $3000 do we have it in decent running order. When we went to the lot, the car was in amazing shape. It looked new. We took it for a 20 minute test drive and things seemed great. I was a little worried about the "as is" no warranty policy, but was assured by Eddy, the salesman who worked us over, that "we stand by our cars". On the way home, the "check engine light turned on". It turns out the Mazda needed a new catalytic converter. This would cost around $1000. It turns out the way Dayspring stands by their vehicles is to send you to a mechanic they know that gives a slight price break. So we got a new catalytic converter. The Check Engine light comes back on and we have to replace the other catalytic converter. Another $1000. Then the coils need to be replaced, then the oil gasket seal needs to be replaced. I don't expect the car to be perfect, but Dayspring did nothing other than refer us to a mechanic. I was hoping they might help out with the repair, or maybe, and I know this is reaching, take a grand or two off the cost of the van. After promising that the van was in excellent condition and that they would stand by their cars, it was very disappointing to be exploited by them. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this used car lot. I would hate to see this happen to others as well. read more

This lot had a 2006 Chevy 2500hd Lt for sale. Nice truck but completely BALD tires. What lot would sell a vehicle with bald tires?! So I took a look at the 2008 Ford F-250 parked next to it and lo and behold it also had bald tires. Seriously? Obviously these guys only care about the money not their customers. read more
