This distillery is absolutely the coolest concept bar in my area. They switch up the theme every quarter/season or so. By this I mean an entire menu, glassware, and interior design makeover. It's impressive to say the least. I have only been to three concept so far: Haunted Weiss, Wild Weiss, and the current theme Miami Weiss. Parking is all street and is mostly, if not entirely, free in Clawson. I would recommend reservations, but I'm a fly by the seat of my pants gal. Walking in near opening at 5 has always yielded good results. I have only come here for drinks, but I feel like they do have some light food on the menu. Or used to. They do have a popcorn machine and will serve you bowl after bowl. You'll need it with their yummy cocktails. This team is a well oiled machine. Everyone behind the bar works together to give you the best experience. Tina, our bartender, was super nice and dressed to kill in her sweet sunnies and animal print jumper. I stuck with rum based drinks and was pleased with the Broken Yari and Cafe Con Ron. Unique, well balanced, and flavorful. Weiss makes all the booze they will serve you, so these drinks can't be had anywhere else. They have mocktails too. You will not be disappointed! It's not gimmicky or cheesy. It's like going to the best party where no detail was overlooked.

Weiss Distilling is a fun spot that has started doing a lot of pop ups over the past year. This time it was Miami Weiss. They did a great job and transforming everything back to 80s Miami! We had a blast and can't wait to check out the Halloween pop up. I do recommend reservations as it gets busy!!!!

We were able to check out the last few days of the summer theme, Miami Weiss. So freaking cool. Everything we had was delicious! So many cocktails to pick from. Amazing prices too!! All the bartenders were serving, so you never waited long for anything. The "Thank you for being a friend" was a key lime pie cheesecake type cocktail with a little piece of cheesecake as a garnish. So good! The atmosphere and vibe is so chill. Can't wait to come back to check out the Halloween set up!

I went here during their Halloweiss and the designs were insane!!! I recommend making a reservation for this ahead of time because my wait was 2 hours. Their drinks were really good but their apps that they served were kind of pricey.

Great drinks! Cozy vibes with a unique ambiance. We liked it so much we have gone back after our initial visit. We're looking forward to going back for their new menu.

The drinks here are absolutely amazing and so fun to look at and taste. They do a different theme every season and even allow you to purchase the cute cups that the drinks come in! The environment is very dimly lit but they do an extraordinary job with their decor. It is very difficult to get a reservation and people book months in advance. You are able to walk in but the seating is very limited. The service is nice and timely. The reason I give it a 4/5 is I wish they had more food options and more seating/availability.

I've been here several times and included collection of drinks and decor. I love how the drinks and decor changes throughout the year. The popcorn is a constant and delicious! Staff is friendly and helpful. Drinks all custom crafted in restaurant. Difficult to get a table reservation and they aren't bad about getting you in at the bar. If you're in the are, definitely drop in and put your name in so after dinner you can have a cocktail after. When there in November- had a "waiting" area upstairs with popcorn, premade cocktails, and you can watch a movie. This was a nice start to our evening as we waited for our table to eat and then get into the mail bar downstairs.

Recently visited Weiss on a Saturday night with my cousins and it was such an amazing experience! The service was attentive, the drinks were great (The Midnight Rider was probably the best espresso martini I've ever had!), and the rotating theme was so much fun! Highly recommend trying this place out, but be sure to grab a reservation as the place was packed!

Such a fun night! Weiss really out did their self! This evening we enjoyed Honky Tonk Weiss! The entire place was turned into a saloon with all the decor and amazing cocktails!

We stopped by on whim last Thursday night. You can make reservations ahead of time but we didn't since we saw they had a ton of reservation times left for 7/8. You're greeted at the door by a host and she took us to the bar through the back of the elevator. My friend who lives in Clawson told me they will change up the drinks and theme for a new pop every so often. The theme we got was Miami Vice aka Miami Weiss. The drinkware was adorable and the drinks were pretty good. They have free popcorn that they just kept refilling for us. The music was a good mix of old pop hits and new pop hits. You exit through as separate door into an adjacent courtyard.

I've had my eye on this place for a while, but it is TOUGH to get into. I had to make reservations for December back in October. It's a very, very cool spot. We ordered a few drinks from the special menu, and we loved each of them! Will be back soon!

Weiss has quickly become one of my favorite cocktail bars in all of metro Detroit. I won't focus too much on any one specific drink as they change their menu (and entire decor!) seasonally, but everything I've had has ranged from decent to absolutely delicious. More on ambiance: feels like a great spot for a date but also a cool place to hang out with a group of friends. It's small yet intimate, and the seasonal themes are fun -- current theme is "Miami Weiss" and it definitely gave some tropical vibes. Service is always friendly and on the quicker side for a craft cocktail bar. I also like that they make actual recommendations rather than give vague "oh I like both of those" type of answers.

This was my first time coming here and it wasn't bad, but didn't stand out either. They do make some really impressive drinks that are well thought out and delicious. The bartenders clearly know what they're doing. That said, the ambiance wasn't quite my style. The space felt a bit too small and dimly lit. The layout made it feel somewhat cramped. If you're mainly focused on quality drinks, it's definitely worth a visit. If you're looking for a more open or relaxed atmosphere, it might not be the best fit.

They were just opening up, but they let us sit at the bar while they got the restaurant ready for dinner. We all got drinks at the bar. I got The Final Rose drink. its's very pretty and not too strong. After sipping on the drinks, the host brought us to our table. Chris was our server that day. He was super friendly and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. Here's what we got: - Michigan lamb ragu (his) - Lobster and shrimp pad thai (mine) - Crab and shrimp cakes (share) - clam chowder (share) His family got some of the same items, but I can't remember the different items they got. The overall consensus though was that everything tasted fantastic. Coming from the Bay Area, I have high expectations when it comes to Asian food, so I was pleasantly surprised by how great the pad thai tasted. The clam chowder was creamy and delightful. The crab cakes were the perfect size and not teeny tiny. The lamb ragu was very well done also and my husband is a big fan of lamb so he really enjoyed his meal. Since we were there early, it was quiet which was nice. Would definitely return in the future the next time I am in Michigan.

A hostess who takes your money and gives you a bracelet, automated beer, and you use your phone to order from the kitchen, they text you and you go get your food. I wondered many times how they could serve alcohol and not monitor how much people were drinking? So I asked. The host is in the front said at the end of 32 oz is your bracelet will not work and you need to come up and see me to reset it. I guess that's how they would monitor whether or not someone could get another 32 oz? I'm surprised not more places have copied their business layout. With the new generation, this would be the place to go, you barely have to speak to anyone except for the people you're with.

Upon entering, the staffer explained the set-up to enjoy a variety of beers, poured and priced by the volume. Located at the back of the restaurant, customers can select beer flavors and serve themselves, no bartender needed. A tab is started and charged based on usage, tracked through the wristband provided to you. I ordered over mobile via a QR code, selecting pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip and a large, Detroit-style pizza. The soft pretzels were tender with a lovely crusty exterior. I inhaled the first pretzel since it was past lunchtime, savoring the salty, cheesy bites. I must admit, the pretzels' saltiness temporarily affected my taste buds because the pizza had little flavor, even with the pepperoni, sausage, and olives. I definitely did not taste the hot honey drizzle. I want to praise the light, airy crust. For a deep dish pizza, it did not sit heavy in my tummy. I also appreciated that the pizza was served on a rack, to allow air circulation and to prevent sogginess. The space was dark and had both large communal tables and smaller, intimate tables. This allowed for larger groups to enjoy community beyond a friend group. The other plus is the board games that are available to pass the time while enjoying various beers.
