The bar space isn't my vibe but I came to Two Birds for the pop up restaurant. I like that Two Birds frequently hosts different pop-ups regularly so I'll be returning just for the food. While I waited for my food I ordered a non-alcoholic drink. I like that non-alcoholic drinks are cheaper than alcoholic drinks. Some places want to charge the same amount for both and that's ridiculous to spend over $12-15 for a drink with no alcohol. Service is so-so. I ordered the Imagine non-alcoholic cocktail. The menu states that it is made of guava, lemon, cherry, dulce de leche. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any guava, lemon, or dulce de leche. It was just a cherry drink. I assumed they didn't have the ingredients to make the cocktail I ordered. read more

I like this place. It was a little hard to find at 1st. For anyone looking, it apart of the raised houses on the corner of Kercheval and Maxwell. It's a small bar at the end of the row of businesses. I really enjoyed my drinks, the imago and cherry high, which were recommended by the bartender. I definitely would come back here to get those again and try some else. They have a few mocktails and you can get some of the drink without alcohol as well. If they do it right, then you'll have a great mocktail that tastes better than "just juice". They have a window in the back where you can order some tacos to eat before or with your drinks. I like this place and I'll be back soon. The ambiance is chill and very casual. Great vibe here. Been to Two Birds twice and it was much less hectic this time, but somehow the bar missed our order so we were waiting a while before we realized they just weren't going to call us. I did not enjoy the Quench N/A drink, assuming that's what I was indeed served. It just tasted weird and nothing like the advertised ingredients. My partner's drink was very boozy and tasted like expected, but nothing out of this world. Would love to come here on a nice day and enjoy the patio with a bite to eat, looks like they have a cool Lebanese (or similar) pop up going right now. read more

We were in the area for dinner at Marrow but a bit early for our reservation, so Nate and I stopped in to Two Birds for a drink. I'd never heard of this spot before but was so glad we found it, because we had a great experience. The bar is kind of small and cozy, but it wasn't busy around 3:30 on a Sunday. They have a nice list of $12 cocktails, which is kind of a bargain these days. I got a hot cider with rum that was delicious - not too sweet or boozy. I really liked the bird mugs they had. They also have an interesting wine list, canned beer, and a few options on draft as well as bottles and cans to take to go. They don't have a full food menu, but there was a brunch pop up happening that day. They have some snacks for purchase. In the summers they sell soft serve custard ice cream and there's a walk up window for ordering - the bartender said it gets pretty busy for that. I loved the ice cream photo wall in the bathroom as well as the playlist. I also appreciated the chill vibe and not having to yell to talk, although it wasn't busy at the time we were there. The seating is a little weird, with really low benches around the perimeter and short stools. I overheard the bartender saying that one of the owners also owns the Collect beer bar, which has similar seating, so that made sense. They have patio seating for warmer months. I loved this little spot and would definitely stop in again. read more

I didn't spend too much time here because I went on a Tuesday night and it was late, and I live 40+ minutes away so I can't really give a definitive review, but I will review what I experienced. A house converted into a bar is always a cool concept when pulled off. And TWO BIRDS did a fine job of it. The seating is limited inside but when the warmer weather hits, they do have outdoor seating available. Parking is street only, but if you map it out, there is some parking lots close by for other businesses you can try and see if you can park there. I had one drink: BRUCE, which was very good and not too strong on the liquor, so everything blended well. My wife's drink was good as well. The bartender was very kind as well as the gentleman with the really cool frames. Music volume could have been a little lower. It was a bit of a struggle to hear my friends talk. But all in all, I will come back again to partake in more of what TWO BIRDS has to offer. I wasn't disappointed. Especially during the pop-up times. Check their website for more details. read more

