Disappointment! CLOSED For Sale sign out front. Went to El Camino and had a great lunch!

We stopped here for breakfast driving between Amarillo and Lubbock. It's a little bit off the main highway, but we were looking for something local and not fast food. Breakfast was perfect: food was great, service was fast and friendly and loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It is an old house, but really nice setup. We had breakfast burritos, which they let us really customize what we wanted in them. We also had the biscuits and sausage gravy: the biscuits were super fluffy and the gravy had a really nice flavor. We also tried the quesadillas (not really a breakfast item, but my son is weird): which was really good too. I noticed they didn't have menu pics, so I uploaded some. read more

Food was just ok- had the combo with enchilada, taco and relleno- and the relleno was the best item. Salsa options were both good. Small place in a small town, probably the only thing open when we drove through on a road trip. Service was great and friendly. read more

Stopped by Aylin's Cafe during a weekend getaway to Palo Duro Canyon. It was by far the best meal of our whole trip! My daughter and I both ordered 2 potato and cheese burritos and just about died when they came out. These are plate sized burritos with perfectly crisp and satisfying potatoes on homemade tortillas with just enough cheese to make it delicious without getting greasy. It was total perfection. My husband enjoyed his breakfast quesadilla and devoured the homemade biscuit. Thank you to Aylin's for the best meal of my birthday weekend! It was incredible!! read more

A good hot "Mexican" food meal, coupled with excellent wait(er) service. I ordered the stuffed pablano peppers (chicken + cheese) --- came with two large stuffed peppers, rice, beans, and the expected "salad {guacamole, cheese, lettuce, sour cream}" mix. There was ALOT of food on the plate. My husband ordered the steak fajita plate, which arrived sizzling and with copious amounts of food on the plate; and the server kept our drinks glasses topped off at just the right time (very attentive waiter). This was a very filling late lunch / early supper meal that hit the spot. What I'd do different? I'd ask for the cheese and salsa verde sauce (over the stuffed pablano peppers) to be on the side in each a little cup. I'd nix the bean and rice and ask for a side salad / garden salad. So much food! What I wondered about? (1) The little building this café is located in looks to be the old train station. There might be a desire to research historic preservation and registry; mighty fine looking building ... save what the town has before it's renovated into this decade. (2) The bathroom is a tight squeeze and probably questionable on ADHD access. read more

This restaurant is in an old building that may have been a historical two story home just off the town square. To order food you go to the counter and then you find a table if you are dining in. I have tried both their red and green sauces. Both are wonderful but I like the green the best. Try their combo 14 or 15. Delicious food! read more

The food is good but the owner is very rude. The staff lacks people skills tremendously.

Best Mexican restaurant around. Everything I've eaten there has been excellent. The plates are not swimming in grease like so many Mexican dishes sometimes have. Maybe my favorite part is no iceberg lettuce in sight. This place is really worth checking out. read more

We decided that this would be the place for lunch because of all the good reviews. Came on a Friday afternoon at 1 pm. All of the empty tables were dirty!
