All we needed was a broken engine cover to get removed. Although it was last minute, a younger guy with a mustache (I don't remember his name) gave us exemplary service and was very personable and didn't try to price gouge us for something so simple and under warranty. Honda screwed me over, even charged me 395.00 for a battery, so I could drive my Honda 2019, with less than 60000 miles on it out of thier dealership parking lot. Then they said they were going to add $6800 just bc there's only 1. Bring the total around 50k. Then find out yesterday they marked it up over 20k. They want 64k. For 64k I can find way better stuff to drive. This has to be illegal. Marking up a car 50% on top of MSRP. That's robbery. I bought at least 3 new cars from Gresham Honda within the last 8 yrs. My wife has always come to this location to take care of her cars (all Hondas) buying and taking care of what needs to happen (oil changes, tune ups, etc..). Things have been getting more and more expensive lately so she has started to check elsewhere for the more expensive items. Recently she went to get an oil change because she had a discount on one oil change. They told her she needed a few things including her tires aligned. Mind you she just had them aligned through a separate company 2 months ago. She told them this once she got the paperwork and they told her to go back to the original business that did it. Before she went back tot he original business she went to a third place to it's not a back and forth between two places. The third business said no she doesn't need an alignment. Anyone who tells you this is just trying to make more money. They even charge $50 to replace a key fob battery. The battery costs $5 tops and it takes 3 minutes. I didn't know until after my wife had it done. I told her I can change it for a lot less. So here is the suggestion. If you want to be scammed for unneeded car repair work then go to these people. Maybe if you like throwing your money out the window you can just go through this place. Otherwise I would recommend avoiding this place like the plague. What a rip off. read more

Not a fan of this business. Paid cash for a car, ended up paying more than the agreed upon price. Dealership did not transfer the title, so we could not register our purchased vehicle. When we called dealership after our fun DMV trip of not having any record of our purchase, Tonkin had the audacity to ask us to pay the titling fee. $101 bucks later, we can hopefully register our car and not trip permits. -Keep in mind, dealerships have 15 business days to transfer title to DMV under Oregon statue if paid in full. Title was resolved on day 11 after we had to call them and ask what the holdup was, and why we cannot register our car. Complete waste of time, go find a professional business. read more

I've had two other vehicles before. They were German brands. I bought a Honda Accord for my wife. I was going to take it to the Honda service center to get an oil change and a few other things done. They asked me to take my car to the Honda service center for service. My car stayed there for a week. I wasn't given any messages or information about my car for a week. After a week, I went to the Honda dealership and told them about my car's condition. They didn't even give me any information about any maintenance or work I wanted done. I got angry, took my car, and left. They shamelessly charged me for parking. I've heard many similar complaints. This Honda service center is a complete disgrace. If you're looking for a dealership with no integrity, shady car sales tactics, miscommunication campaigns, and inability to own their mistakes, this is the car dealership for you! Truly a shining example of why car salesman continue to be plagued with a bad repour. Was told by Ron Tonkin Honda Gresham online representative (Adrian) that I would need to come into the dealership to "talk numbers" because apparently, they don't accept online offers and according to Adrian I could "test drive and make sure it's what you want and happy to work out the pricing after." So I take work off the next morning (so I can get there when they open), driving an hour each way. I don't meet Adriane because "he is with 2 other customers currently." I got Lukas who has no idea about the offer I extended to Adrian the day before. I explained to Lukas that I was on a tight time schedule because I needed to get back to work, so I wanted to get right down to just driving the car and then talking numbers (negotiate). He agreed and we did the drive then sat down at "the table" to talk numbers. After I extended my offer (again) he came back and said, "we have a customer who is coming at the end of the day to pay our full asking price". If that was the case, they would have known this the day before when I was talking with Adriane and could have let me know, especially since I made it clear I wanted to negotiate and they were open to it. So, they waste two hours of my time (and money) knowing full well they are not willing to negotiate, and more than likely making-up a fake story about the "full asking price buyers"! I start to walk out of the dealership lobby and Lukas follows me and says, "hey, how about if we can get it closer to 30K (3.33 under asking price btw), would that earn your business?" I said no because then you would be selling the car to me when it's been promised to another "full asking price customer"! Later that day I get a call from the "Sales Manager" who goes by the name of Dane. Dane proceeds to tell me that it was all just a miscommunication that Lukas thought it was already purchased but it wasn't and its still available. He also said that they don't talk numbers unless they're at "the table" so he would have to ask Lukas why he was willing to "talk numbers" while I was actively exiting the building. Dane then asks, "what can I do to earn your business?" to which I reply, negotiate with me on the car that I was told you would negotiate on. Dane say's he can only negotiate in the "hundreds" and not in the "thousands", even though I had made it abundantly clear with my initial offer that I was operating in the "thousands" AND his salesman (Lukas) implied that they could when he asked me if he could earn my business if he could get closer to 30K (that would have been 3.33K under the asking price)! So, the conversation ended by Dane taking no responsibility for he and his teams tacky and deceitful sales tactics, continued contradictions of financial margins they could work within, and zero ownership of the many mistakes made along the way. Terrible experience at the service department. I took in my Civic to fix an annoying obvious plastic creak coming from the infotainment system and dashboard. There's even a bulletin for 11th Gen Civics infotainment/dashboard creeks as this is a very common issue. The estimated time to pick up the vehicle was later on the same day until the next morning. A day passed, no phone call. The next day passed... no phone call. I called the service department thrice during those 2 days to see how it was going. Was sent to voicemail every time. I even left a voicemail to Jason's line, and yet no response. I finally went in the third day to pick up my car, and turns out the car was ready to be picked up the same day I dropped it off. Jason put in my phone number incorrectly, so if he did make any calls, it went to the wrong number (It was off by literally one number). Finally to add insult to injury, the problem was not even fixed. Apparently they drove it 10 miles and noticed no sound. This is extremely frustrating because the noise is extremely prevalent at ANY speed and road conditions. I drove off the lot and immediately heard it. It feels as if they were too lazy to even work on it, so they concluded no noise was made. It seriously could not be that hard to add felt tape to the plastic trims. Overall, this whole experience was a huge slap to the face and an inconvenience, since I was left almost 3 days without transportation, no communication was given and the problem wasn't even attempted to be fixed. read more

I call BS on him. He then claimed the trade in value of my Tesla was $26,000. Again I call BS on him. I would not do business with this company if I were anyone considering it. The key that was returned to me was cracked and did not work. By the way Tesla gave me a trade in value for my car of $32,000 minimum. I purchased a 2016 Pilot in December. The lack of transparency is astounding! It was not until AFTER I signed the as-is paperwork was I told there was only 1 key. In fact, the sales person told me he looked for the second key. The car had been on the lot for 3 months, so how one did not know there was only 1 key is beyond me. My trip permit was written for 20 days. Every day I checked the mail for my plates and registration, and after about a week AFTER my trip permit expired I contacted Gresham Honda to see where my plates were. The finance representative informed me the vehicle had been repossessed and they did not have the appropriate signatures from the auction lot they purchased my car from. (I'm pretty sure this is why there is only 1 key, no floor mats, and no owner's manual.) Due to these titling issues, it took 39 days to get my temporary plates in the mail. Had I have been pulled over it's MY ticket and MY insurance rates at risk... for their incompetence. I just went through the car wash and the trim on my roof lifted up. One section right off a screw, so that's clearly a stripped connector. How this is a certified pre-owned vehicle is beyond me. Never will I consider buying from this dealership again. read more
