The ambience was good at pool tables waitress was great but six dollars for a can of Olson is absolutely crazy and you're just off of female. Still like this dive bar and I have a few friends from the neighborhood that come here. They recently added a rear smoking section, I can't stand smoking but if that's your thing there you go. One nice thing is that they always have a hot bartender. Also one pool table and a jukebox that rocks. It can get a little loud here because it's small but what are you going to do. I've been here twice now within the last year with other African American friends, and each time, we've had to deal with racial discrimination of different forms. Whether it's conversation and or slurs, or the very obvious way that the juke box is interrupted or turned completely DOWN when we play music from "our" culture or our people. When mentioned, the bartender makes excuses. However, the second any "other" music is played that's when the volume returns. We also are not waited on or serviced by the wait staff unless we leave our seats and approach THEM. That's not how service "works". Needless, to say, I've shared my experience with others, and they have had equal to the same about this place. The very last time I was here, (and I DO mean LAST), a couple of African American woman had put $5 worth of money into the jukebox for a total of 15 songs. Guess what...they were cancelled "supposedly" by someone with a phone who interrupted them. Yeah, ok. Done. Petty tactics and poor customer service. Word to the wise, word of mouth is KING, especially when you're a prominent person in and out of the City. Won't be back. Been my go to local bar for years, as it is in walking distance from home. Celebrated many birthdays there, including last night for my 37th. They give great pours on wine and we drank plenty. The DJ was amazing and played all of our weird requests as we sang from the table. Service is always great and it's a true local hometown bar. I don't go out often anymore, but every time I do, we end up here and are never disappointed. read more

One of the many dive-ish type bars in the greater Saint Clair Shores area. It's basically the kind of place you go if you want really cheap beers and enjoy watching some of the locals get ridiculously hammered and make fools of themselves. I'm pretty sure they do karaoke every weekend. It's exactly what you would expect from a dive concerning the quality of karaoke. I will say, however, that there are a few regulars who do a good job of mixing up songs. Many of these small bars that do karaoke have an overwhelming number of people singing really sad country songs that nobody has ever heard or really terrible top 40 songs from 5 years ago. Throw in a few Michael Jackson songs here and there and it makes the weekend experience tolerable. read more

Got my drinks last and was talked to like I was no one. Would love to come back as long as that bartender is no longer working. Run of the mill suburban dive that might be a cool spot l if it wasn't overrun with old men nursing their bottles of High Life and playing Keno. It's small, has pool, darts, & video games. Drinks are cheap - especially the HEFTY Jager shot they'll pour for only $4.50. Aside from the prices though, there's nothing special here. read more

New name is now Goodfella's, but I'm not sure what's good about it. We went once, on a recommendation from a friend, I'm not so sure what she likes about the place. There are dive bars then there are dumps, this one is definately a Dump. Drinks were fair, not strong but cheap. Pizza, I wondered why it took over an hour to get the pizza, once we got some round charred thing I figured out why. Service was pleasant, prompt with the drinks, but never even bothered to check on what was taking the cook so long to burn the pizza. Yep, once was enough. read more

I live down the street from this place, so I end up there a lot more than I would like too. All the local drunks come to this bar. Basically a bunch of middle aged people hammered off their ass by 5pm. It's an okay spot but nothing special. read more
