My husband had the spaghetti works with Italian sausage and meatballs and loved it. This time we skipped the appetizer so we could order dessert. The cannoli and chocolate mousse cake did not disappoint. I wish we lived closer, this would be a regular stop for us.

Mia's is spectacular. I have had many calzones between West Texas and the East coast, and the East…read moreCoast calzones are by and large the best. The absolute closest you're going to get to a flavored and textured East Coast calzone is here at Mia's! They're ham and ricotta calzone is just like something you would order at a mom-and-pop shop in Pennsylvania or New York, and it's incredible! Both the calzone and a stromboli are generously filled cooked with a wonderful crunchy and well flavored yeast-based dough and crust with a light coating of a delicate butter garlic. These both came out piping hot! The cheese sticks were well sized and generously portion, but the bruschetta is by and large an absolute star of their appetizer menu. Generous amounts of tomato basil and onion with a olive oil and balsamic dressing. You could absolutely make that a meal on its own! I have not had a cannoli just yet, because I am quite in love with their chocolate mousse cake! A fair slice, very rich yet very light. On my next visit I plan on getting pasta and the cannoli!! All the staff were incredibly prompt, incredibly kind and stayed on top of any refills or extra needs. The food came out with great rapidity and we're all hot and accurate. Seating in here is very comfortable and open air. It is such a bright spot for Italian food in the middle of West texas, you absolutely should make the drive to Mia's!

We went to try out this restaurant at this new location and the new restaurant is very neat with…read moreall the branding iron stamps. Full restaurant large seating area. I ordered the moist brisket green chili sausage and St. Louis ribs. Sides green chili cream corn and macaroni and cheese. 1st of all the moist brisket was very tasteful one of the few restaurants that actually splits the brisket moist from the cap. I liked the sausage and the ribs were cooked perfectly no fall off the bone. The sides were great. My wife had brisket and turkey. The turkey was moist an flavorful and the moist brisket was very good. Side were green beans and potatoe salad. Also had homemade banana pudding. Very good. Only negative is there seasoning is light dusting of salt and pepper needs a little more seasoning and spices to there meat. Otherwise the food and sides were cooked perfectly. Very friendly staff quick service very knowledgeable of the food and sides

My hubby read an article in Texas Monthly about this place so I decided to give it a try the next…read moretime I was visiting my mom in the Panhandle. It's a decent sized place located on the old Olton road way. I got here around 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot had several cars. There are two entrances as you face the building from the parking lot. The one on the left takes you to the order counter and the one on the right takes you to a seating area. I ordered three lbs of pork ribs and 1 lb of brisket to go. I watched as the ribs and brisket were cut. The ribs are St. Louis style ribs that have a good smoke ring on them. The brisket was lean and cut in thick slices. It too had a good smoke ring. I didn't order any sides because I still had another hour on the road. I did get the usual condiments of pickle, onions, and jalapeños. My order smelled delicious as I carried it to my car. I finally got the opportunity to sample the bbq upon my arrival at my destination. Both the ribs and brisket had a very tasty dry rub the drew out the flavor of the meat but wasn't over powering. The smoke flavor was very pleasant as well. The brisket was so tender that I could cut it with a fork. The ribs were cooked perfectly. The meat stayed on the bone until I took a bite. Then the meat would easily come off the bone. This place will definitely be in my list of great bbq places. My only complaint is that the young lady who was taking my order was on her phone when I got to the register and it was apparently a personal call. She made me wait a least five minutes while she finished her conversation. She didn't apologize or care that she made a paying customer wait while she carried on with a personal call.
