    Cocktails from fall 2024
    Laura D.

I still really like this place and visit somewhat often, but I do wish they would work on the COSMO!! I've ordered it several times now because I hope to death they finally have perfected it and it's always COMPLETELY different and not good. I've had it taste like candy and the this most recent trip it straight up tasted like cold day old lime juice and was more brown than pink. This drink is really good when made well, y'all. Please please please please work on the Cosmo.

All traffic walk through The kitchen area if you enter this venue from the back. Not sure how I feel about this. It was closed so I don't witness how this works. Pictured is their house wine. I sat at the bar and the vibe was pretty chilled.

Happy hour menu..build your own charcuterie or try a flatbread.

First time visit, surprised that it was during happy hour. Let me explain the reason for only 4 stars is they penalize you for using credit cards and add 4% to your bill. We started with sharing flight of 3 white wines, house pinot grigo, chardonnay and new Zealand sauvignon blanc., $15. We then tried flight of reds, house merlot, cabernet and Bonanza red. Love thier Oddball flatbread, apples, sage, gouda, fig...soooo good. Loved the Bonanza wine and bought 2 bottles to the home...another pleasant surprise rather than the $28/bottle they were half off due to happy hour. They have comfortable seating areas, but we sat at the bar and got educated on different mixed drinks and the use of adding smoke to certain concoctions. Definitely will return.

This fantastic gem of a wine bar, located in downtown SCS, is a cozy, relaxed, intimate atmosphere for a pre-dinner sip or night cap and boasts some of the most delicious cocktails I've EVER tasted! The Garden of Eden and Ghost Hunter were phenomenal and the guys loved the smoked old-fashioned. Of course they also have a very nice wine selection, I loved my glass of Pinot Noir! The bartenders and waitstaff were so busy but made sure to take care of us and make every drink exceptional. Our server approached us and said the owner would like to buy us a drink.. he happened to be sitting with his friends at our table the entire time! We chatted with them while listening to the wonderful live music! It was such a fun experience, I can't wait to come back! They serve flatbread and charcuterie options Wed-Fri and also have pop-up food truck events- check their Facebook page for current events!

OMG!!!!! Wow, what a find in SCS. I had plans to meet up with a friend and head downtown . Recently, I've been spending most of my free time in SCS. I drove by this cocktail bar a few weeks ago and made mental note to check it out. Cache has only been open for 5 weeks and to be honest, one would completely miss this spot driving by and that would be a mishap because Cache might be my new favorite hangout. The interior is simple and chic with multiple seating areas arranged with couches and cozy chairs to lounge. The bar is fantastic with plenty of seating. I love the modern, cozy built in fireplace. Let's get to the highlight of my experience...the COCKTAILS! I was so impressed with the extensive list of cocktails & spirits. I decided on the Cache 71, a twist on the French 75, and I think I'm in love with this drink! My friend ordered a St. Clair Shores sour and he seemed to really enjoy his drink, too. The cocktails are on the pricey side, so be prepared for city prices with your craft creation. We didn't have time to stay as we were heading to our next spot, but we do plan to come back and check out the amazing charcuterie boards being served. I'm serious, these boards were over the top and you're able to choose your meats & cheeses. I love this personalized option for the cheese lover in me. I'm even told that one of the owners makes an amazing pie to be served on the side. I can't end this review without mentioning the bartenders. These guys were amazing and so personable. I will most certainly be back and if you're in the area, this is a must stop. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Great, fun place!!! I was there for a Yelp Event and had a great time. But I will definitely be going back. An extensive selection of alcohol. I was there for a whisky class sponsored by Yelp Joe and Bryon, you guys are fantastic bartenders that obviously love what you do and it shows. The cocktails were wonderful! They have wine here, too but we were there for whiskey. They also serve charcuterie...it was fresh and a nice selection. You guys have new customers in us for sure and we'll bring friends

I love this cocktail bar right in my hometown. I don't go very often but when I do I love every cocktail I get. They are made with passion. I love that the menu changes seasonally with a lot of creativity. This most recent visit I got the Candy land 1000/10 I could drink this every day. And my husband got the blue buddy old fashioned I think that's what it was called. Well he really enjoyed that drink as well. If the menu isn't calling to you, the incredible bartenders can always fix something to your liking. I highly recommend this place. Also they do have non alcoholic options as well!

