We went to try out this restaurant at this new location and the new restaurant is very neat with all the branding iron stamps. Full restaurant large seating area. I ordered the moist brisket green chili sausage and St. Louis ribs. Sides green chili cream corn and macaroni and cheese. 1st of all the moist brisket was very tasteful one of the few restaurants that actually splits the brisket moist from the cap. I liked the sausage and the ribs were cooked perfectly no fall off the bone. The sides were great. My wife had brisket and turkey. The turkey was moist an flavorful and the moist brisket was very good. Side were green beans and potatoe salad. Also had homemade banana pudding. Very good. Only negative is there seasoning is light dusting of salt and pepper needs a little more seasoning and spices to there meat. Otherwise the food and sides were cooked perfectly. My hubby read an article in Texas Monthly about this place so I decided to give it a try the next time I was visiting my mom in the Panhandle. It's a decent sized place located on the old Olton road way. I got here around 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot had several cars. There are two entrances as you face the building from the parking lot. The one on the left takes you to the order counter and the one on the right takes you to a seating area. I ordered three lbs of pork ribs and 1 lb of brisket to go. I watched as the ribs and brisket were cut. The ribs are St. Louis style ribs that have a good smoke ring on them. The brisket was lean and cut in thick slices. It too had a good smoke ring. I didn't order any sides because I still had another hour on the road. I did get the usual condiments of pickle, onions, and jalapeños. My order smelled delicious as I carried it to my car. I finally got the opportunity to sample the bbq upon my arrival at my destination. Both the ribs and brisket had a very tasty dry rub the drew out the flavor of the meat but wasn't over powering. The smoke flavor was very pleasant as well. The brisket was so tender that I could cut it with a fork. The ribs were cooked perfectly. The meat stayed on the bone until I took a bite. Then the meat would easily come off the bone. This place will definitely be in my list of great bbq places. My only complaint is that the young lady who was taking my order was on her phone when I got to the register and it was apparently a personal call. She made me wait a least five minutes while she finished her conversation. She didn't apologize or care that she made a paying customer wait while she carried on with a personal call. read more

My husband ordered the 2 meat with brisket and a rib. The brisket was so tender and juicy. The rib meat fell off the phone and so delicious. We loved our meal. L we found ourselves in Plainview, Texas, on a Sunday afternoon while traveling across country. It was lunchtime, and we wanted some barbecue. We found this place and drove straight there to chow down. The service was fast, and the food was great! while we were sitting there eating, I noticed a stream of people stopping by to pick up orders they had called in, so it is obviously a popular spot with a local folks. We both got the brisket, and it was very good and incredibly tender. The baked beans were good enough that I wish I had gotten a double order of them. We sat in the covered porch outside at one of their tables. It was a bit warm (we ARE talking Texas in August), but still a pleasant experience. Some people make their barbecue sauce so strong and spicy that it overwhelms the food. Not here! The barbecue sauce was good, and nicely augmented the flavors of the food, without taking over. If we ever find ourselves passing through Plainview again, this WILL be where we stopped to eat! read more

This was recommended to me by a guy at the gas station. He was right you'll smell it when you get there!!! Some places smell good outside but the flavor went up the stack. Not here!!! Lots of flavor. Got sausage/ brisket sandwich. Brisket super tender and tasty, sausage, although not my preferred polish sausage, but the beef sausage, was really good too. Had a little bite to it that really worked well. Potato salad was super good too. Beans were good, but nothing to write home about... Kinda hidden behind Tractor Supply but worth the stop !!! Craving some bbq while in Plainview on business and one of the locals told me about the place. Its a small place for take out only, and as the name of the business says its only open fri, sat and sun. The smokers are out front and you get hit right in the ol factorys when you get out the car with a great smoked bbq smell. Tried the sliced brisket on fri and it melted in my mouth. Nice bbq ring, tender and juicy.... Better get a towel, napkins wont work, lol. Went back on sat and it was just as consistent. Too bad they are not in Houston and Dallas cause the line would go on forever! read more

Terrible service. Good food. IF they have any left. Horrible customer service for the last time... I have given chances and when you're treated like this more than twice you have to be done. The lady HUNG UP on me because they were out of what I wanted and it was taking a minute to change my mind. She said she had customers like I wasn't about to spend $70 on take out and click.
