Stopped by for the first time at this restaurant. It was good. We got seated right away and was served by Marisol. She was very attentive and took our order right away. The enchiladas verdes were very good. The special for the day was carne guisada. Their portions are generous. The salsa for chips was delicious. I was wanting Menudo, so I asked for a sample. Marisol was nice enough to bring me a sample. I have to say it was the best tasting menudo I have had in a very long time. My only issue was it was too spicy for my taste buds. Wow explored more of the dishes and I was so glad. The Chapala was amazing. Again great service and food. Doesn't disappoint.

I called I'm my order so I would not have to wait long. I told them twice what my order was. They always make the mistake of putting the wrong meat so I male sure to repeat it. I get there and when I finally get to the window they have my repeat my order 3 times. I finally get my food an hour later and it the wrong meat. When I call they pass me off to someone who I assume is a manager and then in the middle of my talking they pass me off to someone else. Would not recommend this place at all. However, I ordered steak quesadillas, three tortillas halved to make 6 quesadillas. The quesadillas came with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. It did have a good taste. I also ordered a Mexican Coke to drink, which was over 3 dollars, $3.65?. Most of the waitresses are Spanish-dominant speakers, but also speak some English. The total bill was about $16.65 for one person, $20 with a tip. Because of all the craziness going on. We chose not to dine in. We ordered to-go. They have a drive through window and they take call in orders as well. The food quality is amazing, and the prices don't hurt your pockets. The employees are always nice and they're bilingual. When you go through the drive through they usually have you pull to a parking space to wait while they prepare your food then they bring it out to you. I had a carne guisada burrito with beans and cheese, and my girlfriend had a torta de asada. They were both a good size and were so good. Absolutely delicious food!! So much flavor. We had Chilaquiles with green sauce & eggs instead of meat, carne asada & al pastor tacos, and carne en su jugo. Wow, I'm so impressed. From the outside it looks like a small hole in the wall joint, but looks are deceiving because inside it's beautiful and the food is amazing! Used to be a great place to eat. Last few times we've been in the service has been awful. If ICE did a raid, 90% of the employees would be deported so their rudeness and lack of attention to customers is extra irritating. Our waitress didn't even bother to come to our table when we first got their and we had to ask the hostess to go get her. She finally came out of the back and asked us what we wanted to drink. She brought us our drinks and then NEVER checked up on us until she was ready to give us the bill. On top of that, the food was decent and not as good as prior times and they add on an extra fee to an already expensive bill. Adios! Won't be back. read more

Well first of al let me just say that I love this place. Today we came in and the restaurant was almost empty. We waited about five minutes and no waitress. We had to ask a bus boy to get us a waitress. Waitress comes with an attitude doesn't even greet us. We should have left but decided to stay. Overall our breakfast was good. We were a large party and gave a lot of grace for that reason but even after half of our group walked out after 45 minutes and we still hadn't gotten drink orders and they switched our waitress out we still couldn't get the food or drinks we ordered. They weren't even that busy. I ended up paying for food and drinks we never received just to get out of there. Everything about this place was correct. From the prices to the portions to the flavorful food and margaritas. The salsa was the right kind of spicy and the chips were fresh and crisp. The menu featured a lot of large pictures which made it easy for the kids to pick exactly what they wanted. Our table had fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and a quesadilla which we all shared. Everything came with a serving of Spanish-style rice and refried beans. The fajitas were on special for $5.99. That is a rare low price for this Mexican dish, and it still came out sizzling! Been here before but the experience was terrible today waited 2 hours for my food and never got it never coming back.

This was not that great. Ordered the fajitas for two. I think they brought out the single. It only had 2 flower tortillas and 1 plate. The waitress asked if we needed another plate. Umm hello this is suppose to be for 2 so ya. When i asked if all we got was 2 tortillas she said no we were suppose to get 4. This leads me to belive we got it for 1 and the did charge us for 2. I had to even ask for silverware. On to the 3 fly's that kept divebombing us all through dinner. We had to kill them ourselves with the drink menu. Guess hunting was the entertainment for the evening. As for the food. It was ok a bit bland. The shrimp could have used a kick and the steak needed more flavour. The side fixings did not come with cheese that is extra. The service was fair at best. Had 2 different waitress waiting on us. They both came over once to see if we were doing ok. The place was slow. Over all they get 1 star. I am not being hard on them but the experience here was bad. read more

I love this place! It's like you're at home but in a restaurant. It has a cozy appeal like when friends drop in for a get together--and somebody is always dropping by. The best Mexican food in Plainview. The salsa is flavorful and chunky. I ordered the tacos Al pastor. They were awesome and only 7.99. The restaurant is always full of Mexican Americans so you know it's authentic. Very reasonable prices and a big staff so everything is fast even when it is busy. Lots of eggs and potatoes but what made it disappointing is the lack of meat....just a few bits of microscopic bacon mixed in with eggs.
