These guys knew what they were doing. Every drink is carefully made. Very attentive and friendly staff. Great place in town.

This place is unique as it only serves mixed drinks, all liquor drinks with very interesting ingredients and they are good! Also use those big ice chunks in your drinks. Everyone is very nice there and they also have igloos outside that are heated and a fire pit! Very cool! I always stop in for a quality drink when I'm in town.

It's been a decade since I visited downtown New Baltimore, and wow have things changed! It was so nice to see the downtown busy and bustling. We stumbled upon this newer distillery and noticed the outdoor patio had some patrons with their dogs. Since we had our dog with us, we stopped in. They have an amazing outside patio with a firepit that I imagine will be packed this summer. We were greeted with a pup cup for our dog, featuring whipped cream and a milk bone! How sweet! There is an indoor and outdoor bar. The inside bar has more options but the outside one did have quite a variety. I had the sailor's delight and it was very refreshing. I also learned their vodka is gluten free which is aweome. Can't wait to visit avain!

We absolutely loved this place!!! If you aren't familiar with this downtown area, you're missing out! I hate to give this spot the credit it deserves because it's going to be crazy over crowded this summer! This distillery opened in December and had really blown up quickly!! We had the pleasure of talking to the owner. She actually lived in my neighborhood! It was fun to reminisce about the area from the early 2000s. They then moved to the new Baltimore area. This spot is small but quaint. The bartenders paid attention to everyone in the place. We never felt ignored. In fact, we felt like like the only patrons! I ordered "Close Quarters" and "Idle Hour". He ordered the old fashioned side wheel and a traditional old fashioned. Their bottle prices were extremely reasonable. So we got a bottle of Gin to add to the collection of locally distilled favorites! They have an amazing outdoor patio area and they are getting a portable outdoor bar!! We can't wait to back this summer!!

Amazing after dinner stop at Tashmoo Distillery. I enjoyed the atmosphere/ambiance & the amazing staff while enjoying my "Idle Hour"! It was delicious! Great conversation with with everyone sitting at the bar! I love this place

My wife was the one that found this place and it's a cool little distillery to go to.

Great spot! Came in on a special event and it was PACKED!…read more Everyone was so attentive and kind despite being over ran by drunken detroiters suffering from the winter blues. It is the first warm day in months and between the sunshine, the booze, and the music everyone was just vibing! Such a cool spot with great food trucks and speciality drinks. I want to come back when it's not slammed and take it all in

Outstanding distillery tour! The tour experience which include a well made tasty welcome cocktail…read moreis followed by a fairly in depth walking tour through the distillery followed by a fairly wide open and long tasting of all the spirits made at this facility. The tour is quite educational and fun and starts with the history of building and the story of six childhood friends who decide to start a distillery as adults, almost upon a whim, during a get together. American dream is alive and well folks! As part of this tour you will see the full process From the mash bill, to fermentation, through the distillation process, barrel storing/aging and finally end up in the bottling station. A full in depth explanation of how to make Bourbon from start to finish is given during this tour that I found truly fascinating and quite educational where I was quite impressed how they accomplish all this in a fairly small footprint. Tour aside, Detroit distillery makes some seriously good Bourbon, Vodka and Gin. They currently have 1500 barrels in Storage with an ever increasing distribution which speaks volumes on how well this small distillery is being received by the public and the quality of their liquor products. Overall if you are into Bourbon and have ever wanted to learn first hand how it is made and having the fun of a tasting integrated into the experience, THIS IS A CAN'T MISS tour you should actually do. And at roughly a $20 cost this is a great value on top of everything else. Five stars in my book all day long!
