Whenever someone is looking for movers, I recommend BCb. I just came to Yelp to get their info to give to another friend and could not find the review I thought I had written - obviously, I never wrote it! Apologies BCb! Anyway, if you need movers, their prices are fair, their information was excellent. Money was tight and they told me the best way to stay in budget while moving things. I HIGHLY recommend them! And will be calling them again!

Thanks to these guys they helped me overcome my issues. From the very beginning I called them they assured me of stress free service and delivered what they promised. Communication and booking were very easy. The movers came on time, I was still finishing up packing of my stuff. The guys told me to 'seat back and relax, we'll do packing for you'. So long story short: I received my things at my new place as I scheduled them to be delivered - on time, safe and sound, no damage! Thank you, guys, you are the best!

One had a mask around his neck, and the rest of the two movers didn't have them. When I informed them politely that Cambridge has a law that requires you to wear face masks in public places, such as the apartment building lobby they were standing in, all three pulled out masks from their pockets. I said great, please put them on. They did and walked to the elevator, then took them off. WTF? I say nothing, and when we got to our apartment on the ninth floor, I asked them again to put them on, this time a little annoyed since they don't seem to be taking this seriously at all. They said they can't put them on since moving is cardio-intensive and putting on a mask will hinder their work. Well, excuse me, there's a f**king pandemic going on and they are refusing to wear a mask inside my home? I had no other choice but to turn a blind eye since we were leaving from Boston to California that day and we had no other choice. The "quality assurance" guy reached out to me when we got to California and I informed him about my displeasure on the mask situation, and then I NEVER heard back from him, until I told him I was going to write this review. He called and said "they did not want to be defamed on the internet". lol. My pet food storage box, trash can, and some small items had dents when they got here, so I won't comment on the moving services. But please don't consider Long Distance Movers, please, for your OWN HEALTH'S SAKE.

When the moving company I'd booked flaked on me, I called Nova last-minute for an August 30-Sept 1 move date -- an extremely busy time in a big college town -- and they were not only able to accommodate, the movers were professional, reliable, communicative, careful, and kind from start to finish. My move was stressful (I was still packing, my senile landlady yelling at everybody...) and they were relaxed and diligently working throughout. Such a relief.

David (the owner) was…read morevery responsive and got in touch with me very quickly, I was a little worried because I have a sleeper sofa that is heavy and bulky and needed to go from a 1st floor to a 3rd floor in Somerville's houses with no elevators. . I'm going to split this review in 2 parts: getting a quote and setting move, actual move. GETTING A QUOTE: David was good at understanding my needs and providing with a quote, it's a local business so don't expect a sales person, confirmation emails or any of that. With that said, David is very professional and he made sure all my questions were answered. DAY OF THE MOVE: It didn't start well, David calls me at the agreed time to tell me that he is having issues with his driver and can't make it. I got worried BUT he was very friendly and apologetic, offering me a couple of options a) re schedule for next day or b) wait for his call and reschedule for later that day. I couldn't make it another day so we agreed on rescheduling for later that day. An hour before the rescheduled time David calls me to confirm and tells me that he'll send me 3 guys for the price of 2 to make up for the morning issue (Customer Service! I would give him 6 starts if I could) The crew showed up 30 minutes late but kept phone communication with me at all times (I knew why they were going to be late), professional and friendly guys. The move was tricky with large size furniture but those guys were very professional, made sure that nothing was damaged and tried to go as quickly as they could. At destination they managed to get my sleeper sofa and up to a 3rd floor (with narrow hallways) with no damage to the property or my sofa. I had a large IKEA dresser that sadly could not be brought up the stairs; AGAIN David and his guys did not leave me hanging, for a very small fee they disposed of the dresser. I hope I won't have to move in a long time but if I need to I'll call these guys again

My review should fall into two parts:…read more 1) I used this company by way of a friend's glowing recommendation in 2011 and I also used and loved them. Communication was great, they were timely, efficient, honest, and didn't complain. I thought they were the best movers and saved their contact info for when the time would come again nearly 9 years later. 2) Here we are in 2020 and I thought I was all set. We spoke twice about the details of the move and made a booking with the date/place/time to start. I thought there would be a follow-up call in the few days prior so I went ahead and left a voice mail and text to ask a few questions and confirm the details. No response. I started to get worried. The morning time slot came and went with no acknowledgement of a delay or cancel. Nothing. I want to reiterate that I went with this company again out of a sense of trust and to have a good repeat experience because moving is literally one of life's biggest stressors and I found someone I wanted to come back to. We had packed everything, boxed labeled, bubble wrapped, only to have radio silence. It's disappointing not to have any follow through and I'm left wondering what happened? Now I am also left scrambling to find a plan B. It is a shame to lose trust without a single explanation as to WHY.

As I told them I moved the safe in myself, and I wasn't going to move it out myself as it was about 600 lbs and I barely got it in myself. The three of them made it look easy moving it out and did an excellent job in the process. They made absolutely certain that my safe was secure during the entire process, they wrapped the entire safe as well as the door to make sure the electronics didn't get damaged at all. And then at the end of the move they made certain that the safe opened and closed as it should properly. My parents used Kilroy Brother's moving a little over 30 years ago, and they did a great job then. I can say they continue to do a great job now. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move. I have no intentions to move out of my house that I just purchased anytime soon, but I can say when the time does come for me to move, I will definitely be contacting Kilroy to move not only my safe but also my entire house. They were very reasonable in the pricing, and I shopped around prior to selecting a company to move my safe. They were very responsive when I reached out to them as well. I personally spoke with the owner prior to the move to find out what information they needed and when I told him the weight of the safe he didn't hesitate to say that they could move it and didn't upcharge me like other companies did because it was "over weight." While I do agree it was certainly very heavy, I don't' think that it was too unreasonable to ask to have professional's move. As I said, I truly can't say enough good things about Tim, Wayne, and Jasyin and Kilroy Bothers as a whole. The three of them did a great job, and I'll definitely be contacting them again when the time comes again for another move.

The attic is only accessible through a cut out in the upstairs hallway with a drop-down ladder, and you have to crawl around on your hands and knees to get to stuff.
