It's an average of 12 dollars per person here and you get your food within 5 minutes. I got the pineapple fresca and had the unique experience of having to mix my drink so the fruit didn't settle to the bottom. The music was pretty good too. The tortillas had this unique taste like they bought dough from the store and cooked it on the stove. There was a slight aftertaste of corn meal or something that lets me know it wasn't completely made in-house. It wasn't disgusting like genuine store bought tortillas. I got the caldo de res for about 13 bucks and the meat was super soft. My mom said that they must have a Mexican lady back in the kitchen because the soup was how she remembered her grandma making it. All in all if you want authentic Mexican cuisine then come here. You order at the register, and the food is brought to you. I sat at a counter. After I ordered, I wondered how they would find me, as no number or name was provided. The staff were friendly and hardworking. My quesadilla was ok. A bit light on shrimp and a bit messy. It had more sauce than cheese or shrimp. The tortillas were homemade. There is a chip bar with several sauces, but I didn't try them. The girl who brought my food asked if I wanted chips, so they may have to get them to you. The place appears to have been something else before it became a restaurant. If I were back in town, I would give it another try. The food here is fabulous. First time experience and I ams so glad I stopped in for the family. Had the chimigunga and the chili relleno combo plate. Both were fantastic tasting. Chimi was large enough for me. Wife and the chili relleno combo, the relleno was a bit small, mistook it for an enchilada, but the pepper was there. They have a hot sauce bar with about 6 different varieties. Comes with little cups for the to go orders. Unfortunately the lids were a bit sketchy, as one fell off while in the carry out bag and spilled green sauce all over the outside of the styrofoam trays. Really happy with the food. Wow. Just wow. I'm picky about my Tex-Mex /Mexican food, but this was so good. The restaurant was clean and the people and service was friendly. No issues with parking and no wait in line. Hot, crispy chips delivered and the salsa bar was self serve. It was clean and unlimited. Many choices. Be aware that these salsas are not for the faint of heart. Bursting with flavor and considerable heat. I rarely eat chimichangas because I just don't feel like they are the best choice but today I took a chance. I was glad I did. Everything was delicious and the portions were large. The pricing was very reasonable. Two dinners with two bottled drinks, less than $25 before tip. At first when we pulled up I wasn't sure but inside is super cute and clean, with a friendly staff. My husband got the carne asada quesadilla and I got the Vaquero torta. The food came out super fast and had three salsas- red, green and a green creamy salsa that I immediately stole from my husband as he's not a spice fan. The salsa verdes both were AMAZING!!! I drenched half of my torta in one and then the other half in the other. People always ask my go to Mexican spot and I never had an answer until now. I love this place! They're the old huddle house if that means anything to the locals so it's def not fancy. The price is not the cheapest but it's also not overpriced & the food is really pretty good. I like it a lot. The servers have been very nice & so helpful & pleasant every time we've been. I love their horchatas! Just fantastic taste! I'm extra large size & have to use a wheelchair so it can be a challenge finding comfortable seating. Even so, it's been worth it every time we've been.
