Love this old style diner with all-day breakfast & a well-seasoned crew & customer base;) I worked in country towns all over Texas during the 70s & 80s & this is exactly the small town gravy hub you'd find the locals eating in. This is a gem in the rough. This place is not impressive from the outside but there is a reason the parking lot is always full. The tastes great and is inexpensive. I got an order of French toast and it was wonderful. I wish they had used thicker bread for the French toast. The breakfast burrito was big but unimpressive. Wife and I went there for lunch. Bread, chicken fried steak and okra were not made from scratch but institutionally delivered crap. Frozen food and prepackaged bread may be comfort food for some, not for me. Service was fast and friendly. But not good enough to overcome the food. Won't be back. read more

If you like breakfast all day, you can't do better than WSC. Tonight I had the grilled pork chops, medium and eggs over medium with hash browns, toast and gravy. Eggs and chops were cooked perfectly to order. Hash browns nice and crispy outside and super soft inside. Gravy is always good. Service is always very good to excellent because they are never understaffed, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, My server, Ashton, did a great job. I'll continue to dine here weekly. read more

Always great food and service. 1st time I tried it was perhaps 20 years ago. Moved further East and hadn't been back in a while. This fall though I began to be in the area periodically and began to visit it again. Have had several great meals there in the last few months. One of my favorites is the chicken and dumplings and the Friday special - Beef Tips and Noodles. The breakfast burrito is also crazy good. Make sure to ask for a fair amount of their homemade salsa. They have a great standard salsa and at times have a green salsa as well. Both are very good. read more

Excellent Breakfast Normally when on a road trip we only get coffee and a pastry starting out. But today we started later then normal. Saw this old small strip mall with a number of cars parked by a tired looking restaurant. Location is definitely nothing special but we decided to try anyway. This is most definitely a local establishment. Atmosphere very casual and friendly. Inside reminds me of the 80 time period. The restaurant was about full. The host seated us and took our drink order so we got them fairly quickly. Waitress was friendly and courteous. Came back regularly for coffee refills. I had the Western Omelette with biscuits and gravy. My spouse had the Eggs and Bacon. Food was tasty would order again. Portions were decent size and prices reasonable. I don't know about you, but it is completely changed since the original owner died. So the waitress that we had acted just like a robot I mean no personality no nothing and I've definitely had better food. That's why I think I've maybe been there four times in my entire life of living here since 1969. I honestly would rather just go to waffle house. I think like Paris Café.
