I LOVE THESE GUYS. That's a funny thing to say about a junk removal/moving company but we really do. Ken and his crew did two major junk sweeps of our old house, and even re-organized and swept the shed so that the house would show well while they were clearing that out, which was amazing. Then they helped us move - out of the house but also out of a storage unit that we had - and when I say these guys know how to do everything, they know how to do EVERYTHING. And they were so nice. And nothing was a problem. And they sincerely want to make sure that we as the customers were completely satisfied with the job - for instance, during the move, we had to remove the feet from the couches in order to get them out of the house and into the other. As things do, the feet got lost in the shuffle and we couldn't find them before the end of the day. This was not a big deal - we figured they would turn up at some point and weren't particularly worried about it, but Ken said no, they could take better care of us than that, and so the next morning, two of the guys showed up at our new house, ON A SUNDAY, and went through boxes with us until we found the feet and they put the couches back together. Called Ken at 9:30 on a Thursday Night and told him that our house closing the next morning was at risk because the movers left this 'n that all over the place and that they refused to close until all remaining "stuff" was out of the house, and the items left for municipal pickup on the curb were gone. He was very calming and reassuring and told me he had our back. At 9:00 the next morning the crew arrived. Professional, articulate and ready to do whatever it took to get it done. This included very large appliance, shelf, and moving residue removal. They even delivered a mistakenly-left bike to the new residence without hesitation or any attitude whatsoever. I think the buyer was playing some games waiting to ambush late into the evening the night before, figuring that we'd never make it, but with the incredible crew, one of whom I believe is a linear relative of Superman, the whole job was done in about 90 minutes, which was 90 minutes before the closing deadline. Cannot recommend these guys enough! They can and WILL get it done. read more

This really is as good as it gets for rubbish removal. My relative was evicted and had an apartment full of furniture. They came by, gave me an estimate and promised me they'd be there on the eviction date. Well, they were arrived right when they said they'd be there. There were two movers plus their manager. They swiftly got the junk (bed, two sofas, bureau, TVs and everything else onto their truck. Oh, and I surprised them with a 500 LB wheelchair that had to be removed which was not accounted for in the original estimate. They managed to get all of this moved into their truck in about an hour. They took the motorized wheelchair (it did add to the final cost which I gladly paid), too, even though it was not in the original estimate. The manager and the two movers were totally professional and courteous. I really don't think you can do better. read more

After my mother died, I was tasked with clearing out my mom's house and get ready for the market. My realtor suggested I call Ken. It was a big job and I was overwhelmed. Ken stopped over and gave me an estimate. His pricing was fair and I found him to be very professional. It was an extremely difficult time for me and Ken and his guys totally took the stress away. They were very efficient and friendly. They went over and beyond their job to help me move several heavy items from one room to another, took the heavy recycling bin down the long driveway, emptied all the outdoor planters, reorganized and swept out the garage. Junk Removal is fabulous! On time, have logos on shirts/jackets, professional, efficient---aware of not damaging walls or art on the walls or other furniture during removal. I have used them twice---once for two compact loads in our freight elevator (even demolished huge old built in cabinet and disposed of) and most recently for clearing out stuff from my art studio to make more room, items that do not fit in the building trash room barrels. They have prices for any size job, no matter how small or big. I sent them (Ken) photos of the junk and dimensions and got a quote via email. I bought a large, heavy item in an online auction and needed to find movers who could pick it up and transport it to my house. The trick was it needed to be done within a two hour window the very next day. This was a straight moving job - no junk removal required. I found Lifetime on Craig's List and was surprised and delighted by how promptly I heard back from Ken, who confirmed he could do the job and gave me a reasonable estimate which stayed firm until the work was done. He sent two great guys who were strong and paid attention to detail making sure they didn't do any damage to the item they were picking up or my floors when they moved it in the house. After being "stood up" by a nationally franchised junk removal service on the arranged day of service, Ken saved the day. He was polite, courteous and very understanding of our predicament, grown children who had come from out of state to empty their mother's home. He sent his crew that day. John and Jose were equally polite and courteous, and this despite having to empty a three story walk-up! The estimate Ken provided was 1/2 of that quoted by the nationally franchised junk removal service, but his and his employees' service was twice that of their competitor (who had been used on another job). Very professional over the phone, Ken claimed he could beat competitor 1-800-GOT-JUNK price by 20% with a better price structure. According to him, former 1-800 employees say there's no price structure over there. I gave 1-800 a call and got their HQ in Toronto, Canada, not very cool, plus it sounded like 1-800 would be too expensive. Ken said to text a photo for a quote (an option 1-800 did not give me) and his replies back were very prompt. They gave me a great deal, we arranged next-day junk removal based on the pics, and his guys were super speedy and done within 10 minutes. Ive used Junk Removal Inc. on several occasions...always reliable, hard working and very reasonably priced. Two guys lugged several heavy pieces of furniture up 5 flights of stairs (no elevator). Ken and his crew were great. They arrived 10 minutes early and got straight to work. Everything went smoothly. If they weren't sure about something, they asked instead of winging it. The crew knew how to pack a truck. The move in was done in 3 1/2 hours. We didn't have any damage. They were very patient as I attempted to decide where certain pieces should go. Absolutely fantastic! Ken was great to work with and very attentive to the job at hand. His crew arrived an hour early and immediately got to work loading the huge truck. They also helped me by moving a recliner chair from upstairs to downstairs. A big plus for me as an owner of pets, they were very cautious of the possibility of my cat getting out while the door was wide open. The initial barking of dogs in crates did not bother them at all. Needed some things removed from my home. Joey was very responsive and scheduled a site visit the next day...when he came he was friendly, professional and offered a very fair price. He was happy to schedule the pick-up two weeks later on an exact date and an exact time. Couldnt ask for more. The guys who came to pick up were great. Even though it was FRIGID out, they still had smiles, did what they needed to do - and asked if there was anything else we needed done. Again, couldnt ask for more.
