They truly lived up to the name of the company - they were very efficient - and they paid great attention to detail. They were very careful to make sure every piece of furniture was exactly where I wanted it before they left, and anything they took apart to move was in at least as good of shape again afterwards and some things were even better (they fixed a built-in gate for us as they were putting it back on after having removed it, etc.) I would definitely use them again!

The owner is professional, communicative, and understanding. I had to change my dates more than five times due to issues with the seller's lack of follow through. Even though I did this, the owner remained patient with me and very accommodating. Tommy, Sid, and Salem were absolute machines- the company name made sense once I saw them in action. We were in a 3rd floor condo in Wakefield and moved to a ranch in Georgetown. The 3 floors didn't matter- they were so fast, efficient, and definitely strong to move as much as they did. Since our closing was very last minute we didn't get the chance to box everything so they did that for us when necessary. They have boxes for closets so you don't have to take clothes out of there at all. They moved a huge treadmill, King bed, Queen bed, couch, heavy tv stand/fireplace, and so much more! The attic is only accessible through a cut out in the upstairs hallway with a drop-down ladder, and you have to crawl around on your hands and knees to get to stuff. It was also pretty hot up there today. Despite these difficulties, they worked diligently and got the job done in the time we had planned, plus a sofa and a gas grill moved to the dumpster to boot. But not only did they do a great job, but they were also extremely nice to work with. Very responsive . Once from Boston to Northern New Jersey (Spring 2015) and then again from Northern NJ to Western Massachusetts (late Spring 2018). In both moves The Other Guys has been nothing but efficient, cost-effective, kind, helpful, caring, and flexible. Jane in the office rocks! Their email response time is second to none. Plus, she fields and fielded so many last moment changes in the move from Boston to NJ, she deserves a medal. I recently needed additional documentation to have my employer cove some costs and all materials were sent over immediately, even though my move was a while ago. In the most recent Northern NJ to Western MA, happened very fast and had a tight timeline. Julius and his team were able to help. I did not think they would even be interested in a move that required them to start in NJ, but thankfully, they were. Their quote was spot on and thorough, included toll estimates, mileage, materials, time, and more. Many other companies left out tolls and materials fees. Plus, it was much cheaper than some options in NJ (those NJ movers were BANANAS). They kept me updated the way down to NJ and throughout the drive north. When we got to the final destination in Western Mass, Julius made sure we saw the scratches on the hardwood, right under where we were placing our bed, left by previous tenants to ensure our landlord did not charge us. Each move, I had nothing damaged and everything was handled with great care and respect. I cannot recommend this company enough.

The crew that packed & cleaned out our home left huge holes in walls, broke furniture, & left a significant amount of furniture & belongings behind. Taran (the supervisor) was informed by the lead for the crew & did nothing to pro active correct the issues - instead choosing to ignore it & be annoyed when we discovered it. Move in day was slightly better however even after personally speaking with the owner, Paul, about our experience, they knowingly delivered furniture broken beyond repair & simply said nothing. Picture frames were broken, scratches left in things. The owner Paul displayed severely unethical practices when he literally delivered an unusable desk to me & acknowledged to us that he was aware it was beyond repair. Yet chose to have his crew wrap it up & deliver it without a word. A pack of true Vikings would have done a better job.
