I see a lot of food reels and this place came up one morning with a sweet lady showing off the buffet. I live in the North Dallas area near the high five. 2 months later I left early from work and picked up my buddy and trekked 1 hour and 50 minutes to get there on a Thursday night for their BBQ buffet. It was the best 18.99 I've ever spent. The food was delicious, the buffet and restaurant was very clean. If you are borderline diabetic you may want to get a diet coke, because their sodas are served in 32 oz cups. I must have drank a gallon of root bear. Will have to come back out with my family and friends for ribeye night in the near future. Definitely recommend and worth the drive.

I ordered takeout for lunch and got a patty melt with fries. It did not disappoint. Their food always hits the spot. Every restaurant has their own little spin on a patty melt and I like Chisholm's because it's not too greasy and it's very meaty. If you prefer a lot of grilled onions, go ahead and add extra when you place your order. The only thing that I think could make this better is if they came up with their own special sauce, kind of like they have for their Philly cheesesteak.

We hosted a surprise birthday lunch for my dad at Chisolm's on Sunday 4/12/26 and it was perfect! I made a reservation a week in advance and they had everything ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The food was delicious (all-you-can-eat chicken fried steak, salad bar, sides and dessert)...and they kept the buffet replenished on a busy Sunday. Priscilla took excellent care of our group of 18 guests. She and the entire staff showed us top-notch hospitality and true kindness. Our family and friends are forever grateful. Such a great way to celebrate my amazing dad. Thank you, Chisolm's!

Rolls were really good. The chicken fried chicken was pretty good. They have a buffet with ribeye on Sundays.

I love Chisholms restaurant! This place is the ultimate in small town hospitality! Good food. Great service! Full of locals. Life doesn't get any better The have a wonderful lunch buffet, complete with homemade deserts! If you're anywhere near Godley, this place is totally worth the stop! If your around for breakfast, the biscuits and gravy are the best I have ever had! Jim

I've been wanting to go to Chisholm's for a while. I was finally back out in Texas and made a point to go to Godley and check it out. Even though I made it there near the end of lunch time, the buffet was well stocked, and I was able to get plenty of food. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The food was extremely delicious. I will definitely be back.

The 'chips' however is extremely lacking of any flavor so the second time I subbed them for the mac & cheese. I'm so happy I did as the mac & cheese was delicious. My dinner companion had the fish sandwich with the peanut coleslaw and enjoyed both. We split the Key Lime Pie which was amazing! My lunch companion the second time I visited had the hamburger and enjoyed it immensely. She upgraded the fries to the truffle fries...again the fries were a flop. So really the only complaint about the food so far is their lackluster french fries. Both times I had attentive and friendly servers. We didn't have to wait too long for our food or drinks during each visit. Will definitely visit again.

We have found during peak times, there is usually a long wait so make sure to grab a reservation. We opened up with deviled eggs and calamari. We really enjoyed both. Our entrees were the prime rib dip and the crab cake salad. We highly recommend either of those options. Lastly the Lemon cheesecake was absolutely perfect. I also wanted to get a shout out to Josh for giving great recommendations. Thanks man! Since that first visit, we've been back several times and each experience has been great. Unfortunately it looks like they cycled out the cheesecake (seasonal) but the key-lime pie was also great.

The experience starts with the hostesses who seem to think they are working in a Michelin starred establishment. Then the disappointment moves into the dining experience. Poorly cut steaks, and items you'd find in a Cotton Patch cafe. All at a price point that screams "we are in a hotel in Granbury who thinks it is the Beverly Hilton, just minus the money, service, and accoutrements." The difference being that the restaurants in Beverly Hills actually live up to the expectations, and even they aren't so full of themselves. The experience does not even come close to living up to its price and value proposition. Save yourself the time and drive into Fort Worth or Dallas to dine at a nicer establishment that's worth the money and more in-line with the advertised expectation. They had a few rooms you could reserve for a private party. They offer a brunch menu until 3pm but you can also order off their dinner menu if you so choose. Since this was our first visit we had a difficult time deciding what to have. Our waiter was very accommodating & didn't make any of us feel rushed. For our extremely picky eater the kitchen made adjustments to make sure he had an enjoyable meal. After we made our selections, I feel like our food arrived in a very timely fashion & everyone was very pleased with their selections. Their mustard seed ketchup was interesting to see but very tasty. Even our picky eater thought it was good not that he strayed from the regular ketchup! The only thing we didn't try was their whisky cake because we were too full from our meals. My wife thinks this means we should go back just for appetizers & dessert. Which of course we will plan on soon. All in all it more than deserves 5 stars. And I wish we had taken photos but we were enjoying being with the kids too much to bring our phones out. Definitely put this location on your radar, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all!

Shut up and take my money…read more Impeccable service. Staff was super helpful, over the phone answering queries about wait time and in person. The servers are very knowledgable about the food and drinks and were able to break down the mixology (my husband found a new favorite whiskey). As always, hubby asked for the dairy-based condiments to be left off his dishes, and although he has more of an intolerance than an actual allergy, the server (without being asked) consulted the chef and was able to list every dairy ingredient in every dish, down to the milk powder in the brioche. (You'd be surprised how often the staff just shrugs and has no idea what's in their own food.) I believe no matter what you order, it will be one of the finest examples of that menu item you will ever taste. We had the crab cake appetizer, prime rib and gouda stack, french onion burger, chips, fries, whiskey cake, and cocktails. My husband's old fashioned was the best old fashioned he had ever tasted. He ordered a second. The food was sublime, each menu item was either delicious or outstanding. Whiskey cake is the only item on their dessert menu because it is the only dessert you will need. It is their version of a sticky toffee pudding. It's huge. We were there for a birthday, so we were given the whiskey cake for free. I'd say the margarita was just a margarita, and the water in the fancy jug was definitely gross tap water, but every other food and drink item was perfection. The restaurant is appealing and clean inside. I am glad we were seated in one of the side porch areas where there is sunlight and fewer folks. The interior is quite dark and loud, but nothing outrageous. It's just that style of restaurant. Happy hour is weekdays 3-6, with a small selection of popular drinks for $7.

Jimmie's is tucked just a few blocks from the historic courthouse. It's small and intimate, perfect for a date night, and seating is limited so plan ahead. The four-course meal was excellent. The crab cake with lemon butter sauce was outstanding. I'm not a seafood guy, but this one changed my mind. Melt-in-your-mouth good. The beef filet, ordered medium rare, was perfectly cooked and fork tender. The mashed potatoes were clearly not an afterthought. Heavy cream was involved. Probably some cheese. No complaints there. Jimmie stopped by our table during the meal, and we learned they were celebrating their 7th anniversary. It's not every day the chef checks on your table. That says something.
