So I go here decently often as I love the ambiance of the loud sports/music and the arcade next door is just a cherry on top with the strong drinks and lovely waitstaff. The problem I am having is this pla It seems like this place doesn't really take reservations seriously. Every time I call, I'm told everything is set, but this is now the second time we've arrived only to have staff act like nothing was communicated. The first time this happened, it was for my girlfriend's birthday. Thankfully, the staff turned it around and made it fun for her by giving her a birthday shot and celebrating with us. Yesterday, however, for my own birthday, the experience was completely different. Our reservation felt forgotten, and to make things worse, the waitress actually started serving other guests at our reserved table. Later in the night, I asked the bar for a birthday shot, just like my girlfriend had received before, but the bartender dismissed me and said they don't do that. When I explained politely that it had been done for her, his response was "yeah, so?"--which came across as unnecessarily hostile. I had already had a couple of drinks, so rather than escalate, I just walked away. Still, the disrespect felt uncalled for. To top it all off, when the night was wrapping up and they were closing, that same bartender was yelling at people to "get tf out," which felt really unprofessional. Overall, it was disappointing to spend my birthday here and feel treated this way. I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. read more

Never had any problems and I enjoy the food and prices of drinks. the bar is nice and the tv's always have a game on. I enjoy the fact they give you a punch card to get a free lunch after x-amount of purchased meals. The arcade is a nice little touch as well and the pool tables are not damaged in anyway. CJ's Pub and Arcade is truly a hidden gem located in Shelby Township. So many options suitable for everyone even if you're a late nighter as they do close at 2am!! They have Multiple TV's around the interior which is perfect for any sporting event (Never a cover charge either). If sports isn't your thing, they also have 2 Pool tables and even hold tournaments on Tuesday's. Okay if your like me and pool isn't your thing, they also have a spacious game room in the back which features 2 Basketball games, Air Hockey, 2 Mario Cart games, a huge Jenga set, cornhole boards and my personal favorite not 1 but 2 Eletronic Dart Boards. The staff resembles that of "Cheers" where they'll get to know your name and drink order. The kitchen has some of the best "Pub" food around, my personal favorite is the Rodeo Burger. Although they are doing some kitchen renovations so please be patient with them. Many of us are anticipating the reopening of the kitchen and seeing what new yummy foods will be added to the menu. All n all if you're ever in the Shelby area and looking for a fun night, hands down CJ's pub is the best place to go! read more

Server was very friendly- just still had to wave her in for service- was busy cutting lemons. 3 people - 2 ordered salads; that were huge- I went with club sandwich- came with chips. Tasted good. Was looking for a new place to eat and watch a Tiger game. Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. Christine our waitress was so friendly and attentive. We first ordered the boneless wings, they were great, then the burgers, juicy and cooked to perfection! This will for sure be a regular spot for us. Went back today and again the service and the food were great, my only remark would be they need to clean up better, place was not busy when we arrived but there were several tables that had not been wiped down, food and stuff all over the floor and food and dust under pool table. My opinion, should be cleaned and vacuumed every night after closing so it is ready for the next day. If we go back and find it like that again will most likely not return. read more

the service was GREAT. our food was great. my friend and I wanted something different than Kay jays. CJ PUB surpass and Theo our waiter was always there to our needs. Very courteous and went above and beyon. in today's world young people do not want to work. Theo is exceptional. We also talked to Jerome the owner and I was surprised to have the owner come to talk to us. he wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the meal and service. Waitress seemed intoxicated or under the influence. Had to go to the bar to get refills. Actually had to wait a little long to place our order. When she came back she gave the refills back to wrong person, there were only 2 of us. I watched a older couple sit for 10 plus minutes and then walk out. The server didn't know what beers were on tap, served the beer I asked for with a fruit fly in the glass. The food was eh, I got a sampler and it was over cooked and kinda greasy. But what do you expect from a cook that was more interested in playing pool with the manager then cooking. And the manager was busy giving out and drinking shots. Okay so the only reason I even discovered this place was because I was doing laundry at the laundromat in the same plaza and got bored sitting there. I took a walk and found this gem! The waitstaff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I sat at the bar and it seemed that the clientele was mostly "regulars" so everyone was chatting and in a good mood. The atmosphere is very "bar-like" and has a good feel to it. The drinks are CHEAP and they have specials. I even ordered a burger and chips that came with a beer, all for $5.
