Great country cooking. We were there for breakfast and got coffee, Spanish omelet, French toast and eggs. From what we were told they were down a cook when we visited but we were not there for "fast" food we were there for good food. It was not too long a wait and was worth it. My family loves Ells, and today it was just my dad and I that went. We had a long day of work and walked in around 6:45 because their sign said they closed at eight. When we sat down they said they were getting ready to close and that because of that they were only serving burgers. Which was kind of confusing taking into account that they were closing an hour and a half from then. We were very upset because we were looking forward to the great atmosphere and food and the outcome was very disappointing. read more

This place is worth the drive! I was working in the area and came across this lil jewel. They have daily lunch specials, on this particular day it was chicken fried chicken w/ 2 sides for $6.99! I had the greens beans and mashed potatoes & gravy of course and a roll (or cornbread). Food was fresh, made for scratch and service was quick! Oh yeah and when paying out don't forget to grand a $.99 brownie they make daily. read more

Great little joint where there's not much else. We loved the burgers and onion rings, beer battered and served with homemade ranch. We were stuffed but got dessert anyway when she said homemade peach cobbler. It was amazing. My one year old cried when it was gone. I might have to drive out of my way to go back. read more

This place had it all very cute . I only have 2 negative things to say. Need a larger parking lot and more comfortable chairs.That is the worst I can say , the food was great my husband had the shrimp dinner they were huge. Sides were coleslaw, fries which were crisp and not greesy at all and hush puppies. I had chicken strips dinner my sides were fries and mac and cheese which was made with Velveeta which is not to my liking but that is just my preference a lotof people like it that way. The service was quick and friendly and it seemed like they havea lot of regulars , which speaks well of the place. It was well worth the drive we will definitely be returning. read more

Down home nice country restaurant. Service was quick and attentive. I had the hamburger steak with brown gravy, green beans, and mashed potatoes. 2 others had this meal, with different veggies, and they said it was very good and flavorful. 2 others had the fish and shrimp with veggies and they said it was very good. My wife ordered the steak fingers and she said they weren't worth eating, so she didn't bother. Over all a good meal. read more

This little place in Sand Flat between Grandview and Cleburne has awesome burgers made the old-fashioned way, bun on the grill and all. My favorite is the Eastwood with a 1/3 lb. patty, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, and cheddar. The other menus items taste like they come frozen, and aren't bad but not great either. Best. Burgers. Ever! Even if you're not hungry you'll eat every bit of the food they bring you. The sweet potato fries are my favorite! It's hard to find really good sweet potato fries but theirs are amazing. The people are always nice and we always see all of our neighbors out there too! Next on my list is the chicken fried steak!
