    Chicken strips

I'm really dissatisfied with my chicken strips. This is how they looked without me tampering with them. Every single piece was torn up. It doesn't even look appetizing

Solid sandwich! Fresh bread ! Fresh fries ! Portions are large ! I recommend you get super ! A lot of meat ! Large enough to split with 2 people !

    Crispy chicken sandwich

This place has been known in Plainview for over 40 years for their homemade bread and quality of food. I had been hearing it had changed for the worse and I went to see myself. It was awful. I'm not sure what ingredients they are cutting out to save money on the bread but please go back to the Watson's recipe!!

We were passing thru and wanted something light since we were on the road. I asked the girl behind the counter to start with what was in the chicken salad and she read off ingredients from a label= not homemade! I also asked if they had a soup/sandwich combo before I order and she said no. My husband ordered turkey sandwich and tomato bisque. I ordered grilled chicken and broccoli cheddar soup. Each sandwich was $7.50 and cup of soup $4. When we got our food our sandwich didn't come with the fries as indicated on the menu. We asked and they said "we got the combo". We paid full price for each item and lost fries somewhere in the mix?! The grilled chicken was like eating leather. The bread was so thick and dry there's no way it was made today! Needless to say we left hungry after spending $26.

Potatoes are good. Staff is ok. It cleanliness is avg. They charge for split food and they do not state that any where on there menu.

Place is good but WAY over priced. If pricing was a bit more apt to the area and the item I'd give 4-5 stars!

You're not from 'round here, are ya'?…read more We wandered off I-40 to find some sustenance (not wanting to eat at a Dairy Queen or truck stop). We landed in downtown McLean at Lolly's. Upon entering, we were greeted by the cashier/busboy/waiter with, "Ya'll traveling?" We were the only non-locals in this joint. Fun spot to stop just for the local color. Lolly's is also a sort of grocery store, even though a lot of the shelves were bare. They also have a daily lunch buffet--"all you can eat" we were told. (The buffet was only about three feet long but they kept getting phones calls to see what was being served that day---chicken fried steak.) We split a bacon cheese burger (because it was a half pound affair) and some onion rings. Burger was well done but tasty. Everything was clean and service was friendly. Definitely not fancy, but cute and quaint. (One patron came in to buy cinnamon but the shelves were bare. No, worries. The cashier just went to the kitchen and came out with a small to-go cup with a bit of cinnamon in it for her. Gotta love small towns! )

What a trip! I expected tumbleweeds to come rolling down the street. If you ever find yourself in…read morethis little town with a population of about 125 or so, give this place a try. It's located on a street that looks completely deserted, and actually is for the most part. I mean, it looks like an old western movie set or something! It's just a stones throw from old Route 66 which is why I'm assuming most people would be in the neighborhood. It was our stop between The Route 66 Museum in Elk, OK and Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX. We were of course the only people in this little joint decorated with 50's nostalgia.... The cuisine is American comfort food as is most along the infamous highway. Here it's offered at insanely low prices. The kiddos were starving and ordered a pizza, 1/2 plain, 1/2 mushroom, a single pancake and some kind of corn nuggets the staff suggested with creamy dipping sauce. Kiddos were totally satisfied, loved the extra cheesy pizza and those fried corn things and had leftover pizza for that night. The guys that worked here were all super sweet. One was even originally from near my hometown! Another reason to stop here beside cheap nosh is a freezer filled with pops, microwaveable meals to go, as well as some toiletries, necessities, and groceries. It's definitely geared to those of us on the go, traveling The Mother Road. *Oh, and there's a gas station around the corner. We were told to fill up there as there's not another one for miles and miles! **A couple of neat things we stumbled upon while in the area are an old fashion abandoned gas station great for photo ops as well as a 10 Commandments sculpture on a corner just in front of the towns church which was pretty ironic being that it was Passover when we were here.
