I haven't been…read morethis disappointed in a long time, but should have taken to hear the last review that warned me. The last review in last 8 months was bad and makes me wonder if there's new owners that don't care about quality. We stopped in here to try their dogs after coming through Cleburne for the day. From the outside it doesn't look like much and is really hard to find. Once inside, it looked really cool and different. We stood up front for 5 minutes not realizing we had to walk to the back of the restaurant to order. Something seemed off almost immediately when the cashier showed us individual sandwich baggies containing specific portions of frozen fries. That's clue #1. We ordered then sat down. They brought out our drinks and one of the cups was leaking from big chunks of square ice that cut the styrofoam. We had to walk behind when front counter to get another cup because nobody comes out from the back. Then they brought out lunch. You never can redo a first impression. Right away we knew this wasn't going the way we hoped for when the footling dog was laying across TWO(2) 6" hot dogs buns. WOW! Even Sonic can get a true foot long bun to match their foot long dog. Well....it tasted like a Wal-Mart hot dog. Even the chili tasted burnt and very plain. Guarantee it's canned chili and not even good chili. The bun(s) were the cheapest horrible buns I've ever had. Honestly I've had better leftovers two days old. The other Sauerkraut style dog was pitiful. The bun was so soggy it fell apart and ZERO taste in that sauerkraut. The only thing good was a decent braut. The French fries were dollar store frozen quality. Once again the chili was horrible. If I could give this place NO Stars I would. I can hear up chili and hot dogs at home in the microwave and they would have been better.

I was really excited to try the vegetarian chili and hot dogs they have. We enter, after busy lunch hours and the place is empty except for one table who have already received their food. We walk up to the counter and order vegetarian hot dogs and veggie chili. 20-25 minutes later I see that the family who came in after us received their food and I walk up to the counter to check. That's when I see them open a brand new can of 'Loma Luna' vegetarian chili. Seriously, who needs 25 minutes to open a can and reheat the contents? Had I not seen them opening the can of chili, I would have just thought it's a sad bowl of chili but now I know it's a bad bowl of 'canned' chili. Am now confused if am reviewing the restaurant or Loma Luna. Hot dogs weren't good either. Ikea sells better veggie hot dogs for less than a dollar.

The only thing missing was a little cornmeal on the bottom Service was fast and they walked the sandwich out to my truck when it was ready while I waited in comfortable air conditioning. The woman at the counter was extremely helpful and patient with us as we ordered. We ended up with a 1/4 Philly, a cow town burger, a full catfish, 5 hot wings, and the fried pickles. I really liked the burger and Philly but they do lightly dress everything so we ended up adding a little bit more mayo at home. The hot wings were well made with a very vinegar based buffalo hot sauce while the fried pickles were absolutely delicious. They tasted like best maid pickles and I'm a sucker for those! The rand is made in house and was also very well made. The catfish was good but the breading was definitely on the saltier side, paired with tartar sauce it wasn't too bad. All in all we're definitely coming back!

Asked for water, as I don't drink soft drinks or tea and the young man told me "we don't give cups for water, what do you want to drink". I said nothing to drink then and got my bottled water from the car. People should be able to have water with their meal, even if you have to charge for the cup or sell bottled water. Just my opinion. Sandwich was tasty but I didn't taste/see much cheese, supposedly Swiss? O rings were good and crispy, fair portion. Side of cheese sauce was TINY, fyi. Service at the counter was friendly other than the refusing a cup for water. Manager/owner came thru dining room to check on customers, good move. I didn't like the credit card surcharge (without being told or signage advising) as I had cash. 15% tip for counter service with the CC surcharge made my sandwich and o rings $18 and I had to provide my own water. Pricey lunch. Dining room could use a good sweeping, washing and painting. Both restrooms had signs on the door that they were out of order, but employees used them? Food and service 4 stars, minus a star for unannounced surcharge and no water. I would go again but not dine in, so I can get water and use the restroom.
