She was very direct and told us upfront it would be about a 20-minute wait, which I appreciated. While we waited, I sat in the car listening to the thunder and rain. There was something peaceful and simple about that moment and I loved it. My husband stayed inside to wait for the food. During that time, a couple came back in upset about the wait and asked for their money back. The owner had just returned from a family event and was clearly trying her best to make things right. Even when the couple was rude, she handled it with grace and empathy, saying, "I'm sad that we failed you." It was such a human moment. One that showed how much she cares about her customers and her business. And our hamburgers were absolutely delicious! Definitely worth the wait. I enjoyed everything about this experience. Kincaid's is still my #1 and Marty B's near Argyle is #2 for me, but Best Burger Barn is a strong #3 and still in my top 5 burgers.
