Get the lobster bites!!!!
Tiffany Z.

Very cool ambience, comfortable but super stylish decor. Great liquor selection, wine list, premium to be sure. Nice outdoor patio section. The lobster bites are A MUST! Along with the hotdog. We didn't get the charcuterie but we saw someone order it and it also looks too notch BUT everything else on the menu can be skipped. The pizza and flat bread - tastes like it's frozen and just heated in a microwave style oven. It was a stark difference between lobster bites and hot dog. Cocktails are good but I found it counter intuitive that they give out plastic bottles of water instead of using glasses and a pitcher of water, they use the small one serving seltzers/tonic and other cocktails mixes. There's a lot of needless waste produced throughout the day. The bill: 6 drinks, 10 lobster bites, 1 hot dog, 1 8" pizza was almost $300 boy including tip yet. Could you have a smaller bill? Sure, just order one or two lobster bites per person and have one drink.

Cellar 313 is in Grosse Pointe Park's Cabbage Patch neighborhood. There is outdoor seating with heating. The interior's ambiance is sophisticated and classic, typical of a fine wine bar. I did not have alcohol, but a high school friend and I split the Lobster Roll ($28). The menu described the Lobster Roll, in part, as succulent Maine lobster trickled with melted butter and lemon served with organic chips. The Lobster Roll was underwhelming. There weren't any large chunks of lobster, and it was light in flavor. The sandwich was already small, but after splitting it in half with my friend, I think I finished it in two bites. Also, the "organic chips" are a bag of Route 11 chips. I like Route 11 chips, but it's not like these were real organic chips made in-house from russet potatoes peeled and cut in the kitchen. Come here for drinks but skip the food and eat elsewhere for dinner.

Charcuterie & Cheese Board.

I came here over the weekend, and easily procured a seat outdoors. I'm not sure if I was lucky because of the weather (a bit chilly for a summer night), because it was Labor Day weekend, or because COVID has greatly slowed things down, but whatever the reason was we were sat right away. My date and I didn't end up drinking wine the night we went, but we did order a Charcuterie & Cheese Board. It was decent enough. The meats & cheeses were all very good, but my date wasn't happy when the olives came and there was only 1 black olive. And the crackers were all Costco staples, instead of higher end crackers, which is what I was expecting. The bread that came with it was very nice though. We also ordered the Carpaccio, which is thinly sliced beef on a bed of arugula (a TON of it) and topped with olive oil and capers. This was delicious, but the portion was a bit small for $20. We also ordered the Caprese Salad, which was well seasoned with a decadent balsamic glaze on top. I used the bread from our other appetizers to make a small Caprese Sandwich. Lastly we ordered a Cheese Flatbread & a Pizza with a few toppings. Both were both nicely cooked, with a thin crust. I have to say that the price point for the food and beverages were pretty much what one would expect for a place of this caliber, particularly being located in/near Grosse Pointe. So, why only 3 stars? Well, besides being a bit let down on the Carpaccio portion and the crackers & olives, it really was the service that ultimately dropped this from a 4 Star (possible 5) to a 3 Star visit. Our server, who was very nice when she came to our table, was just not checking in with us enough. The place (outdoor tables AND indoors) was extremely slow, so I was taken aback by how little she came around. When I asked her to bring my Coca-Cola with the flatbread she said, "Sure," but then brought it 5 minutes later. When I asked for another Coke she never brought one out. And when I gave her the international sign to bring the check & asked for boxes, it took over 15 minutes for her to actually bring the boxes and get me out of there (the date wasn't going horribly, but I was over it and wanted to dip TF out). So, while she was certainly pleasant when she was around she needed to be less lackadaisical and more speedy in bringing the things I asked for, bringing them at all (i.e., the 2nd Coke), and check in more. Overall I would likely come here again, and will change my review if things are different, but in general I would be prepared to spend an extra 25-35 minutes or more here then you think you will (regardless of how busy they are).

