The…read moreowner wasn't there at first, and a woman who was helping run things greeted us and took our order. She was very direct and told us upfront it would be about a 20-minute wait, which I appreciated. While we waited, I sat in the car listening to the thunder and rain. There was something peaceful and simple about that moment and I loved it. My husband stayed inside to wait for the food. During that time, a couple came back in upset about the wait and asked for their money back. The owner had just returned from a family event and was clearly trying her best to make things right. Even when the couple was rude, she handled it with grace and empathy, saying, "I'm sad that we failed you." It was such a human moment. One that showed how much she cares about her customers and her business. And our hamburgers were absolutely delicious! Definitely worth the wait. I enjoyed everything about this experience. Support small businesses like this one, friends! It's a hidden gem where real people work hard and care deeply about what they serve.

Think old-fashioned burger stand from many yesteryears. I doubt there has been many updates on the 93 years since this place began. The place had a vintage diner kind of ambiance to it. These folks have been slapping burgers in front of folks since 1932. So if my math adds up, that is 93 years of burgers and fries from these guys. Knowing that fact, I had to give them a try! After walking in, I approached the counter. The person who took our order was friendly and super efficient. She was helpful in explaining how things worked to these two first-timers. Walking away from the counterfeit , I in in had gone full steam ahead having ordered a Chili-Cheeseburger and Fries. I was taken aback when the counter person informed us it might be about 20 minutes but I went with it as they were busy. It took all of 20 minutes to get our order, but let me tell you, the wait was worth every second. This burger is not being over-hyped, it's amazing!