I'm a fancy girl who like fancy things and places. I don't think there is anything else like it in SCS. If you are a wine drinker this is the place. The wine list is unique and interesting. You won't find the standards on Cache's wine list but you won't be disappointed either. Great date night spot or girls night out.

I am often working in this area, so when I was looking for a cocktail, yelp came to the rescue! This is an area I frequent often, so I was surprised that I never noticed this cute cocktail bar! I parked in the back and wasn't at all sure what to expect. The back didn't indicate what a cool spot this was! I was so surprised to see how charming this place was! I got here just as they opened and was the only customer. The Bartender, Shay, was amazing! And my drinks?? They were absolutely incredible!!!! During the summer months, they close the street down and you can walk around with drinks. They put tables outside during those days. They also do a lot of themed promotions in the winter. I got to speak to the owner, and got a sneak peek at some of the changes that are coming soon! This place will look marvelous! Definitely check this cocktail bar out. I will be here more often now that I know about them. Fantastic!!!

I actually learned about this Cocktail and Wine Bar through Yelp, as this was a place I was interested in trying after it was posted for an event that Yelp was hosting a couple of weeks ago. My friends and I decided to try it out yesterday evening after work, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The ambiance, the vibe! I liked the intimacy of the bar. My friends and I wanted drinks before going out to eat. All of us were pleased with our cocktails! Very good! And we also enjoyed the Charcuterie board (we just added a few items: salami, caramelized pecans and aged Gouda). This would be a nice place for a small group for a birthday party (if they allow food); or couples night out, or ladies night out! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and it's a nice location as well. I will definitely go back for more drinks and having fun!

    Yummy cocktail with bitter foam!

Had a really good time here for after work happy hour. My friends and I all enjoyed our cocktails and we got some aged Gouda and olives to share. The ambience is really nice and it's very relaxing. Looking forward to going back

This is a great establishment. The bartenders are friendly and engaging. After talking to one, that is the vibe they are going for - one where they interact with customers as they make drinks. I learned the history behind each of the drinks we tried, and they offered stuff suggestions for which brand to use for the cocktails that said "your choice of gin". Don't let the casual looking storefront fool you, this place is classy yet cozy with great vibes.

    David K.

Very comfortable and contemporary environs, more of a swank living room vibe than a typical dark and woody bar. Experienced professional servers, easy parking, near 9 mile road.

Never been there, how are the drinks and variety of drinks? Also wondering if you have a drink menu online? Thanks for the quick response so far, great job. It shows me that you care about the customer and I have yet to visit your establishment.

There are many pages of spirits and many pages of cocktails! Huge variety!

Nate and I stopped in on our most recent visit to Detroit and had a lovely experience. The space is tucked away but had a surprising amount of outdoor space--we were there in January but I'd love to come back in the summer. We were greeted right away and given a spot near the bar. The menu includes cocktails, lots of wine, and several tasty food options. It was quite busy inside, so it took a bit of time for our server to come over to us, but we weren't in a rush. They had ten cocktails on their list and I tried the bullet proof soul and Nate got the negroni alla perra. The ingredients list for some of the cocktails include things I've never heard of, but at a place like this, I just know it's going to be good. Our drinks were perfectly balanced and very tasty. We also ordered the mortadella sandwich to split--this was delicious. It was pretty messy, but worth it. It was perfectly toasted and full of mortadella. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I would love to try more of the food options. Can't wait to visit again!

