I had asada taco plate. Good flavor but a little chewy. Hubby had fajitas. He said good flavor for that too. Prices were decent. Rice and beans bland. Salsa really didn't have much flavor either. Food was great! I've had shrimp quesadillas at way more expensive places in way bigger cities that tasted way worse. The portions were perfect for feeling great after eating. I found myself driving through Claude, Texas on a September Tuesday morning, and was looking for breakfast. There aren't many restaurants in Claude, and there weren't many open, but I managed to stumble on OJ's Mexican Restaurant, which had a bright OPEN sign lit, so I knew I was about to enjoy a delicious Mexican breakfast. As you walk in the restaurant, you'll notice, beside tables, there is a cash register and food for sale, which includes everything from fresh flowers to pre-paid money orders and phone cards to Mexico. Such a great breakfast! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the ranchero sauce was flavorful and spicy, but not hot, the potatoes were perfectly fried and the refried beans tasted like the amazing beans you find in a loncheria, at a small town in Mexico. The breakfast was delicious! When you're touring Claude, Texas, and you're in the mood for some great TexMex cuisine, stop by OJ's Mexican Restaurant. Very good authentic Mexican food. Its literally off the main highway and you just might miss it if you aren't looking for it. The 2 ladies were very nice and accommodating. I had the huevos ranchers, hubby had the chorizo w/ egg both came with bean and potatoes. Very good. Coffee was freshly brewed too. Quiet, out of the way, solid food. Nothing fancy but a perfect pit stop on a long drive.

Small spot (maybe 5 or 6 tables?) but the food is so so good. It was super clean and the woman helping us was the sweetest. She even put on the Disney channel so our daughter could watch WALL-E (the other table full of adults got really into the movie as well!). My friend and I were driving from Albuquerque NM to the Dallas area on a cold October Tuesday afternoon and was looking for a place to eat a late lunch on I 287 South. Saw this on Yelp and the good ratings. Only 2 places came up for Claude TX. It is easy to miss except for the big colorful sign. It looks like a hole in the wall kind of place but the Mexican food was plentiful, excellent and inexpensive. The waitress was friendly, good and attentive without hovering. I had the barbacoa plate and my friend had authentically made chili tell another and homemade guacamole. You could choose flour or corn tortillas. All of it was yummy. Drove through Claude at lunchtime and were really happy at this place. Perfect stop on our trip. Homemade watermelon (real fruit) agua fresca, spicy salsa, great tacos and delicious chili rellenos.
