"Hard plastic" which everyone knows is NOT an ingredient in a potato, bacon, egg and cheese breakfast burrito.

Be aware of what you're actually eating or what's in your breakfast burrito. Whether it was accidentally or intentionally, everyone knows that "hard plastic" piece is NOT an ingredient in a potato, bacon, egg and cheese breakfast burrito. Eat with CAUTION!

I have no idea how I missed this spot for years! Finally stopped in for a weekend breakfast and was pleasantly surprised this small building on 377 has a sit down with a waitress style restaurant inside. Staff quickly loaded us up with chips and salsa. We added the green salsa that I saw on Yelp was a "do not miss" item and y'all were right! Ordered 3 tacos and some charro beans. All flavorful and authentic. Low low prices and quick service makes this a hidden gem in granbury away from the typical options.

They offer a large variety of food and I have found that you better bring your appetite because the portions are huge. Their open face scramble is my go to its starts with a large homemade biscuit which to me is one of the best I have ever had. It is then covered with hash browns,:two eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. It is then all smothered with gravy. It is a lot of food I usually take half of it home. And all this food for under $10. I will warn you to think twice before ordering a stack of pancakes unless you are really hungry each one is the size of the plate so three of these is sure to fill you up. One last thing if you are visiting here on the weekend be prepared to have a small wait as this is a local favorite but will be definitely worth it

From the start, breakfast was solid all the way around. Seating was quick (we seated ourselves), and our waitress came over almost immediately to take drink orders. When she returned, we were ready to order--which is always a minor victory when dining with my youngest grandsons. One of them eats like a champ; the other... not so much. On this visit, hash browns were the sole winner for him. As for me, I went big. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelet topped with hollandaise sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The breakfast also came with two large pancakes. The only minor downside was that the pancakes arrived just slightly warm--not hot. I understand they're likely made ahead and held under a heat lamp while the rest of the table's orders are finished, so it wasn't a dealbreaker, and I still enjoyed them. Overall, Cari's is a great spot for breakfast, and hopefully I won't wait another eight years before my next visit!

Even with a party of 8 we didn't wait more than 10 min. 1 Star Service: As stated, we were sat quickly. We did ask for the ceiling fan above us to be turned off and one of the waiters quipped, "It's not there for y'all, it's for the servers who are sweating." That really put me off to begin the meal, BUT that being said, our waiter was nothing but nice and cordial the whole time. 1 Star Food: The food was fantastic. The portions are HUGE! With the 8 of us, we ordered a variety of dishes including pancake, waffles, an omelette, etc.... My wife and I ordered the 1866, which costs (you guessed it, $18.66) and came with enough food to feed 4 people very comfortably. A giant biscuit with gravy. Two large pancakes, a Belgian waffle, 2 eggs of your choice, 2 big slices of toast (your choice of bread, but I highly recommend the sourdough), hashbrowns, and your choice of sausage patties or bacon. Every single item was delicious. Would definitely go back if ever in Granbury again. 2 Stars Overall: Great breakfast spot in Granbury. It being Sunday of Labor Day weekend meant everyone was in town, and it definitely slowed things down. There wasn't a single open table inside or outside. I wasn't sitting down for service, just grabbing things for the road, but I ordered a muffin and an iced Cinnamon Twist. I think I regret ordering the size as big as I did (their grande was like 24 oz iced) because it was quite milky (my fault), but the cinnamon and vanilla were good. The muffin was the true star of the show. It was huge, dense, and fluffy. A much-needed carb and sugar rush after my humid Granbury run. The place is super cute, and I will totally try to go back for brunch next time I visit. The place can feel a little tight when you're trying to order to-go without getting in the way of the staff, other people ordering, and the people dining in, but the place was practically at capacity when I got there. The experience starts with the hostesses who seem to think they are working in a Michelin starred establishment. Then the disappointment moves into the dining experience. Poorly cut steaks, and items you'd find in a Cotton Patch cafe. All at a price point that screams "we are in a hotel in Granbury who thinks it is the Beverly Hilton, just minus the money, service, and accoutrements." The difference being that the restaurants in Beverly Hills actually live up to the expectations, and even they aren't so full of themselves. The experience does not even come close to living up to its price and value proposition. Save yourself the time and drive into Fort Worth or Dallas to dine at a nicer establishment that's worth the money and more in-line with the advertised expectation. This review is on behalf of my mother who refuses to use any form of social media. About a month…read moreago, my parents went on a road trip through parts of Texas they'd not yet explored in their 60 or so years. One stop in Granbury for my dad to look at an old car for sale led my mom to The Pan Handle to shop while he fantasized about purchasing the vehicle. I think by the time my mom left The Pan Handle, she was fantasizing about moving to Granbury. She called me immediately after shopping there to tell me what a great experience she'd had and returned home with a gift for me - a cutting board by the same brand of one I got her last year that she'd broken. While shopping, she told the story of the cutting board's demise to Sara in the store and Sara kindly offered to contact her rep for the brand. He knew nothing about the specific design (a map of the U.K.) but said he'd try to find it in warehouses across the U.S. He did and almost exactly a month later, that cutting board arrived at my mom's door, packaged securely by the Pan Handle with a note signed by Sara. Even I, at 29 years old, know customer service like this is hard to come by and that's why I'm giving 5-stars. Sara knew my mom wasn't from the area and quite possibly might never return to the store, but she did everything she could to make sure my mom had a pleasant experience. Because of this, I think The Pan Handle might have to be a stop on any trips we take "up north" in the future.
