I got a ham sandwich and there were only 2 very thin slices of ham. I love the fresh bread but with the thin pieces of ham, you couldnt even taste the ham, all you taste is the bread. This was one of the first places my gf brought me to in a date back in 2019! I ordered the turkey sandwich (see photo) And that has been my go to order every time we come here! If I don't get that I get the loaded potato with chicken! So good! The employees are always friendly and awesome! The food is always prepared in good ruing as well. I would put zero stars but that's not an option on yelp so I had to choose the lowest star possible. Will never eat there again. My boyfriend and I went to eat lunch together and after we sat down realized they had not given us our change or receipt. When he asked for his change they would not close both registers in order to count all the money right then. He asked them to at least review the camera to see. They refused and said they would call him back. The next day he went back to again try and get his $29 in change and they refused again and said they could not see very well with the angel of the camera. $29 is not a huge deal; it's the principle of the matter. At the very least they can change their cameras to get a better view otherwise what are they therefore. We will not eat there again. read more

This place has been known in Plainview for over 40 years for their homemade bread and quality of food. I had been hearing it had changed for the worse and I went to see myself. It was awful. I asked the girl behind the counter to start with what was in the chicken salad and she read off ingredients from a label= not homemade! I also asked if they had a soup/sandwich combo before I order and she said no. My husband ordered turkey sandwich and tomato bisque. I ordered grilled chicken and broccoli cheddar soup. Each sandwich was $7.50 and cup of soup $4. When we got our food our sandwich didn't come with the fries as indicated on the menu. We asked and they said "we got the combo". We paid full price for each item and lost fries somewhere in the mix?! The grilled chicken was like eating leather. The bread was so thick and dry there's no way it was made today! The service needs to be better. The girl at the register looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. To start with, she needs to throw out her gum, smile, and greet. Second, my order was ready, but that girl never turned around, even though there were no other customers at the time. I watched as people after me got their food. I finally asked someone, and another girl checked. It had sat behind cash register girl for 15 minutes. In all fairness, the people doling out the food to customers didn't check either or call my name. My fries and food were cold and it made me late getting back to work. This place is nasty! They don't even have provolone cheese. The turkey was rubbery and not fresh turkey breast by any means. The broccoli cheese soup had no flavor. All in all, really a disappointment. Go to Subway if you want a sandwich you can half way tolerate. read more

In town for business - my coworker and I were looking for somewhere we could grab a quick bite and get going. Fieldhouse Sandwich Shop was recommended to us and boy was it an excellent choice. I had the turkey sandwich with a cup of creamy potato soup. The bread is made fresh daily and they mean it! The soup was good and great portion size for a "cup", definitely worth every penny I payed. The $8 burger was the worst burger I have had from a restaurant EVER! It looked and tasted like a processed piece of meat served in a school cafeteria. The fries were cold and the girl insisted that "they had just come out of the fryer" and assured me they only leave them out for a certain period of time, but they are always "fresh"... and they were never replaced.
