The fuel door on my Hyundai broke off and I bought a new one on Amazon. The quote was very reasonable to paint and install it. They took the new door and in a day painted it to match my car. Then I came back and took about 20 minutes to install it. Great service, great people. read more

They were recommended to me by my mechanic after a motor vehicle accident, and I am so thankful they did. They did an amazing job. They are kind and honest. In a world where people are cutting corners and scamming this is a place you can actually trust with your car. I can't recommend them enough!! read more

After getting 3 estimates to repair damage to 2002 4Runner, I chose Thompson Auto Body. They took pre repair photos and are just the family owned business that I prefer to employ. Besides, a neighbor recommended them to me. The results were great. They found the needed parts and the finished paint match was perfect. They worked with my insurance carrier and left me satisfied. Good choice. No wonder they are highly rated. I'll return with my 2012 car to get it looking like new. read more

I stopped to get an estimate to pop my bumper back on after trying several times to do it myself. James (the owner for 33 years) listened to what I wanted and fixed it on the spot. It took about 15 minutes and when I asked the charge, James said 'no charge'. THANK YOU THOMPSON AUTO BODY! read more

I recently needed some body work done, changing my headlight and painting done on my little commutor car. I felt customer service was spot on, and the turn around time to get my car back was quick and easy and the shop even returned my rental car for me at pickup. Thank you Thompson Auto for taking care of me when I needed it. I would recommend you and know if something were ever to happen in the future to my car I know who to reach out to. read more

Dave and Monica are the best! Very talented. Headed back tomorrow with some more damage, different rig! No disappointments!

Hands down the best auto body shop I've ever dealt with. They go above and beyond to make sure that the vehicle is repaired correctly, and done in a timely manner. They also, go to great lengths to make sure you as the customer are taken care of and satisfied. Highly recommend Thompson Auto Body for any vehicle body needs! read more

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!!! I hugged a post and scraped up the back door on my new Highlander. I was so sad-- yellow and black paint ground in my paint job and plastic door bumper. My spouse took it in, easily anticipating a three or low four digit repair. Walked right in. They took one look at it, pulled out some magical solution, which I'm told they have specially blended for them, and wiped it off. Buffed with a little wax and the damage is GONE. Asked how much it was going to cost, "No charge; tell your friends." So there you have it, people. An auto body shop that is run by benevolent wizards. We'll be back to give them our business with our other car, which has seen some shit over the years, and hopefully they will at least take some of our money. read more

Someone did a hit and run on my truck, I went to Thompson Auto Body without a appointment, and let me tell you Monica and the rest of the Staff did such an amazing Job not only with Customer service, but with explaining every step to getting my truck fixed. I have never been to this shop but they showed nothing but trust for us. They let us leave our truck with them, they called us to update us, they even went as far to hold our truck until we got back from our week Vacation. Not only will I give them my business, but I would be sure to recommend them to everyone I come into contact with. My truck was fixed within a week or so and now looks brand new. Everyone at Thompson Auto Body was kind, generous, and trustworthy the entire time. I have not felt comfortable in most car shops, as I had to take my Subie in MULTIPLE TIMES for it to still have problems, and even more than what we had came in for, so I was hesitant until I met Monica and the staff, we just got our Truck back today and it is in AMAZING condition. If I ever have a problem with my car again I will be sure to come to this shop. Save yourself time, money, and a headache if you are looking for an auto body shop and take your car to Thompsons, cause I assure you that your car will be taken care for by the best in Oregon. Thank you To the Staff at Thompson Auto Body, we greatly appreciate all that you have done for us! -Timmy & Chris read more

We've been taking our cars to Thompson Auto Body since 2014, and probably averaging one repair a year. Every time, they have been exceptional. Monica and Jim have taken great care of our vehicles over and over. Monica handles the insurance and all the details and parts (and hand holding, when I need it!), while Jim does an expert job of repairing and repainting. They explain everything patiently, get the work done perfectly every time, and usually early. They're very personable and great to work with, every time. read more

Hello, I normally don't review anything let alone places but I want others to see how much I appreciate the staff here. The staff was always replying to my emails about updates and answered every-time I called. They fixed my car in 2 and a half months and made sure it was carefully inspected. If I was hit again I would go here for any future repairs. read more

We just had our 2000 Honda CRV get a make-over from Thompson Auto Body and couldn't be happier with the results. The owners Monica and Jim are smart, fair, and honest. I highly recommend them. Michael McDermott read more

I am so grateful to the Thompson Auto Body Team. I had to take my car in for repairs after getting into an accident and the whole experience was great from the time I schedule the appointment to when I picked it up. Monica runs the front office and she rocks! She handled scheduling of the parts, repairs, rental car, and billing of the insurance with ease. Then the guys in the shop go above and beyond with repairing the car with top quality products! When I went to pick my car up yesterday, I was thinking, "Oh, nice weather this weekend, I will go get my car cleaned." When I showed up to pick up my car it looked like it rolled off the show room floor. They had cleaned it for me! Plus they left a sample of Blind Coffee Roasters Co. (local company) whole bean coffee in my car as a thank you for my business. Now this is service! Please help me support local businesses by taking your business to Thompson's Auto Body. They will not disappoint! read more

