This is one of my two favorite burger places that l have ever been to. The ambiance ALONE is worth the hype! Go in, sit at the counter, order at the counter, stay at the counter, visit with the gals cooking burgers behind the counter; then you will have achieved the perfection of a burger experience. Get the hand cut fries. They cut them right there for you to see! I always order the Bailey Burger that comes with grilled jalapeños, grilled onions, bacon, and aioli sauce on a jalapeño bun and hubby gets the Elmore Burger with LTO, pickle and choice of ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise. Burger Bar for the win! . The Burger Bar has been a favorite burger for me for lots of years. Happily when I visit my friends in Cranfill's Gap the Burger Bar somehow always happens to appear in my path at lunchtime coming and going. It's a miracle! Under Heather's ownership the burger options have been nicely expanded but the heart and soul of a 1949 Burger Bar burger remains the same. That greasy burger and grilled bun perfectly prepared on that little gas fired flattop that dates from the year of my birth. Hence it's perfect performance. Took three of the grandsons down Thursday for burgers, fries and brewskies (BYOB) and the Burger Bar did not disappoint. My bacon cheeseburger was as good as they come. Classic burger. The guys are all new fans. They loved it. Heather has added several picnic tables since my last visit and a portable potty at the back of the parking lot. Nice additions! Spending the day in Cleburne, TX I was looking for some local lunchtime cuisine. I walked in and out of several restaurants. Then in a back lot from across the street I spied what was certainly the smallest restaurant I'd ever seen (in all my born days.) I immediately switched direction and made my way over there. The chef was sitting outside chatting with a customer and I said can I actually go in here (it looked to small to be able to actually cook food plus have customers going inside - but I always enjoy a good mashpit so I ventured inside.) Oh my a sit down counter for service - or sit outside is fine too. The chef came in a started on my burger - directly under my close and friendly supervision and conversation. The entire meal experience was so much fun I will definitely plan to visit here the next time I'm in the Dallas area! read more

Stopped here after hiking at Cleburne State Park and it is amazing. Delicious Bacon Cheeseburger for $6.00 and it's lots of bacon. This is an old school burger just like you like it. I have never seen a building this small for a burger bar. The two ladies that run it are quite a pair and are fun to talk to while you eat. This has a nice country feel when you are there and they make you feel welcome. If you visit here you need to understand this is not a full scale restaurant with lots of tables. The building is about 100 foot plus or minus square feet of space. Everything to cook and prepare is in a small tight place. Found this place on Yelp. Had to find somewhere to eat because several places were closed the day after July 4th. This place is tiny but they make the best hamburgers! Staff was friendly and attentive! Waited inside and watched them make my burger. What a treat! I got a cheeseburger with fries and two kids meals. My kids ate ALL of their burger!