Steven is waiting on us tonight, he's cool, chatty, easy to deal with our chatty and indecisive selves on drink and food orders. My friends settled on the black Manhattan, it's potently strong and was a hard drink for my friends, they babied it for over an hour since it was such an intense drink. Steven was able to make me a virgin mojito and did a stellar job it. My friends had never had it before and like it so much they ordered another two more mojitos with tequila instead of rum. We settled on the Veggie pizza, 2 orders of the White fish spread, Burrata salad, Caprese salad, Lobster roll and all all Cheese charcuterie board. The food menu print was hard to read and definitely need to remove the outdated menus to avoid future confusion about availability. Steven came back to let my friends know there's no burrata, that was on the older menu. They decided on a Caprese salad too. The Caprese salad was nice with the big chunks of buffalo mozzarella, balsamic glaze, arugula mixed with basil bedding. The white fish spread was good, maybe could have used a few more crackers. Definitely made with fish, strong essence of fish in the spread. The lobster roll was good, bun was slightly crunchy and the lobster meat chunks were delicious. Really liked the organic truffle potato chips. The charcuterie board was my absolutely my favorite part of the meal, such a nice blend of Parmesan, manchego and two other domestic cheeses. Loved the Marconi almonds, assortment of antioxidant berries, baguette and dark grain crackers. My friend enjoyed their pizza and Caprese salad too. A bit of confusion with the bill since we had wanted our bills split from the beginning and getting charged for two charcuteries, but we got it all sorted out and a bit of confusion on the all cheese charcuterie versus the meat and cheese charcuterie too, but every issue was quickly addressed and made right. It was a fun and good night, flexible to move from our original seats to the big table for all 4 of us to eat and then returning back to our original seats to allow the next bigger group to sit at our table so they could eat after us. Steven was good to us, attentive and checked up on us to make sure we were all good. It was a good night of food and company.

What a fantastic wine bar! We were making our way around the Pointes for the evening and the 313 was our final stop of the evening! We made our way to the bar area where we were greeted by the owner. He had some awesome selections of wine which we tasted and ended up enjoying a fantastic Pinot Noir. They often have wine events here and I am really looking forward to coming back.

Great view!

They have great cocktails for sure, but they actually charge for water.... that is not acceptable in my opinion.

Nate and I stopped in on our most recent visit to Detroit and had a lovely experience. The space is tucked away but had a surprising amount of outdoor space--we were there in January but I'd love to come back in the summer. We were greeted right away and given a spot near the bar. The menu includes cocktails, lots of wine, and several tasty food options. It was quite busy inside, so it took a bit of time for our server to come over to us, but we weren't in a rush. They had ten cocktails on their list and I tried the bullet proof soul and Nate got the negroni alla perra. The ingredients list for some of the cocktails include things I've never heard of, but at a place like this, I just know it's going to be good. Our drinks were perfectly balanced and very tasty. We also ordered the mortadella sandwich to split--this was delicious. It was pretty messy, but worth it. It was perfectly toasted and full of mortadella. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I would love to try more of the food options. Can't wait to visit again!

There's artwork, a skatepark, renovated houses, gardens and a church that is now an art gallery. We stopped in to check it out and sat at the bar for a cocktail and snack. The waitstaff were super helpful in explaining everything and we finally picked 2 apps and got drinks. Both were amazing. There were friendly patrons all around and we chatted with other bar admirers. We checked out the coffee shop, Warda, but didn't purchase anything then, but have had several of their desserts since then and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is wonderful, indoor/outdoor bar, great outside seating - not sure how this will work in the winter? They also have very pretty stone paths with multicolor stones mixed in for a very peaceful beautiful look. It inspired me to add some multicolored stones to my garden! I can't wait to return.

Everything tasted super fresh and the menu leans more "snacky" in the best possible way -- perfect little plates that are clearly meant to pair with wine. We ordered a few things for the table and it felt like the kind of place where you just keep ordering one more thing because everything sounds good. Nothing heavy, just really well done bites that let the wine shine. Speaking of wine, the selection is awesome. It's not the usual predictable restaurant list. There are some really interesting bottles and styles on there, which makes it fun if you actually enjoy trying different wines instead of just defaulting to the same thing every time. Service was great too. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the owners are really hands-on and working hard to make the place special. That always makes a difference. And the ambiance... chef's kiss. Moody lighting, cozy, stylish but not pretentious. Just good vibes all around. It's the kind of spot you want to linger at with friends and a second bottle of wine. Already planning my next visit :)
