The owner reached out to me to discuss my review. He explained that they have been trying to work out a better system to give people a better idea of their wait as well as methods to allow more people to experience their bar. We had the opportunity to come back tonight and the service we received was unmatched. The bartenders were extremely friendly and offered suggestions when we weren't sure what we wanted. The drinks were on par or better than drinks I've had at some of the top bars in the area. Since Halloween is next week, the bar was fully decorated and the ambiance was top tier. Popped in for a drink after dinner @ 9PM tonight Hostess was rude and said there was a 30 min wait. Unbeknownst to her the door behind her opened offering a glimpse into the bar. Every seat (save 2 or 3) @ the bar was open. When I asked "can't we sit at the bar?" she said they were all full. I politely told her there were several seats at the bar, she responded with hostility. Pity. My wife & I enjoy distilleries and would have loved a local distillery for the occasional craft cocktail here & there but I'd rather frequent a business who appreciates their customers rather than affronting them with hostility. read more

We moved to Royal Oak a little more than a year ago, and this is without a doubt the coolest place we've been to within a mile of our house! Awesome gift shop, surprise entrance, friendly host, attentive manager, amazing ambiance, loads of signature cocktails, and complimentary house popcorn. Very cool speakeasy style cocktail bar. The drinks were spectacular, I ordered the hubba bubba and espresso martini. Bring a jacket because they have the temperature set very low, we were all freezing. It's very dark and the tables are very close together, hard to bring a party over 3 people. My parents took my friends and I here on winter break from school. As someone who turned 21 during the pandemic, I haven't been to many fun bars. This is honestly one of the coolest places I've ever been!!! The bartenders were kind and knowledgeable, and were really great about accommodating my allergies. What is this place?! Stumbled upon it after a friend told us about it. Is it a speakeasy? Is it a distilling company with a side-bar? Is it an upscale cocktail bar? Really cool place downtown clawson, been a while since a classy but also not uptight place opened up in the neighborhood. I absolutely loved the decor, the play of light, dark and pattern was soothing to the senses. The drinks are good and not watered down. I found some very creative flavors too not the usual cocktails-the liquor might not be top shelf yet and you can taste it, but the flavors in the cocktails themselves are pretty great. The bartenders are attentive and the music is soft. If these are not reasons enough to go and switch-off for an evening, I don't know what are :) read more

Told me and my date it was a 3 hour wait. We waited 3 and a half hours and still did not get notice that our table was ready. Finally showed up after 4 hours and they told us that we won't be able to get in that night because it was actually a SIX HOUR WAIT!!!!! Not worth it for the expensive drinks and rude staff. Greeted at the door by Jeff who was very welcoming and gave us a rundown of the company and that they make their Spirits in house! We had a great experience with a treat of fresh warm popcorn and some amazing cocktails! Their creative spin and dedication to the craft provides cocktails for any palette. Cool atmosphere, great service and even better drinks. Really unique vibe inside. Our group had a great time at this Detroit cocktail lounge and there was a large drink selection to choose from. The Weiss Distillery vodka is organic and additive free, which helps to prevent hangovers, so that's always a plus! read more

Ok so as a surprise to me and outside of our normal Birmingham, MI hang where there is no issues! We went here with a 9pm reservation that we had a email confirmation for at the bar! As we walk in the "host" Ask a guy in front of us does he have a reservation and I didn't hear his answer cause I didn't care ... I was excited to try a speak easy that we had never experienced.. So once she walked in "A familiar Face" she came back with a not so happy look and said I don't see your reservation "well we have a confirmation" soooooooooooo what do you want us to do! She preceded to say well I don't see that there after a few Snead as comments like are you sure you have the right day! Then she looked and said oh I don't know what could have happened .. ok so after that 10 mins situation she says I don't have the 9pm reset at the bar that you booked and took us to some table in the corner right on top one some other customers. Needless to say "NO THANK YOU" I wanted the vibe we booked!!! So we left! As we where walking out I hear her tell someone I didn't see there reservation and they didn't like the table I gave them . Wow! So for me outing at only "VIBES" I am a IG influencer and I'f you are gonna to advertise a "VIBE" Let it be that! I am past disappointed and believe 1st impressions are everything ..