This place is 200% legit!! Repairs went above and beyond expectations. I hardly recognized my car when I went to pick it up. The headlights glowed, the rims sparkled, and the paint glistened. My car looked 5 years newer than when I dropped it off, even though the only thing they were repairing was the front end. Furthermore the owner and his wife are also super legit. They won't bullshit you and they won't give you a run for your money. This is a good, honest, family run company. I grew up hanging around my uncle's shop, Hy Teck Auto (four hours south of here), and I've heard the horror stories. I've also spent time doing auto body work myself, so I know the difference between good and bad work. There are a lot of corrupt people in the business but my uncle is one of the few honest ones. That being said I'm decently good at recognizing the crooks and the honest people in the auto repair business, I'll tell you, it ain't hard if you know what to look for, but a lot of people get conned anyways. Thompson Auto is one of the few good guys in the business. Also, the same repairs at another shop would have cost me double. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family and people I want to have a positive experience when it comes to body repairs and paint. read more

Wow, where do i begin. I took my 2015 black dodge ram to Thompson Auto Body after an accident. I left my truck unwashed and dirty. Right away Monica started taking care of the paperwork, scheduled my rental car and got me in the next day. Immediately, it was evident that this is not your average auto body shop. James loves cars and takes care of his customers, Monica takes care of the rest. Upon picking up my truck this mourning, i was delighted at the detailed work these guys performed. My truck is in far better shape than it was before my accident. Besides perfectly matching and blending the black metallic paint, they fully detailed the exterior of my truck. Great body shop. I'll be back. read more

I just had a mirror replaced and painted but the mirror I had brought in was the wrong type. They took care of the issue and I wasn't charged more because of it. They also touched up a few scratches for me without charging extra. These little customer service acts went above the job I was paying them for. The work was done right and they are very friendly. They'll walk you through anything you need to know/want to know. Hopefully, I will not be in need of more work, but if so I know where to go. read more

They did a great job at Thompson's auto body repair in my car. Monica called every couple of days to let us know what was going on and they were very responsive when we had questions. They were in contact with our insurance company and were able to get changes made to the estimate when they found more problems. They even insisted on using manufacture parts instead of aftermarket to make sure we would be safe. Will definitely use them in the future. It was really nice to be able to work with a family run business. read more

Swung in for what I thought was a big problem, the guy working there took a quick peak at my car and discovered it was a quick fix, 5 mins later I was on my way, no charge! Thanks! read more

I was recently rear ended and it was the first time experiencing a collision. I took my car to Thompson Auto Body and they literally took care of EVERYTHING!! Monica assisted me with the insurance claim and made it to where all I needed to do was drop my car off and let them do their magic, which is exactly what they did. Not only did they fix it in less than 24 hours but it looked absolutely AMAZING!! The quality of work done was hands down FLAWLESS!! My personal advice to anyone needing an honest, caring and extremely professional shop is to choose Thompson Auto Body and if you don't I assure you that you are making a mistake. read more

I can't say enough about how happy I am with the service we just received! My 22 year old son just moved to Portland after graduating from college. 15 days later, he wrecked the car. Monica was wonderful to work with in keeping his costs down as HE had no money and we live in California and were paying for the repairs. They were fantastic at walking our son through the process. Monica sent me emails to keep me updated on costs. It was done within 2 weeks and it looks great! I hope he never needs auto body work again, but if he does, I know where he's going! read more

They did an amazing job on my Subaru Outback. Even vacuumed and cleaned it inside and outside. I was very positively surprised. All the damage has been fixed quickly and very professionally. Thompson Auto Body is amazing and I highly recommend them! Monica is great and and was able to do all the work we needed below the cost she initially quoted us. I didn't actually get any work done here but the woman who did the estimate just gave me advice on how to fix it myself and told me there was no need to get the whole bumper replaced. No hard sell. Really lovely. Thank you! read more

I had minor scratches and paint on my left rear bumper due to someone else backing up into me... the first place I went to told me it was through my paint and would cost me $250. I decided to look around and seen Thompson auto body had great reviews and came in. The wife told me it's easy I can do it myself or they can do it for $40. They squeezed me in got it done less than 10 minutes. I Definitely appreciate their honesty, also for not having me come back for a 10 min job. Thanks Thompson auto body! I would definitely come back and will recommend you guys. read more

Highly recommend they do an amazing job! Always trust them. Quality work, great customer service Monica is on top of things. They have worked on 5 of my families cars after accidents over the last 7 years or so maybe longer. We will always keep coming back. read more

The owners are amazing. They are patient to explain everything necessary in order to have a full understanding of what needs to be done & they do not over-quote, over-promise or over-exaggerate. HIGHLY recommend, even if you have to come over from the West side, they are DEFINITELY worth it! read more

Awesome body shop! Needed my low-mileage but 25-year-old 4Runner's crumpled tailgate (don't ask) replaced. Wrecking yards don't hang onto metal body parts this old but owner Monica said she'd see what she could find. She called me a few hours later with info from a Craigslist ad. It was the correct year so I snapped it up, but mine has a spare tire which meant the license plate bracket and the backup lights and the lighting harness and the tire mount would all need to be hand customized to make it work. Owner Jimmy and his main helper, John, spent hours fabricating a new tailgate using parts from the "new" tailgate and pieces of mine. I am blown away by the results! To see her now, you would never believe what my baby looked like when I left her in their hands. Jimmy and his crew are true craftsmen for our chariots! read more

I had a wonderful experience with Thompson Auto Body. I needed some work done on the front of my car. I first called to get a quote and talk about the process, then I went in just to have them take a look and schedule an appointment and they were able to do all the work right then! They were quick, extremely well priced (came in well under what they quoted), friendly, and easy to work with. Will definitely use them again if the need arises, and highly recommend them to everyone! read more
