I love the burritos here! Everything tastes homemade...yum! They have 2 different sauces- red and green. While both are good, the green is where it is at! Red is mild and green is hot. However, it isn't burn your tongue off hot. It is perfect. The staff are nice and I have never had a bad experience here. I will keep coming back! By the lines I always see in the drive-thru, I am not the only ones who thinks this way. read more

Grease here, grease there, grease everywhere. I got the fajita tacos. I don't mind a little greasy, but when my face feels like it's been slathered with grease it's a different story. Breakfast is excellent here. Sausage tastes like Italian sausage and I'm not a fan of that for breakfast. Ordered combo fajitas and while the fajita meat was delicious, it came with only one big tortilla and some rice and beans. No guacamole, no lettuce, no sour cream, and no cheese. The girl that took my order stayed on her phone and forgot to give me a fork, meaning I had to make a return trip just for that. She was still on her phone when I came back. SMH Cheese Enchiladas are excellent. Barbacoa burrito is excellent. All breakfast burritos are excellent minus the sausage one. Should use breakfast sausage, not Italian. Consistency is the problem, some days big burritos some days small, some days you get what you pay for others you just deal w rude ass owner. I literally go to this place for breakfast probably 4 days a week and have been for the past 2 years. They all know me by name and know my order. I can see how the opinions of the owner are formed but he really is a nice guy. Most of the staff are really nice and always overwhelmed. The breakfast burritos are amazing and the sauce is the best. This place is amazing. They by far and away have the best breakfast and dinner burritos around. You add in your own toppings and have to wait some but it's worth it because they are made to order. They sometimes aren't super friendly but it's fine. Be ready to pay extra for everything you add (sauce, cheese, grilled onions, guacamole) but prices are still pretty competitive. I will say that I frequent Tacote often. After today's visit, I will not be going back. I took a bite of my burrito and bit down on something hard and actually scraped my tooth. I had a one inch screw inside my burrito. Seriously... a screw! How does that even happen? I'm not looking to get my money back or anything along those lines but how far do I take this? The beef tacote is my favorite! Beef, cheese, cilantro, and onion (I get it without onion), and avocado. They have choice of two salsas, red (my fave) and salsa verde, for a little extra spice. Great sweet tea and they have Mexican Coke. Great hole-in-the-wall place. read more

Have been to Tacote many times and will continue to go. I usually have the brisket burritos or the steak ranchero plate, always delicious. I now also pick a dozen or more breakfast burritos and take to the office, everyone loves them. Great Food!! read more

My parents love this place and every time I visit from Austin, we choose to get tacos from here. Well this will be the last time we go due to a lack of costumer service. We ordered 3 breakfast burritos and an order of street chicken tacos on corn. When I pulled up to the window the lady told us we could have 2 salsas (green and a red) per taco and that there were 2 tacos in the order of street tacos. If we wanted more salsa we would be charged 25 cents per each extra one, so we chose not to do that. I should have checked the bag to make sure everything was there but of course didn't and sure enough when we got home and pulled them out there was only 2 red salsas and 2 green salsas along with ONE chicken taco. My mom called back to tell them what happened and the girl told her she remembered us and even stumbled around her words not admitting she made a mistake and instead told my mom to come back and buy another taco if she wants. I am a huge fan of good tacos and good salsa but a larger fan of good customer service. They lack all three. The red salsa is not worthy of being called a salsa and the tacos are ultra greasy. The best part of this taco place is the green salsa but that alone won't hold up a restaurant. Good luck. read more

Really good homemade tortillas. Have tried other stuff but always go back to the burritos. Price is great $2.80 for choice of meat, cilantro, onion, then .45 cents for extra ingredients: beans, cheese, potato, rice. So you can get what you want on it for a very reasonable price! My only complaint is when the owner isn't there portion size of the burrito seems to be inconsistent. read more

Chicken tacos are really good. I like that there is a place that offers chicken in mornings. My husband doesnt eat pork & finding a place who doesn't have just sausage & bacon is wonferful! They are a little dry though. read more
