Mixed drinks were awful. Sent one back and it returned just as bad. If you go here, get a beer.

Great place to go and have a few beers. They have dart boards pool tables and a jukebox. All the people that work here are friendly.

Motor City Sports Bar & Grill - Motor city burger

Motor City Sports Bar & Grill

Came in for a quick meal before hitting the movie theater nearby…read more Parking is plentiful near the door with an overflow lot in the back. The bar area was pretty busy but it was 5pm on a Friday so it's expected after work crowd. The vibe was nice, music flowing, good energy. Busy but not over whelming or chaotic. We ordered at the bar and found a seat to wait. Food took a minute but again it was busy. I had chicken strips and fries. Order comes with 4 strips and steak cut fries. Pretty decent no complaints. My drink was Jameson and ginger ale. Glass is pretty small for the price. Overall good experience would return if in the area

I've been to Motor City Bar and Grill before for a night out, and I had a great time. The drinks…read morewere solid, and the crowd had good energy--no complaints at all. However, I didn't try the food on that visit. This time, I decided to get the full experience. While the bar doesn't offer a happy hour or lunch specials, the menu is reasonably priced, so I can see why. That said, I was a bit surprised that my house margarita came out to $12. Service-wise, the experience was great. My bartender was super cool and attentive. For my meal, I ordered the house margarita and the Motor City Burger, which features a 1/2 lb. burger patty, 3 oz. of corned beef, and a mix of Swiss and American cheese. The standout for me was the corned beef--it absolutely carried the burger. Unfortunately, the patty itself lacked seasoning, which held the dish back a bit. Overall, I wouldn't count this spot out. It's still a great place to hang out and grab drinks, and I noticed a few other menu items that caught my eye for next time. Motor City Bar and Grill remains a solid spot to unwind with good drinks--I'm looking forward to trying more from their menu soon!

The Coach Sports Grille - Cajun Fries

The Coach Sports Grille

Coach Grille is primarily known for its burgers, though specials, such as lamb chops and braised…read morerabbit, are occasionally available. The staff is efficient, and the atmosphere is welcoming. To start, the split pea soup and onion rings are both solid choices. The soup is made in-house, and the panko-breaded onion rings were crispy and firm. I happened to dine in when lamb chops were on special. They were meaty and cooked just right. As for the burgers, Coach sources its meat from Fairway Packing Co. and its buns from Cannelle by Matt Knio. I've tried the All American and the Coach burger. The All American features standard toppings, while the Coach burger is topped with an egg, cheddar cheese, bacon, and a special sauce. Of the two, I preferred the Coach burger, though both were enjoyable. The French fries are hand cut and on the thicker side. The Cajun fries had just the right amount of seasoning, and the garlic fries were well complemented by the cotija cheese and garlic aioli. Fries are not included with any of the handhelds. For dessert, I've had the peanut butter cheesecake. It was rich, with a brownie-like crust. Coach Grille shouldn't be compared to the average bar. While the menu features typical bar food, the quality is well above the norm. Whether you come here for a burger, or something else, you won't be disappointed.

Coach Sports Grille is probably one of the most underrated spots in the area…read more The food is on point, the menu is pretty diverse, and the servers are friendly and helpful. I've spotted a new special every time I've been, so they keep things fresh and rotational which you don't always see in sports bars. So far, I've had the Pulled Pork Brioche, Gourmet Burger, and Suicide Burger but there's more of the menu I'd like to try. My only criticism is the french fries are thick cut steak fries which aren't my preference and despite the Garlic Fries being talked up a lot, I thought they were on the bland side. If they added shoestring fries and a nice house made Caesar dressing and Chicken Caesar Salad, they'd be the perfect spot for me.
