They arrived late and didn't take accountability for arriving late. They were like, "who said we are late?". And they didn't even communicate their ETA to us. 2. No one answered the phone , the morning that our moving service was scheduled and no one reached out to us on when they would arrive. Their contract states that they would reach out with their ETA and no one did. 3. Some of our larger items were bent or broken. 4. Because they were late, they ended late in the day so we weren't able to inspect our items until the next day. 5. Customer service takes ZERO accountability. 6. We agreed with AOA on moving items out of our garage but the day of the moving, their team refused to move it and said that it would void their insurance to move these items (lawn mower, garden supplies, etc). Soooooo we had to hire another moving company the same day and get charged the extra rate for late night and expedited moving services which is expensive. We politely reached out to the company and shared our experience and nothing was done but the company giving us all of these new reasons and excuses for the service. Side note: upon arrival to our house, they were driving fast on our road and damaged our neighbors property.

Even though I'd paid for three. Didn't have time to finish the move and left me with a half-full uhaul. Owner refused to answer calls from me and his employees when it was time to go. Next day he told me he'd get someone out to help. Waited all day with no further contact. Called many times with little to no response. He became combative when he finally fessed up that he wasn't sending anyone. One of the movers smelled of marijuana and even left his marijuana package behind. Owner called me a liar when I pointed this out. Pictures prove him wrong. Overall it felt like teenagers with a lawn mowing business. Total rip-off. His own employee didn't seem to think him missing an appointment was abnormal

What happened over the next week and a half was discouraging. I told them that I had a very restricted schedule (because I am a teacher). I cannot leave classes just because I have movers coming over. We tried to find a time, but it was hard. Eventually I asked my boss for a favor so I could get a time that would work. He let me out of a faculty meeting. This was a big favor. I worked hard to meet these movers halfway! But then on the day of the move, the movers called to say "Hey, we're done early today. Can we come to your place now?" It was TWO HOURS BEFORE THE AGREED TIME! I had to teach my class! What the hell? Who do these people think they are? I should leave work two hours earlier than OUR AGREED TIME just because it was MORE CONVENIENT FOR THE MOVERS? I tried to reach the dispatcher, Judy. I called her twice, but she didn't pick up. She claimed that she called me twice, but my phone said she hadn't. My phone ALWAYS picks up the missed calls. Her movers were certainly able to reach me via the same number. Judy said that she COULDN'T SEND THE MOVERS AT THE AGREED TIME BECAUSE SHE "DIDN'T WANT THEM WAITING AROUND FOR TWO HOURS." She said that over EMAIL. WHY ARE HER SCHEDULING ISSUES MY PROBLEM? It is not my problem! A DEAL IS A DEALl! I CALLED IN A FAVOR FROM MY BOSS SO I COULD BE THERE AT A TIME CONVENIENT FOR THE MOVERS, AND THEN THEY DON'T SHOW UP??? Too bad, favor wasted, because YOUR MOVE MOVERS DIDN'T WANT TO DO THEIR JOBS. When I talked to Judy on the phone, to her credit, she apologized tepidly. But she also said that nothing could be done about it. She made it seem like SHE was doing ME a favor by agreeing for such a late move time (4pm to 5pm). "Movers start early. The work hard and they finish early." She said she worked really hard to find a time for me, she really did me a favor. Great, that would have been nice IF THEY HAD SHOWN UP. You said 4-5PM, BE THERE AT 4-5PM! AND DON'T ACT LIKE YOU ARE _DOING_ME_A_FAVOR_BY_DOING_YOUR_JOB! Who do these people think they are? I cancelled my order. I will not be using them. I will be using someone else. This is flabbergasting, unacceptable. I can't hand over money to people who do such a miserable job with their customer service. Use someone else, someone who actually cares about their customers. Judy lost my sale, and broke a promise just because she can't schedule properly and because she didn't want to have her movers "sitting around for two hours" because she didn't have anything scheduled for them. Maybe she saved money by doing that, but she made me a furious fucking customer. I will make sure none of my friends ever use this service. Nice job, guys.

Also they are a reasonably priced, small, local business, and this shows through in my interactions with the owner and his employees, which is a very good thing. I could not ask for a better experience! I am reviewing them now, before an upcoming move, because I am a jerk who promised them a great review after my last move and forgot to do it.

I really liked that they came in person before the move to assess what needed to happen, and had a great crew get the move done. They were very friendly and efficient. Amazingly, they finished the job ahead of schedule. They even put back together all of our furniture and helped us get all of our basement stuff back into a basement and placed on the shelves we built. For those of you who are thinking of using them for a piano, they were so careful that it didn't lose its tune when it got to our new place. Not a scratch! They deserve more than 5 stars! They never showed up or called me to tell me they were running late etc. So I called them and asked if they were coming. The guy who answered couldn't believe the estimator hadn't showed up and told me that he would call me right back. Well, the estimator called me back and gave me some lame excuse as to why he didn't show up (no apology...and if there was a reason he couldn't show up, common courtesy is you CALL THE CUSTOMER!) Still, he asks if we can reschedule for an hour later. I hesitantly agreed. Fast forward to when he is supposed to come the second time. He still isn't here 20 minutes after the agreed upon time. Still NO CALL. So I called the company to cancel and he actually answered. I said "Well, you didn't show up a second time so I'm not using your company." He said "Well, I'm only like 5 minutes away but if you want to cancel, ok" I don't think he was only 5 minutes away! So...they won't be getting my business. And too bad for them because it would have been a lucrative one.