Off the beaten path bar that seems to be located in a repurposed family home. Laid back interior with comfortable seating and a couple of bartenders behind the counter. Good beer selection mostly on cans, as well as thc-laced food. Settled on an IPA ($7) and took a seat at the corner. Not much else to say here, the place had some good music, wasn't too crowded, and the ladies behind the bar were super nice. My friend found Two Birds while looking for a place for a pre dinner drink. Located in east Detroit, the bar is a part of a revitalized business block. The bar is one half of large converted houses, sharing a large patio with Mumma Maria's. While all of this does mean there's going to be hipsters, it appeared to have good mix of patrons (including others like us pre reservation for dinner) and managed to mostly maintain a neighborhood bar vibe. I'll give part of the credit to the bar tenders, who were cool while attentive and friendly. The drink menu had a good variety, cocktails (and a couple mock tails), wine, and beer. We were particularly appreciative of the aperol spitz, highly recommend as a light summer drink, and that they had orange wine. Two Birds is located in one of several buildings that look like family homes, with its grey vinyl siding, bright white trim, and wide porch. I was enjoying the cool autumn weekend, waiting for my friend at one of the picnic tables on the porch and noted the neighborly atmosphere. There were friendly nods and impromptu conversations in a laid-back atmosphere. I had a vanilla and pumpkin soft serve while my friend had a lemony cocktail. Before coming to Two Birds, I did some quick research to get a feel for what I should expect... I saw only 5 star reviews! I'm here to tell you, they're well deserved. Two Birds is exactly what I'm looking for from a good bar experience. Low key atmosphere, with a good selection of drinks, assortment of seating options, cool staff, and great music (the music... allow me to wax poetic in a few moments). I stopped by Two Birds on a Sunday night and it was empty when we arrived, but fairly full by the later portion of the night. I think most folks know this is a great place to hang out, and they've built themselves quite a crew of regulars. The menu of signature drinks has some great options, and you'll likely find something that piques your interest. If not, not to worry! There's a full selection of wines and beers (and a great section of non-alcoholic beverages too!). The prices are reasonable, and it's the perfect place for a date night. Additionally, I believe Two Birds does different pop up food options -- while I was there, they'd had Hand Pies as the food of the evening, and I'll just say that the Hand Pies were just fantastic. Alright... as promised, the music. The music at Two Birds was so fantastic that it felt like they were playing a playlist curated exactly to my taste, with a mix of songs from various times in my life that were influential and really brought me back to some great memories. Extremely impressed with not only their choice of songs, but also their capability to structure the music flow in a natural and joy-inducing way. Of course, all of this is subjective, but objectively, I (obviously) have great taste in music so it must mean something :) . I was out at 12 last night with my book club which is pretty late for us so we all were searching for somewhere to go. I then shouted in excitement because I found Two Birds we then started on our way there. When we arived there was no wait - Susan likeyy- we then ordered our drinks and food the drinks were a little watered down but good I saw on my friend Debra's glass there is ants crawling on the rim. EW. We look at the menu to make sure it's not just some gen z new style drink when we check my book club and I are shocked. We ask our waiter for a refund and she bombards us with rude comments, saying how we are too old to be out at this time and we are the ones that probably attracted the ants. 0/10 would NOT recommend. read more

When we visited, Village Hand Pies Detroit was serving up delicious pasties behind Two Birds and that was the cherry on top of a perfect evening. It is collaborative efforts like this that make this spot so unique. This place is hoppin'! Much like its sister establishment focusing on craft brews, Two Birds draws an eclectic crowd of people who know good drinks. The menu shows a level of complexity that liquorists will appreciate. There is ample seating indoor and outdoor and the mixologists really hustle to ensure you don't go thirsty. The menu truly has something for every taste and doesn't overwhelm you with superfluous choices. Every drink is an original and worthy of a spot on the well curated cocktail list. We didn't try the wine or beer but but it is certain that the same care was taken in their selection. Came here for a pre-dinner cocktail! Loved the set up where you order at the bar and take our drink to your seat. It was beautiful outside so after we ordered we decided to stand on the outside railing to enjoy your drink! All 4 drinks our party had was delicious! I met up with a friend for a drink before heading out for a night on the town. We found a great spot at the bar and quickly became acquainted with Ryan, who has such an incredible personality and can mix up a perfect cocktail. We were having so much fun that we didn't want to leave. If you stop in for a drink my two favorites are the Summer made with Vodka, Lillet Blanc, Lavender, Orange, Hibiscus and Honey. The Lush is probably my most favorite made with Strawberry Rhubarb Aquavit, Probitas Rum, Mint, Grapefruit and Cava Bubbles. They also have a great selection of other cocktails, beer and wine. Im giving this place three stars because its local but in my heart its a one star establishment. Weird ambience!!! I went for "brunch" here with my friends after fighting them on it and unfortunately i was right and shouldve gone somewhere else. They serve fast food style cuisine at vegan cafe prices through a little window in the back if the bar, most of it comes wrapped in foil. Theres not many real seats so we sat up against these window benches and ate. Gross threw my burrito away. I felt derelict eating out of tinfoil with no plate at a dive bar at noon. Why offer food if theres no service or plates or chairs?? Just stick to being a bar. I dont know not my vibe and would never recommend sorry you guys read more
