My son 15, hes a growing boy, went over to pick up some food for himself before football practice. The manager was very rude, she didnt like how he filled his takeout containers. My boy can go in there and eat four plates plus dessert in one sitting. And you have a problem with a container thats maybe two plates. The employees all teenagers had something to say , they are there to work that's it, manager is not the owner so she needs to keep her mouth shut. I cannot begin to tell everyone the Awesome time we had at West End Grill & Cantina! The staff was polite and friendly from beginning to end and the FOOD, "WOW" the food was GREAT and very tasty. This includes a buffet with Ribs, Pulled Pork, Veggies, Mexican dishes and more. Although there is quite a variety to choose from, the quality and taste of the food at West End is less than desired and completely overpriced. Not to mention the service! You look around and see all waitresses on their phones or goofing off with one another. The hostesses seem to be the only ones doing their jobs. I will never go there again. read more

Had a great time enjoying the laid back atmosphere. All you could ask for related to good home cooking was present in the buffet, including Chicken Fry (which was perfect), Brisket (juicy tender) and Pork Ribs (my top pick). The Ribs were moist, but had just the right crisp. Seasoned right between savory and sweet, a perfect blend. Service was top notch. Our waitress was attentive and kept are drinks full. Bar service was excellent. Bar tender made drinks to order and beer was served ice cold. All this and the price was right, we will be back. read more

The Golden Coral cattle call went out of business so it's all we have now. Like "the coral" it's not worth the money. They serve alcohol therefore they might stay in business. Being truthful, I haven't tried eating their food drunk so that could be an option. read more

Food isn't that great. Often it is dried out. Very over priced. $8 for my 7yr old and $6 for my 3yr old to eat. They can eat anywhere else in town for under $5 each. Usually they share a meal and we only spend $5 for both of them. Plus it's decorated with dead animals on the wall. That's the last thing I want to look at while I eat. We went to this place because we heard it was good, and we got a buy one get one coupon from the paper. The food was good, and the service was good -- until it was time to check out. We were told that because we had a coupon, the price we had to pay was $3 more than the price listed. They said the listed price was for people who don't have a coupon. West End Grill is a BBQ-style buffet, they always have chopped brisket, sliced brisket and beef ribs in their buffet case. The BBQ sauce is sweet and slightly tangy, it does not have a overriding ketchup taste. The macaroni is obviously made from a cheese sauce mix but it is still delicious, their food always seems fresh to me when I have eaten there. The only let-down I've ever experienced with their food is their very bland quesadillas. The service is very sub-par, every waitress I've had always takes a long time to refill my drink despite there only being a couple other customers there at the times I frequent. Despite this, I cannot blame them if they seem to always be in a bad mood, they cater to Cleburne folk after all and therefore I've never really had much of an issue with this aspect. I did encounter an odd situation last time my husband and I decided to eat there, we had been there for 20 or so minutes and three of the waitresses came up to our table and said to us "Did they tell you guys we're not accepting credit cards right now?" We responded no, so they all apologized and told us what they were doing was having customers write down their credit card number, expiration date and security code on a napkin and they would charge them later. This immediately set off alarms for me and I told them my husband would go withdraw some money from our account and return while I remained there. Unfortunately the nearest place for us to get cash back at that point was Wal-Mart, so my husband took around 15 minutes or so to return, during this time the waitresses made no effort to refill my drink even though they had inconvineced us by not informing us of their credit card issue upon entering the restaurant . But what I found really fishy is that while I was there two others couples entered the restaurant and were seated near me at no time did I hear any of the waitresses inform them of the supposed issue with the credit card machine. This lead me to believe that these waitresses were attempting to get our credit card information. I have never had a restaurant ask for my credit card information in that manner, I've always been informed at the entrance or drive-thru that their machine is down. My husband and I ended up being late to the movie just because these women were trying to get a quick buck, I really wish I would have asked their manager to confirm the "writing down your information on a napkin" story to see if they were trying to screw us or if it was a genuine issue. read more

We ignored the poor reviews on Google and stopped here anyway after picking up our daughter from camp. The atmosphere was quirky and the restaurant was clean. The positives pretty much stop there. The scant handful of other patrons at 5:30 on a Friday night should've been our first clue. Our waitress was so unenthusiastic that it felt like we were a bother. The things on the buffet that we found palatable were the dinner rolls and mac-n-cheese. The latter was actually surprisingly pretty good. The salad was fresh but some of the toppings were not and the ranch dressing was very runny. I don't know how you could mess up corn but it was almost the worst thing I tried, next to the VERY dry, cold ribs. Of the meats, the brisket was the best. There was what I think to be bbq pork swimming in sauce but no rolls to make a sandwich and it had WAY too much sauce. I saw chicken fajitas but no tortillas. The mashed potatoes and gravy were flavorless as well. There was a few casserole type dishes that we didn't try because we didn't know what they were. The banana pudding was okay but the plain old chocolate pudding was gross and the peach cobbler was just sad. It tasted like it'd been baking for days and was so caramelized and sticky it was impossible to eat. I usually drink about 3 glasses of tea at a meal but didn't even get through half of my terribly flavorless un sweet "sweet" tea. We had over an hour drive home and I wasn't sure I was going to make it, my stomach hurt so bad. Total bummer. BTW, the adult buffet was $10.99/person and kids were $8.99 each. Way over priced. We should've waited until we got into Burleson and went to Babe's. read more