There's artwork, a skatepark, renovated houses, gardens and a church that is now an art gallery. We stopped in to check it out and sat at the bar for a cocktail and snack. The waitstaff were super helpful in explaining everything and we finally picked 2 apps and got drinks. Both were amazing. There were friendly patrons all around and we chatted with other bar admirers. We checked out the coffee shop, Warda, but didn't purchase anything then, but have had several of their desserts since then and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is wonderful, indoor/outdoor bar, great outside seating - not sure how this will work in the winter? They also have very pretty stone paths with multicolor stones mixed in for a very peaceful beautiful look. It inspired me to add some multicolored stones to my garden! I can't wait to return.

The second time we went it was sooo slow. It took at least 15 min to get menus once we were seated and took about 45 min to get the food once the server came back to take our orders, which also took a while. It was 2pm on a Friday, and other than what looked like a wrapping up work lunch (they had checks and boxes for leftovers when we were seated) there were only 2 tables of guests, so the delay was not due to it being busy. That day I got a side salad and a chicken wrap. The salad was very good aside from coming with an item I asked to take off. I did ask for no tomato, as you can see in the pic, they were added. I didnt get pictures of the wrap, but it was very meh. I would not order it again. I did not like the BBQ sauce that was used. Very overly sweet and not a good flavor. I also found there to not be a ton of chicken, it was like a second salad... TONS of romaine. I believe the wrap was called Lakehouse Chicken Wrap. Side note. We were seated near open windows and the construction was. Abit loud, which was ignorable, however! there was a phone on the server station that was ringing CONSTANTLY. I have no clue what that was about, but it was so annoying. We did alert a server but nothing was done about it. Overall, I would go back but maybe just for apps and drinks. The drinks was well made and they had a decent beer selection as well. The look of the bar is nice and I hope they can stay open longer than some of the other places that have been there!

I can't even believe they sent it out and no one checked it. It was black. Hard to bite through. I had a piece, others tried. Everyone said the same thing and took a few bites and couldn't even get through a piece. We threw it out. You could tell the ingredients used were fantastic in quality. It was terrible though. I expected a little delay on the food because of the crowd but not a 45-minute wait. Geez! Our server was nice, no complaints there. The vibe? Full-on sports bar. TVs everywhere. Definitely a solid spot to catch a game or pull up with a group. The menu is pretty large too, so you have options. Let's get into the food: I ordered the Dox Burger on a gluten-free bun and upgraded to fries instead of the house chips. It was actually really good and I was NOT expecting a double patty. That was a lot of burger, but I wasn't mad at it. We also tried the Burn the Boat burger. It was good, but it needed way more bad boy sauce. I could barely taste it. The shrimp fajitas came out sizzling (love that for presentation), but the veggies were a little too charred for my liking. And the salsa? Not it. Everything else was solid though. For drinks, we had Cabernet and Prosecco. Both were good just slightly overpriced, especially considering the limited selection. Overall, it's a solid 3.5 for me. I'd come back and try something different, just knowing to expect a wait.

Don't get me wrong, I totally get that stress that many restaurants are under in getting quality employees, let alone enough employees to run a shift and understanding that I am very forgiving about maybe a little extra time it takes to take your order or get your food out. That wasn't the issue here. No one took an order until we asked 3 times, which even in the most forgiving situations is unacceptable. I'm trying to give you money yo and it was early. Food wise, when you read the menu it all sounds spectacular, but my friends ordered a few items and they both said that it was quite flavorless and honestly that's how I felt about my drink. Switched to beer after. Speakeasy implies a level of expertise in cocktails not sugary run of the mill. Like I said in my opening salvo, this is a beautiful location. I would love to think that this a great spot to rent out of an event or party but I will be honest, I'm not sure what kind of experience you will be getting. Attention detail doesn't seem to be their strong suit, if you want an example, check out their website and look at their hours. What's going on with Thursday?
